A woman came round and said has I had a old boiler I would qualify for a free government grant boiler then she offered me £50 pounds if I would get other people who had a old boiler to sign up with her. She then passed me on to smartsense Birmingham. Please do not use this company they have destroyed my property. They came round to a look and l told them I had old pipes but they said it was fine so l went ahead big mistake. They have caused leaks from the radiators leaks under the kitchen pipes l have had to replace the bathroom and kitchen tapes and pipework l had a flooded toilet and had to have the bathroom ripped apart to dry it up from all the leaks I went to the citizens advice bureau and they tried to contact them but they won't respond to me all them they just take the thousands of pounds from the government and leave you in a mess .we contacted trading standards and because you got it free you have no rights and the company know this I'm still going after this company for compensation and will take them to the small claims court. Please before you let's this company in to your house look on the reviews of this company on trustpilot smartsense Birmingham I'm not the only one they have caused up most distressed to and left people with damaged properties and no money to put it right.

I have just had a new boiler installed and I am very happy with the end result. There was a delay from survey to installation, but this was explained to me by Kunal Sachdev as purely work distribution and my boiler would definitely be installed. Kunal kept me very well informed at all times and was always available if I had a query. Thank you very much, I would be more than happy to recommend this service.

I have had this company to install cavity wall insulation under a government grant scheme. The surveyor turned up on time and explained everything to me. The appointment was booked for the installation and again the team turned up a little early. They were efficient and professional. The places where they had to drill have been filled and I find it hard to see where they were. They cleaned up after themselves and were respectful of my property.

Danny (our intueco rep) was amazing. I was doubtful if we would get a free boiler but we qualified and got one. We had a couple of surveyors out and finally got a date for installation. I had to rearrange out installation date due to work commitments and couldn't get through to the installers. I reached out to Danny and he managed to sort it out for me. The contactors that intueco gave our boiler contract too where rude and difficult to get answers from. We had questions which we wanted to clarify before hand. In the end the boiler got installed and we are happy with the boiler. Thanks to Danny for arranging it all for us !

Fair play to IntuEco, didn’t really believe in it but they did a brilliant job. Shoutout to Ben to came round a couple of months ago and told us how to get it done

Danny came to my house and explained the process of having a new combi boiler fitted he was very friendly and informative with regards to the full process( and if your boiler is old this could be free of charge👍) I have had a back boiler for 30 years didn't want to change however i am so glad I did there was hardly any mess the hot water is immediate and the bills are a lot lower so I would definitely recommend 100% going forward with a new boiler. Thank you Danny for the good advice 👍 ☺️

From start to finish Kunal and the IntuECO team have been brilliant! Kunal knocked on our door and stated we were eligible for free loft insulation and we went ahead with the installation, which was done swiftly and to the highest standard. Kunal communicated with me every step of the way from booking a survey, to making sure the installation was done properly. Would recommend this company to anybody who is eligible for their services! Massive thankyou to all!

