Totally hopeless, I have repair or replace t.v insurance and after nearly 3 weeks I have neither. I have made countless phone calls and have achieved nothing. I don’t think anyone there cares. Maybe the insurance ombudsman might get some sense out of them. The service is dreadful.

This does not even warrant 1 star. Diabolical service. Ordered chest freezer 3weeks ago. Given date & time for delivery. Never turned up!!
Took me from 8am to 3.30pm to get hold of someone next day. Excuse was they ran out of delivery hours! Nobody bothered to ring me but said could not deliver for another week- Christmas Eve! Because of this I was unable to make it to my Grandchildren’s school Carol concert and unable to say goodbye to them before they left to spend Christmas with family in the US. This has been a horrible experience and I wouldn’t touch this company again with a barge pole!

Following up from my last review.
Once again, after my laptop came back from 3rd repair( as everytime it came back, there was a new fault detected, last one being with the touchpad being disabled completely), there was a new fault. A strange cranky sound coming from the extractor which was never there before. The sound is so loud and constant that everyone can hear it even in a crowded place.
I am really frustrated and shocked to see such customer service as everytime I send my laptop, they break something else in order to fix the existing issue. I am really scared to send it again. I raised this issue to their team after Ryan replied back in this forum, and till date repeating my issue to multiple advisers as they have opened multiple case references of the same issue, thus showing lack of coordination and team work in the department.
In today's day and age, can't believe this is a paid service. Absolutely shocking customer service.
Regards
Sumit

Paid £60 to have know how check out a water damaged laptop. It was less than a month old. They told me it needed various parts and the cost to repair it was just short of the purchase price of approx £450. Told them just to return it as I would have been as well buying another new one. Before writing it off I took it to the gadget doctor. It was fixed within 48hours for £40!

Having had a few laptops covered by a service plan over 10 years i can honestly say that i have nothing but praise for the service i have received and the repairs that have been carried out, sometimes things happen beyond anyones control ie waiting for parts etc and this is to be expected, considering the large volumes of repairs carried out by the service centre and they always kept me updated if parts had to be ordered which is excellent customer service.

Purchased a new TV and paid £45 for for set up and demo as my wife was at home with the two kids, the men tried to just leave the TV in the box and leave, when challenged they got the TV out of the box, they did no set up or demo as when I got home from work the controller was still in the wrapper with no batteries, my wife had mentioned to the men that we had sky being installed later, they just walked out of the property telling my wife sky can set the TV up for you

Don't waste your money. Absolutely hopeless Freezer has stopped working 9 days before Christmas no one coming out until Thursday unlikely it is repairable so will be given a voucher to replace it. The voucher will take a further 3 days if its unfixable that takes us to 2 days before Christmas Curry's not likely to deliver a freezer in time for Christmas. Will be shopping at John Lewis from now on. Bah humbug Curry's

Terrible company. Purchased a washing machine, paid for instal and recycle of the old machine. Due to be delivered, installed and recycled on Sunday 8th Dec. They arrived and said due to being short staffed they could only deliver and someone would be in touch. After 2 days with no contact I called them and after being on hold for 35 minutes eventually arranged for the instal and recycle to take place on Wed 11th, when they arrived they said my fittings weren't suitable and they couldn't fit it, cue another 40 minutes on hold to be told that in order to get my money back I'd have to return to the store. My plumber came out and fitted it in 10 minutes, he has said that he has visited countless numebrs of people who have experienced tha same problems with this company. The recycle still hasn't been arranged despite my payment. I would avoid using this company at all costs. An absolute disgrace

Bought a Toshiba Tv 8 weeks ago and just stopped working. Took it back to the shop and Currys demanded that it must be be send for repair and replacement was not an option because it is over 30 days since we purchase it. I will be taking it to trading standards and will put official complaint to Currys as the tv is less than 6 months old and it was obviously sold with defects and not fit for purpose. One star with a push , waste of time and money

Wish I could give them lower than a 1 star. I have had a tv for 3 months and it suffers with Backlight bleed. I sent it in for repair, the delivery driver picked the tv up and took it for repair. I rang today and they stated there is no fault and it fell into specification, even though they noticed shadows on the tv. I sent the TV in Brand new condition and they stated it had wear and tear which clearly meant they damaged it in delivery. The people I have spoken to on the phone have been really unhelpful and I am fed up of speaking to them. I will take it further and will seek advise.

