Kleenheat. Dont bother.

I have been a customer with Kleenheat for over 5 years. With no complaints up to now. Suddenly, this month my account tells me that Kleeheat is doubling my monthy payment. Yes, Double. No prior warning or customer communication. Just printed on my account as advise. My phone call was met with a "too bad. So sad", attitude and advice that I could consider another provider if I am not happy with the sevice provided by Kleenheat. And, I have. They are now in my worst company category.

Worst conpany

Worst conpany, yes they conned me with my gas supply. They broke into my front gate without my permission without any notification and interfered with my gas Meter. Claiming that the meter needed upgrading or some BS. That stopped my supply to the stove. So they told me I need to upgrade to a Newer Stove or have this upgraded. I was not happy and I did not do it. Did you know that you can't even lodge a Complaint to Consumer Protection! The result was, I could not use my gas stove. Up till today I am having to use a Camp Stove with portable gas cans. I already complained a dozen times about the losers they send for meter reading. They are all on drugs and don't have the decency to shut the Meter Door! Can anyone recommend a better Company or Kleenheat also got monopoly like western power? The Chinese get a cheaper deal than us!

Hi Ahmed. I refer you to our previous correspondence. Your gas is connected. If your cooktop isn’t working your appliance is faulty or broken. It will require repair or replacement. As the owner of the home, you are responsible for repairing and updating your appliances.

Pathetic company

Sent me a bill with usage charges whilst my property was under construction.

Said there's nothing we can do, it must be the tradesmen, you are responsible

Very disappointed

Very disappointed – poor customer service and hidden fees

I had a very negative experience with this company. They charged an excessive amount in fees, and when I tried to raise the issue, their customer service was rude and unhelpful. They claimed they had tried to contact us, but we never received any letters or communication. It felt dishonest and dismissive. I would not recommend them – avoid this company if you don’t want to be hit with unexpected, exorbitant charges.

Used for years now as my gas provider

Used for years now as my gas provider. Very happy with their pricing, payment options and customer support. Unfortunately I've never been able to login to the account portal, and support have been unable to fix it, but updating any details over the phone is always easy!

Kleenheat Charges for Zero Usage

Kleenheat has charged my account ongoing for several years for zero usage of gas. The account was sold to me when I was closing an account for a different address, by the representative on the phone who was helping to close the account. They told me it was probably a good idea to set up an account for the new address, even though I had not moved in yet because then I wouldn't be without supply. Come to find out the address never needed gas, the meter hadn't been running for years, but Kleenheat still charged the account and won't refund any fees.

Never seen a company make so many errors, at the customers expense

I've been with them since 2016. About one year after moving in, I noticed my bills had gone a lot higher than previous (one person living here) - when I looked into it further, I discovered that I was paying for my neighbours gas, and my account had been deactivated. It took me a while to sort it out, with people on the other end very polite, but they don't seem to know what they're doing. Fast forward another few years and I get a letter in the mail telling me that I'm apparently moving house, and that my gas will be disconnected as of xyz date. I thought, they've obviously got the wrong house and ignored it. Then another month later I get another letter in the mail plus an email, telling me my gas has been disconnected (it hadn't because I was living in my house and using the gas daily). I went online to my account and was able to sign in, but it told me my gas had been disconnected. Long story short, it took me about 2 and a half months to get them to sort it out (they ended up blaming it on ATCO telling me that when they come around and do the meter readings, they often mix up the units). So I labelled my meter box, both on the outside and the inside clearing marking which unit I was. So far so good, then today, I get an email reminder to pay....for my neighbours gas bill! The best part was that in the email, they had my neighbours address. I've gone back to them and told them that they've got the wrong household now I'm certain they're going to stuff this one up. If we had more competition here in WA, I would not choose Kleenheat. I go with them for the price but in the long run, it has cost me in paying for my neighbours bills!

