The staff at Pentland Elgin were excellent but I had a big problem getting the car I ordered. Jaguar Landrover decided in their wisdom not to make the car I ordered and paid a deposit for. Many telephone conversations were had and I finally got the car I originally ordered.

The appointment had been arranged some weeks prior, which was most helpful for my own agenda. The reason for the visit was to have the vehicle upgraded as per letter from Land Rover. I received a very good and warm welcome and made comfortable while the upgrade was carried out, Unfortunately the courtesy car wash could not be done due to the weather being very cold!! However a request to check the tyre pressures was done, which was much appreciated.

10 minute fix on an alternator belt turns into 2 week saga
The issue with my car was an alternator belt, which was confirmed by Landrover Assistance, however the mechanic who came out couldn't fix it due to him not being 'a Landrover technician ', I then dropped the car off at the dealership to be told they didn't have a courtesy car (in the end I organised myself through Landrover Assistance) I was then informed my car would have to be taken on a flatbed truck to Edinburgh (3 hours drive away) as they don't do 'emergency repairs'.
I then had a 14 day wait until I contacted the dealership to fund out progress, only to be told they hadn't looked at the car yet but the repair would be done locally once a job card was issued.
I received the car 2 days later without an apology for the length of time it had been with them.
This is not the level of customer service you expect from a 'premium brand'

Booking in my car for M.O.T
Booking in my car for M.O.T. was easy receptionist at door so nice and friendly and booking in girls. When I returned to pick up the car which wasn't quite ready. Receptionist made me a nice cup of coffee and made me very welcome, I was kept informed re work on car health check done and explained. Car returned all cleaned and in order a very good experience

Attention to detail
Requested wheel balance. Balance was carried out but grey coloured weight used on black wheel.
Not what I expected from a premium brand.
Every Landrover/Range Rover is the showroom had black wheels. Surely the workshop was black weights for these wheels?
