We make highly detailed minis in resin and metal. In the 19 years we have been established we have had many ups and down and seen many changes in the industry. This kind of review site is one of the major ones. We don't always get it right but 99% of the time we do. They are some of the finest miniatures available and had always had great service up until the past several years. Unfortunately health issues have plagued them the past few years and being it's only a few employees they've struggled to keep up with orders. I believe at the moment they are on a hiatus while they move into a new warehouse and clear overdue orders. It's a shame but some understanding goes a long way. Hopefully they can everything straightened out.

A terrible shopping experience
Order placed in February was not fulfilled, no customer service contact from the business website, no response through social media requests. Finally got a reply in July that the order will be looked at - now it's December, no contact, no support, no items. Emails and enquiries go unanswered.
It currently looks like the business is closed completely or "restructuring". research after placing my order shows a history of failed orders, false orders, unfulfilled kickstarters...

I waited literally a year for an order…
I waited literally a year for an order through their online shop. After a LOT of complaining (otherwise I suspect I’d still be waiting) the order arrived (albeit after the D&D Campaign I had ordered them for had ended) and I was told if I ever ordered from them again to let them know it was me… Foolishly I made another order (“fool me once…” I know!) and I told them I was the guy who waited a year for their order. I thought they might throw in a freebee or even just take extra care with my order. Nope. It took months, and arrived incomplete. I was promised a refund for the missing miniatures, which has never arrived.
I backed their Kickstarter which is running TWO year late, and no update for months…
Hasslefree used to be my favourite miniatures company - I recommended them to so many of my friends. The minis are really lovely, but the company is such a shambles.
I’m self-employed, I’ve been ill, I’ve been bereaved, but I’ve never treated my clients like this company treats its customers. There is literally no excuse for this, it’s just bad!

I have had wonderful experiences with Kev and Sally and their fantastic miniatures over the last 20 odd years. It should be noted that they have had a string of disasters in their lives, including a flood destroying their home and they all seem to have some horrible debilitating chronic diseases. So, not sure what to do about doing business with them these days, but it should be clear that they are not thieves and, based on many years of experience with them, they're lovely and reliable people. They're just having a horrible time with their health.
Currently ripped off over 500 customers
Haslefree has currently ripped off over 500 people through Kickstarter.(feel free to look up the Kickstarter and read the comments for the last year and a half) And if you currently attempt to purchase miniatures from their website, you will unlikely see any product come your way. This is the way it has been for the past 6 months. I would not recommend buying anything from them due to the incompetent owners.

What was once a great experience for excellent miniatures has really gone downhill in the last few years. Reports of poor service, communication, order fulfillment are far more frequent and despite protests and promises, little has been done to remedy the issues. What a shame. Very disappointing.

Getting better, although some trouble in the past, recent order has arrived
Update Nov 2024 - new website and what appeared to be renewed commitment convinced me to place a small order on 11.11.24, arrived 13.11.24! Now as mentioned previously I live quite close to their warehouse but that is super fast delivery and all in order, great quality miniatures; so updating this from 1 Star to 3 Star for now, if they continue to operate like this would be a 5 Star.

Ordered twice in 2023, one arrived within a couple weeks; the other was never received despite being marked completed after just over a month but never sent/received. Live relatively close to their warehouse and would order more (I'd even offer to collect if they would give this service) but they never responded to any emails (sent 4), gave them two months and then gave up on emails and opened a PayPal case to offer to work with them for a resolution, to which they didn't respond to the case. PayPal auto decided the case with a partial refund sadly, would have gladly worked with them as they do sell really nice miniatures, now I am out a few pounds and no miniatures.

For two miniatures I have been waiting for two months without even having any updates. They delete any messages on their social networks to avoid bad publicity and still do not respond. They don't seem to sell to anyone outside of Britain.
They are scammers! Don't trust them or the good reviews you will find!