Worst gas compmay ever

Worst gas compmay ever. They have repeatedly taken my money and never supply us with the gas. Do not support this company. They are qyick to take your money and slow, or never deliver your gas

Charged for using NO gas

As a pensioner I had to turn my gas off 2years ago & settled my account. Currently my bill is $242 - despite zero gas used. Complete & utter joke

I am not a kleenheat customer

I am not a kleenheat customer. suddenly i have received letters of notice that my gas service will be cut off. I am an Alinta customer. Threats of debt collectors and such are not welcomed by a non customer.

Have been a long term customer for many…

Have been a long term customer for many years without much issue. We moved house and our final bill was nearly $1000. There was a leak at the property. Kleenheat did nothing but say we have to pay and argue with the real estate. When I advised that this was so different to other providers when they can see that there is a leak they offer a discount from the bill, she ignored me and continued to speak about us getting a payment plan. DISGUSTING

I had a leak and Atco came to repair…

I had a leak and Atco came to repair it. Then Water Corp advised my water bill was all of a sudden very high. I got plumber out to fix broken hot water pipe. Then got the gas bill which is $1,194 instead of around $80. They will not look at reducing the bill even though I had no idea of the problem until water corp advised me. Anyone had any success with this sort of thing

I m here to share my experience with…

I m here to share my experience with kleenheat is that they said to me my bill should be between $50 to $55 and it’s because of 38% discount but from last three months they charging me $73 every month and when I spoke to their representative and she said to me I m using more gas but how it’s possible coz we are only two family members with one child and I m using the same gas I was three months ago. It’s really hard to deal with them .....

Your monthly instalments are calculated by estimating your next invoice amount based on your previous actual meter readings, as well as recovering any account balance you may have if the estimate is too low in the previous quarter. We're always happy to run you through how your instalment amount was calculated if you aren't sure. Also despite using the same appliances three months ago, because the weather is now colder your appliances will have to work harder resulting in more gas usage - So even though there hasn't been any change in your habits, your invoice may go up in winter. Not impressed

Not impressed. Received a late notice for a bill I knew nothing about, with a late fee... No information on what the reason was for the bill and no reply on querying. We always like to pay upfront, when we know we owe money. Paid the bill anyway, along with the fine... thanks for that... and today have a threatening email and further fine! We are thinking of changing companies... again. Had nothing but trouble last time we got our bottles through kleenheat!

They are sending me the bill also and for same the direct debit from my account so now I m paying kind of double and never get any discount

We do send you an invoice even if you are on direct debit to let you know how much we will direct debit and what the charges are for. However if you have a direct debit set up on your account you should not need to pay manually unless a direct debit has failed. Very very rude I have seven children…

Very very rude I have seven children and on Centrelink with no gas and they will not connect it until I pay them $500 will not let me pay it off disgusting I do not recommend kleenheat

If i could give no stars i would.
Was told would receive discount on accounts paid on or before due date if switched to kleenheat gas.
Received no such rebate and staff were rude and uncommunicable when asked about this.

Worst company to deal with

Worst company to deal with, don't get details right and then end up with a big bill. Won't be signing up with these guys ever again as there are alot better choices.
Tried to call and discuss previously but they wouldn't let me know any info as bill is in husbands name. Awful stay far away.

We did call and were told there was nothing you could do.

I switched to Kleenheat two years ago

I switched to Kleenheat two years ago. Actually I thought I did. I called them in April and they said I wasn't with them anymore.

Two weeks ago they sent me a bill of equal to 2 years. The bill did not have any of the $50 credit and 10 per cent discount or anything.
When I called them to inquire about it they said we will investigate it. Meanwhile I received overdue notice with extra amount on it.

9 days later I called again after a long frustrating wait like the first call they said they will investigate it.

She tried to brush me off by saying the person looking after your account is not here.

I said. So the whole corporation relies on individuals. What if that person died or sacked so I'm stuffed.

I insisted and talked to a team leader who said we will waive the bill for you and generate new bill for the future usage.

2 minutes later she said can you pay your gas usage adding to my shock. I said. I thought you said you waived. She said. Yes but I'm recorrecting myself making my frustration even worse.

They are such a big stuff up. Do NOT switch to Kleenheat. I'm going back to Alinta gas.

Oh by the way they are still investigating my account. Very very poor .