I’ll start by advising that no work has been performed by this company in my family members property - so I cannot comment on the quality of work personally.
I found out that an elderly member of my family had been cold called (on the doorstep) by this business and advised they were eligible for a free boiler on the government scheme - they were advised it was limited and needed to get signed up quickly. It was also insinuated they were acting in partnership with the local council. So the family member signed some paperwork and setup a next meeting.
As you can imagine, my alarm bells were ringing at this. More concerned about the potentially “doorstep pressure selling” than anything else - this is not a practice that I take kindly to at all. I promptly did some digging on the company details
From a concerns perspective, some of my findings are below:
* Company was a little over 3 years old, so quite young really and had already rebranded for some reason. I can’t say why, but it’s a red flag for me personally - this information can be seen on companies house records.
* Website claimed they have helped thousands of happy customers yet I couldn’t find any impartial evidence of these many happy customers in online reviews - which in the world we live in seemed very odd.
In fact, my checks on here at the time (2 days ago) showed many unhappy customers - at the time 50% of the reviews were 1*, some very recent and very concerning to read.
In addition, I did find a Facebook page with 0 positive reviews and could not find any google review presence.
Personally, if I ran a small business delivering an outstanding service experience
to thousands of happy customers - I’d expect to be able to independently point my new business prospects to honest and independent review board (just like this one) which gave customer references to support my claims.
* Website talked about the team having over 16 years experience but as we know the company has been running a little over 3. I appreciate this could be the experience combined, it could be based on previous experience - but as a statement it wasn’t clear and could be misleading for people reading it.
* Their website talks about “working with the very best, award winning installers” but as with the customer references, there is no further detail evidencing this - who the partners are or the awards they have won (not that I could see).
Clearly this is an admission the work is performed by their “partners” as apposed to their own engineering teams (some of the time at least) - therefore quality control is key and from the reviews I read there were valid concerns this was lacking.
* No evidence found or confirmation obtained that this company were acting in partnership with the district council - something which was insinuated.
This and some other points were enough red flags for me, so the “plug got pulled” on any further engagement with them and any progression cancelled.
Despite being clearly advised this, the family member then had another unrequested and unwanted doorstep “visit” asking why they had cancelled - further supporting / confirming my concerns about the unethical sales practise being performed by this organisation and/or their representatives.
I wanted to share my concerns here and flag this sales approach, as others may have vulnerable family members who have been approached.
As I said at the outset, I cannot comment on the work as a stop was put to this engagement with this organisation promptly, in my view, with very good reason - which has been shared above.
It’s your own call of course and I am not here looking to damage small or new businesses….but if you are going to make sweeping statements on your site which is in essence your shop window - make sure these can be backed up in a honest and transparent way.
More importantly, if you are going to adopt this sales approach, you deserve any negative reviews which are forthcoming like this one.
Be very, very cautious and careful ALL, is in essence the main message here!
There is government scheme and local authority or an energy supplier can assist you.
Ofgem (regulatory body) state:
“You may wish to contact your LA for more information, or to find out if you meet the eligible criteria.
Note that meeting the eligibility for an ECO4 measure will not guarantee that it will be installed. It is up to the energy companies to determine which retrofit projects they choose to fund, the level of funding they provide and the Retrofit Coordinator and installers they choose to work with. We encourage that you speak to your energy supplier, should you have any queries about your eligibility and the retrofit process for the delivery of measures under ECO4”

My parents arranged for a consultation for a new boiler and insulation. Representative Jack arrived and was extremely comprehensive in retrieving all the necessary documents to check eligibility for their grant for a boiler. 2 weeks later a heating surveyor came to asses room sizes and how to improve the energy grade on their property. 4 weeks later a new condescending boiler was fitted exactly where my parents wanted it fitting. They couldn’t be happier with the service and quality that they received. First class service ALL around and would definitely recommend.

Kunal and his team were a pleasure to have around. Their service replacing our boiler etc was nothing less than five star.
Thank you Kunal

The representative that came to see me Kunal was very professional and called on regular basis to ensure I had my appointments and the consultants attended as they were meant to. I had the loft installation done and work men were very good done the work within a couple of hours. Showed me what they done with photos and what they fitted. Explaining everything and cleaned up when they left. A week or so later Kunal called again to ensure the works had been completed too. So all in all very good service and excellent experience I had

Initial visit by representative, visit by surveyor/property inspector all fine. I was told immediately that I qualified for a boiler and central heating system under the government scheme. The work began within 2/3 weeks. My chief complaint was with the installers themselves: I couldn't have the boiler where I wanted it (it is now an eyesore in the kitchen), I couldn't have the new radiators in the same place as the old ones (the whole house has now to be re-decorated). However, the system is now up and running and working efficiently.

Do not use this company.we applied for the boiler in February and have just been informed we’re not getting one. The customer service is non existent. It’s a miracle if you get to speak to anyone it goes straight to answer phone and they never ring back. We have been waiting 5 months for a boiler with no heating as ours had broken. We were assured we qualified for a boiler. They have now told us our house is energy efficient because we have got sufficient loft insulation and cavity wall insulation so can’t have a boiler even though the boiler isn’t working. If they can’t make money on your insulation you won’t get a boiler. This is a scam.

Absolute shower. Had the initial appointment with Lucy who was pleasant and then I sent my documents in to qualify for the Government replacement boiler scheme. No reply. I contacted them to see why they hadn't been in touch and they said they felt I didn't qualify. Nice of them to let me know. I gave explanations for the reasons as to why they thought I didn't qualify and sent in further documents. Again, no reply.
Was canvassed by a rival firm while this was going on, who took the same documents and authorised and fitted a new boiler within a month. I was offered a Worcester Bosch boiler by the rival firm and my request to swap for a Baxi Platinum was accepted, both of which are far superior to the one I would have ended up with through Intueco. So judging by the other reviews, I think I've done well to not have them proceed with my application. Avoid.

Two guys kept on knocking on my door and when there was no answer they came back to knock, this time I answered and told them why are you banging on my door and told them to pi** off! They guy replied "it's company policy to go back to the address that did not answer" (with a sneaky smirk), that's when I lost it and told them do not harass people! And he walked off!
Cowboy company for sure!
