Our friendly and experienced rental team are based at our Ransomes Europark dealership and can offer a wide range of the latest Ford cars, people carriers, vans & minibuses for short or long term hire. I borrowed a car from John Grose for 48 hours. I think the stand out thing about this dealership is just how they treat you as a person. They are really lovely caring people and I would not hesitate to recommend them. The vehicle that I was loaned was spotless and very good too.

Friendly staff but old fashioned…
Friendly staff but very old fashioned customer service proceedures which could be improved with a more flexibly trained workforce.
1. A long wait on a Saturday morning when collecting a hire vehicle when plenty of sales staff loitering around not looking particularly busy could assist the hire staff signing out vehicles.
2. A weathered tyre with a severely cracked tyre wall which had to be pointed out to staff.
3. When returning a vehicle on a Sunday morning the customer is held responsible for the vehicle until hire staff return to work on Monday even though other staff are working Sunday who could easily be trained on how to check for damage on the vehicle.

We’re sorry you were kept waiting on Saturday morning; we do operate an appointment system for vehicle collections, but sometimes customers unavoidably arrive early or late which can have a knock-on effect. We note your concern regarding the cracked tyre; vehicles are checked prior to each hire and we can confirm the weathering you noticed was purely cosmetic and posed no safety risk. We accept the Sunday vehicle return is compromised due to the Rental department being closed, but customer feedback is generally that they prefer this option rather than only being able to return on a Monday morning. Whilst there are staff from other departments in the dealership on a Sunday, we can’t guarantee their availability for rental returns. Thanks once again for getting in touch.

Courteous and polite members of staff…
Courteous and polite members of staff and the van was very clean. No complaints on the service side, however if you return the vehicle on a Sunday as I had to as part of the rental agreement, I was very uncomfortable to find I was liable for the vehicle until Monday morning until it was checked in. This policy is wrong as I have no choice in when I return it.

Great, reasonable priced service received from John Grose (who didn't immediately spring to mind for van rental). Thumbs up for the NHS discount and for being one of the only places in the area with a van big enough for our move at short notice just before the stamp duty deadline. Thank you! :)

Rude staff
Rude staff, 45 min wait to hand van over, van had "17" bits of damage but you could only physically see 2. Wouldn't use these to rent a van. Inside they had used a dash cleaner over floor and pedals. Very slippery and dangerous again the lovely staff member didn't wanna comment. Shirley - was good at her job. The other was awful

So i lost my 250 deposit not that ive been told that as ive never been contacted back as promised. So check the veichle urself wpuld be my advise and take lots of pics to so incase u miss something thats there.
