Awful service
Awful service. I have been using Halfords Mot for years. Recommended to my daughter who used them and they blew up something in her brakes whilst testing them so she had to pay to have them fix them. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and used them. They charged me £60 for a diagnostic on my car even though the diagnostic was required for my car to pass! Quoted £400 for the repairs. Went to my local garage who charged me £0 for the diagnostic (which was a blue tooth device and took 39 seconds) who said they can do the repairs for £300. I then had to pay again for an MOT re-test. Will never use this rip off company again. All they care about is ripping people off for anything

Air-conditioning fault
Had an air-conditioning problem on the car needed to find where the leak was and the auto Centre did a test but unfortunately they could not find the leak as it may have been behind some panels. They did point me to the part that was at fault. Great service.

Booked MOT and service at Stockton…
Booked MOT and service at Stockton Halfords Auto centre (national tyres) and they couldn't have done more to ensure it was perfect. Customer service is excellent. Car was handled carefully and price was reasonable.

Rubbish Service
Have used Halfords multiple times for MOT's and tyres and they are usually OK.
However, this time, I had an MOT booked at the Sutton Coldfield Auto Centre for 24th September at 4:50pm, this was cancelled as their MOT tester doesn't work this late. Why is the option on the website?
I rescheduled for 24th September at National Tyres and Autocare Four Oaks, I was called 90 mins before my MOT to say the emissions tester was faulty. Rescheduled for 26th September at the same place. Was called 60 mins before my MOT with the exact same line I was given before. Not sure if this was true or they couldn't be bothered to do the MOT late in the day. Ended up cancelling the MOT as the service all round has been awful.
The only good thing was Kiano in the Customer Support Team through the website. But I likely wont use Halfords again now

I was given a breakdown of advisories, advised of the urgency with which this work needed to be carried out and given a clear breakdown of the costs this would involve. All in all, I was very satisfied with the service that I received from Halfords

Make sure you realise that the time you book a vehicle in is a drop off time only, not the time any work will start. I dropped my car off 15 minutes before my 11:30 appointment as stipulated, but the tyre change wasn't started until 12:26. That was the first time I was informed about the drop off bit. The work was competently done and the staff polite. What was the point of making an appointment?