The one star I have given is being generous. Purchased a fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob etc, delivery of the fridge was a nightmare drivers cannot be bothered and try to wriggle out of doing there job even though I paid for the install service. As soon as the driver left display went off 45 minutes on hold to knowhow and had to push for a replacement product even though product was couple of hours old. Today driver turned up to deliver new fridge and as soon as I opened the door I knew he was not to keen on this simple delivery his response was i can't do that speak to customer service and he was off like a rocket. Another 35 minutes on hold then got a rude lady who said i cannot do anything try option blah blah. At last got a guy with some sense and got a refund. MORAL OF THE STORY AVOID THIS COWBOY OUTFIT AT ALL COSTS AND USE THEM AT YOUR OWN PERIL. KNOW HOW SOULD EMPLOY PEOPLE THAT WANT TO ACTUALLY DO THERE JOB AND NOT JUST TAKE CUSTOMERS MONEY AND CAUSE THEM STRESS AND TROUBLE.

As I have power of attorney of my mother here is her and my question.
Her fridge/freezer ceased working, engineer called our and found a screw that was loose. My mother later said it still wasn't working. a week later they retuned and said that she needed a new replacement.
they then asked her to go to nearest Currys and choose a new one.
She did this. Currys said that she will be charged £90 for delivery and take away the old one.
I feel that the £90 is unfair. it was your machine that went wrong so why does the customer get charged that? The know-how insurance should cover the charge

Had a "peace of mind" policy for fridge freezer. Told today would have to wait 4 days for an engineer. So what is the point of this contract if you end up, either having to call someone else out or purchase a replacement if you don't want hundreds of pound of food to go to waste. Have asked for their SLA as it feels like a mis-selling.

Trying to renew my plan online for last 2 weeks apparently doing repairs on online system?.If it takes this long to update online renewal system don't think I renew my plan as how long will it take to repair my appliance if it breakdowns

After 4 visits in 2 weeks from companies engineer to fix the same problem with my washer machine, I have been left again with a faulty appliance today. I have contacted the service department and been told the next available appointment for an engineer is in 7 days. This will have left me without a washer machine for over 3 weeks and had to take so far 4 days off work to wait in for a engineer.
I have asked for the complaints procedure only to be told that a note would be logged to my account to say that I am not happy with the service. I wasn't given the ability to record any details of my complaint or how my complaint would be delt with.

Crap service. My daughter damaged the screen on my tv that I had paid £150 extra for insurance for 5 years. When I sent the tv for the 3rd time I was told this was neglected . At the time of purchase they sell the policy saying that it’s unlimited repair. Extremely rubbish service. No screen was smashed just internal damage that eventually spread across the screen. Money making company please steer clear. Now that’s a £600 tv plus £150 that has gone to waste.

Bought washing machine, paid for delivery, specifically told them not to use a large lorry as it won't get near the house. Come delivery day we get a phone call 'sorry mate our wagon is too big we can't get near your house'.
So we await delivery today, between 1050 and 1450. It is now 1725, so far we were told at 1540 they would.ve with us at 1510(!!). The online tracker shows it as being over an hour away on job 23 (we are 24), but they were on job 23 at 1540. Its now pitch black and there are 30 outside stairs to climb so I full expect (and sympthise with them if they do) them to refuse delivery. They can't get hold of the driver, but apparently they are sure he'll be no longer than 30 mins (exactly the same time the 'lack of' help desk closes.
Even better on the 20th we're awaiting a replacement fridge freezer, replacing tje one their expert techs managed to break installing. That should be fun.
Chexked the mobile track and now it says 'we need to catch up.with you about your order please ring us on our (now closed premium rate number).
Re the reply, it is not really the issues with the delivery, it is the complete and utter lack of any sort of communication. If I can get a text saying my new mobile phone is 30 mins away, you could at least tell.leople that your running late.

Knowhow are an utter shambles! NEVER take out any policy with them. They have zero customer service and do not stick to what states in their terms and conditions. There is no communication about anything unless you call then and wait 30 minutes to speak to someone that doesn't want to be doing their job. I can't say a good word and wonder why currys would associate with such a poor company.