Hasslefree will take your money, never reply to you, and never send you any minis
I have ordered thousands of minis from many different companies from around the globe for years. I have never had issues which I considered serious from any of them, until I ordered from Hasslefree Miniatures. Ironically, they are the only company which has been a hassle for me, and it was a major hassle. I ordered some minis in mid August 2023 from them. Expensive minis, which would have been a good chunk of income for them for very little effort. I got an automatic reply from them verifying the order and telling me it was being processed. A month later, I has heard nothing, so I sent them an email (sent as a reply to the email they sent me, as well as adding the email which they publicly list as well as another email I found on their web page, so all 3 emails addresses of theirs I could find) asking what was happening with the order. I got no response. Then I looked them up online and found out that since 2018 they have been filling orders (very slowly) for their old regular customers, but for newer customers they don’t reply to emails, delete Facebook questions about orders, and orders go for years without being filled or refunded, using the excuse that they have health issues (their health issues don’t seem to affect their ability to have sales on their website when they are deeply backlogged on shipping out orders from years earlier- it only affects their ability to ship out merchandise). On this site I saw that people had put reviews that said their merchandise hadn’t been sent out, which were 1, 2, 3, 4, or even 5 years old before Hasslefree bothered to reply to them, saying they will help them get their minis if they contact them. 5 years old before a response was sent! So I sent them another email 2 weeks after the first one, asking them again (to all 3 of their email addresses) what was going on with the minis. Again, no reply. So I followed the advice of people online who had waited too long to get a refund from their credit card company, and filed for a chargeback. While I was waiting for that to go through, I was also watching their Facebook page, which was hiding the comments of people who were asking what was happening with the minis they had ordered more than a year ago. They had time to hide comments but not to ship out minis. Then they had a sale on their minis. Then they had another sale on their minis. Meanwhile, it’s now 2024 and I never got a reply from them (even though months ago they wrote in their newsletter that they had responded to everyone waiting for minis and are all caught up, despite new Facebook messages showing up and being hidden as quickly as they can catch them) and I have now received a refund from the credit card company, because they never replied to their emails either. In addition, I was interested in a handful of minis which were out of stock, but were “Due in 3 weeks” way back in August, so I bookmarked them. Now, in 2024, they are still all “Due in 3 weeks”. I suppose if they don’t ever send out minis which you have paid for that are in stock, then it doesn’t matter if they take your money for minis that they have no intention of ever restocking either- it comes to the same thing. This company is a massive scam. Stay away from them, whatever you do.
3 months still no minis or good answer.
September 6th i ordered minis. By october 12th I started asking on messenger what had happened to my order… I kept asking several times without response. October 31st I finally got one, they were gonna check in what had happened. November 19th still no feedback. November 25th I posted an open question on their FB page. November 27th got an email, they said again that they were gonna look into what had happened. Since then I have asked twice againg without answer. It is now december 9th.
They have in the past always been quick and welcoming. Their minis are some of the best out there. But now, my confidence in them is shattered.
Communication just isn't there
On a positive, I love the miniatures there always of a high quality.
What really puts me off is their communication or lack of it. I just think they could be more open about delays and issues. I just want to know if my orders been dispatched or not I don't mind delays as long as I'm kept in the loop and updated regarding my order. I feel that going quiet after readily accepting payment shows a real lack of respect for customers. I see many posts talking about patience, again this is fine, I would just like to be informed.
I'm currently waiting on an order that's getting close to a month, I've sent several emails which have been ignored. It's just such disappointing customer service for what is otherwise a great company 🤷🏼
The Straw That Broke This Camel's Back
Once more I've encountered a ridiculous and unacceptable delay in shipping (two months at the point I cancelled) and absolutely no communication response to any of their three published email addresses or the site contact form.
I had previously been a big fan and strong supporter of Hasslefree, despite having previously needed to cancel an order and request refund through Paypal after no delivery and no communication (sound familiar?).
I thought that they had resolved their problems and so ordered again but, after two months and with no response to any email sent to any of their three published email addresses (and the 'Contact Us' form on the website), I have once more had to request a refund and cancellation through Paypal.
I've seen all the usual excuses in the past (illness, busy/backlog, plague of locusts, dog ate the homework) and I sympathise, but a reputable company that wants to continue in business should sort out their communication at the very least. Businesses do not survive if they cannot ship out the goods they produce within a reasonable timeframe, and people will not buy from them if they receive no communication, no matter how nice those toys are.
So, no more orders from me and I have removed the advert/link that I put up on my website over ten years ago. Given the circumstances I cannot recommend the company any more.
From a former loyal and enthusiastic customer; this last incident was the final straw for me - goodbye Hasslefree.
