If I could rate lower I would
If I could rate lower I would. Yesterday I received correspondence from DCBL bailiffs advising of an unpaid parking fine demanding £170.
I car park in question is for my local puregym which I use regularly. It is part of my regular routine to submit my registration, however on this occasion I must have forgot.
I called DCBL and they advised the company has tried to contact me on three occasions… I have not received one piece of correspondence until the bailiffs letter.
There are clear signs in puregym that if you obtain a fine, you are to contact assistance and they will resolve with highview parking, so why would I ignore any correspondence?
I have tried to call highview parking but you are not able to deal with them over the phone (shock), they advise to write to them and they will respond within 28 days, well I have now only 5 days to resolve this issue until the a CCJ is put against my name… that’s helpful
Avoid Highview Parking Ltd areas at all cost
On the 19th of April 2026 I visited Banbury Gateway Shopping Park with my wife. Lovely day, shopping, coffe break and more shopping. No ticket on the car, no communication of any kind, phone call, text nor email for two months. Until, I received a letter from Direct Collection Bailiffs Ltd for collection of a 170£ fine from that day, as I parked for more than 4 hours. No communication at all and get notified only when you are no longer able to appeal to pay what is considered a correctly issued unpaid parking charge. I will try never to visit again any site where their parking is controlled by this company. It is the least I can do.
Argos car park
Argos car park, Leicester city center
I parked and paid and displayed my ticket on 3/4/25 at 13.16pm and left 9 minutes late (my confession). Shockingly I received a £170.00 parking demand on the 15/05/25 with the WRONG DATE 4/4/25, WRONG TIME 16.52P!!! On 4/4/25 I was evidently on a LONG DAYshift on an NHS ward!!!I have tried to appeal via postal address on their paperwork but apparently they ever received my appeal..now their DBCL debt collector have sent me threats of CCJ etc. Numerous calls all end up on deaf trained ears who listen to my evident story but end up stating that the best they can do is give me a chance to pay the wrongly dated and timed parking charge in instalments. Parking companies are scamming inno ent drivers with the full blessings of the courts who recently gave them the right to issue tickets as they deemed right. Poor british motorists. I have let every one who has received my calls at the DBCL debt collecting office, that they are all SCAMMERS WHO WIILL HOPEFULLY ROT IN HELL. Meantime Highview parking has no telephone contact to avoid telephonic appeals. I wonder if those behind this business are any happy in life. The one star review was because no ZERO rating is available.
Its never been so painful to click that…
Its never been so painful to click that 1 star button ! dropped off my partner at puregym almost twice a week they got my plate on the way in but not out. just stay to drop off but produced another plate of me leaving three days later claiming I had parked for three days ! I phoned and explained but they ignored it and sent a CCJ as they are the only people with the proper evidence I lost and have a CCJ now against me and it cost me £285 .Simply put they are using the civil courts to scam you out of your hard earned wages I was also made redundant three days before so couldn't afford the fine..
Scammers
Scammers, charges to pay online, charged to pay by phone, charged to pay by cheque. Making money out of sick people in hospital is absolutely disgusting and absurd. The person running this criminal company should be ashamed of themselves disgusting.
This Company has no intention of using…
This Company has no intention of using their an appeal system to help genuine cases with a severely disabled adult in a highly stressful situation. A place I often visit and this one occasion needed help. A Litigation Company would be needed to round up a mass of genuine cases like myself to expose this Company appeal system as being non existent and non compliant to the Human Discrimination Act
Criminal activity
This fraudulent company sends notices out late so that the 14 day period to pay the lower tier amount has already expired.
They sent me a notice dated 02/01/25 which did not arrive until after the 16/01/25.
Nothing but a criminal set-up.
Highview car park at Kingsway Derby was…
Highview car park at Kingsway Derby was fully blocked up for a few hours on our last trip there, it took the best park of 2 hours to get out the car park, absolute disgrace!
I have been fined by Highview parking…
I have been fined by Highview parking for dropping my partner off at her place of work at the hospital. They are an absolute joke. The photos are of my car moving and no photographic evidence of my car parked. I have been dropping my partner who is a nurse at Halton hospital off for the last 12 months at the same time day and night. They photographed me entering and leaving and stated I had parked my car overnight. Who regulates these people? My partner has no other way to get to work other than me taking her there and dropping her off which over the last 12months has been always within the 30 minutes free slot.
Total SCAM
Total SCAM! They claim that driving a moving vehicle is 'Parking'!! How can you be PARKED when the vehicle is moving?! Unclear signs, designed to confuse, incorrect information designed to mislead! somehow this is considered as legal! completely lacking morals and common sense! Appealing to POPLA is a complete farce and will cost you an additional £35! Absolute JOKE - these people should be properly regulated!
These people are scammers
These people are scammers. I pulled of the main road to take a phone call on a car park road but was not parked up and they want £170, for what.
They are scum and rob disabled people.
something needs to be done about these scammers
Is this a genuine company?
Decided to pay immediately as Highview Parking claimed we had parked 12 minutes over the 3 hour limit (although we must have spent over 12 minutes finding a space and queueing to exit!).
Tried telephone but told PCN was invalid - we checked and double checked and after about 10 attempts gave up and tried online. After several attempts on laptop and then tablet still told numbers did not match. All telephone attempts to find clarification and ended in repetitive recorded message. Is this a genuine company? If so they seem to be deliberately deterring settling payment. Advice: avoid shopping in any area where Highviewparking control the car park.
DisabledEmployeeFined@Waterfields
I work in the one of the stores in Waterfields Retail Park. The manager of the store has assured me that each time I am able to work for longer than two hours she emails Highview with my car numberplate so they can ensure they don't fine me. (I have a neurological disability which affects my ability to balance and causes additional fatigue and as such have a Blue Badge for parking.) I have been sent unnecessary PCN's a number of times over the last several months and I'm beginning to feel discriminated against for being a disabled woman who just wants to work like everyone else can. Highview eventually responded to my appeal through their website answering with a brief email that the Charge would be cancelled in full and no further action would be taken. No apology for distress caused. No offer to investigate as to why this keeps happening. No explanation that they're going to review their policy to prevent this repeating. Thankfully, I've not had to pay any fines but they do seem to like wasting their own money in sending me nasty PCN letters and wasting my time in having to sort them out.
Absolutely a fjoke
Absolutely a f. joke
Everyone that you can nearly speak to is rude then tell you to Appeal on line you appeal on line then they say pay anyway scam how do they get away with this
I was parked at Waterfields retail car Park, rejected appeal due to a Medical Reson.
I was parked at Waterfields retail car park for 17 minutes extra. The reason for the overstay is that I had a nosebleed and was not able to return to my car on time. I appealed to POPLA which still got rejected based on a medical reason. I am not sure under what circumstance they would accept my appeal if I fainted or I had a heart attack? After this I wrote to Highview asking them if I could pay the reduced fee of £51 they are now saying as you went over the 14 days you need to pay an increased fee of £155? The reason I went over 14 days was I was appealing my case. This is disgusting.
Robbing B"s
Shame you have to leave any stars in order to write a review....poor or no signage in apparently no parking area...will never go to Borehamwood again...won't be getting any more of my money £50 for 12mins!!!!!!! How do you sleep at night. Admin fee £1.50 what did you do to earn that....This is making someone very rich judging by these reviews....shame on you 😡😡😡
Number plate recognition faulty
Number plate recognition faulty. Anyone else been charged for over-staying because the number plate recognition did not record the car leaving the car park and then arriving the next day. I have wrongly been charged for parking overnight. Very difficult to prove I was not there - how do you prove a negative?
Atrocious company. Scammers
This company is part of Nexus group which now owns several private parking companies, all of which are as bad as one another.
Their approach seems to be that they issue penalty charge notices but neglect to send any of the required correspondence to notify you of this, so in fact the first letter(s) received are from a debt collector. This is scandalous and a tactic which another reviewer has had the misfortune of encountering and I know several others who this has happened to. The main group company Nexus, and all the subsidiaries, make it impossible to contact and speak with anyone, so it's impossible to report the issue that no letters have been received and therefore no opportunity to pay a reduced penalty charge notice. It seems a very intentional scam and money spinner.
I made a mistake in being parked for 4
I made a mistake in being parked for 4, yes 4 minutes over the 3hr maximum time. All because I had to change my baby granddaughter’s nappy following her nap.
I appealed against the £60 fine, which equates to £15 per minute that I was over. So accepting that they weren’t going to allow me any leeway, I paid the fine.
I have proof in the form of bank statements, which I have provided. However Highview Parking have now referred me to DebI ( debt collector company), who are claiming that I owe them £170!!!!! This debt collection company have told me that their client claims that I paid for a previous parking fine, not this one.
It would be nice if they all acted with integrity and actually read their correspondence.
Thieves
Thieves. Parked at PureGym Reading which is supposed to be free and now I gotta pay them £50.
