I have a knowhow insurance on my computer, it has go wrong 5 times, in their information booklet it states after a 3rd repair, so the 4th time it's sent for repair it will be written off, this has not been the case for me. I have been paying the monthly premium for almost 6 years @ ten pounds a month (600 pounds) paid to them. Please think about my situation before u buy anything from curry and especially it u buy the knowhow insurance, THEY LIE!!!!!!!!!!!

Had an integrated freezer delivered and had Team 'knowhow' install it.
They didn't bother to attach one of the freezer door brackets to my cupboard door so it was loose.
Plus they didn't bother to reattach my kickboard with the screws.
I even pointed out to the guy that there was a screw on the floor, so he just picked it up and put it in his pocket!
When you're paying £90 to have 'competent' people to fit and install then you put your trust in them and expect a top job. You shouldn't feel the need to have to check that they've done a good job.
Awful service.

My cooker door came off in my hand after cooking for 3 hour so you can imagine the heat ,I managed to put the door back on without any tools etc myself which I should not have been able to do .called for team knowhow and they sent a abrupt engineer out he stood in my kitchen for under 1 min and said your doors on it fine that's all I would have done .told him not happy with that result I will phone the knowhow team back which I did to get a abrupt woman on phone to say to me WELL what would you have wanted him to do the door is on so nothing he could have done .Now listen to what I'm saying (my reply was) the door should not gave came off on the first place and this is the second time it's happened to us,her reply well if it happens for a third time leave it off and our engineer will put it back on .I had to hang up was so angry .Is it just me or is this acceptable for this sort of thing to happen .

I ordered my item over the phone. I paid £45.00 for putting my tv unit together. Currys delivered the item. O ly to be told that someone would come to my address at 4pm. It's now 20.28. I phoned customer services who told me that there was three jobs to be done then I would be next.
Lies, lies lies. Even spoke to a Manager.
My next day of from work will be in February 2020. Due to working for the Ambulance Service. I want a FULL refund, I've waited in all day.
I do NOT recommend this services.
Very sad and Shame full.

Bought a Samsung TV for £1000 and the screen went faulty! still under warranty Knowhow took it away fo repair! Late Nov and brought it back middle of Dec! It was damaged in transit! Unrepairable they said they left me all over Xmas without a tv! In Jan they offered me a voucher for £500.00 as the TV that they had broke was not available anymore!! I gave them a chance(silly looking back) I had lost £500.00 in 8months.I decided to put the £500 voucher towards a LG oled. Price I paid was £3,800 included was a five year guarantee.within twelve months the TV developed screen burn.knowhow took the TV away for repair! It came back as good as new! Then another twelve months it developed the same problem! Knowhow took the TV away again! Then told me it can not be repaired! They then offered me a voucher a month later for the value of £1,700 can't buy the same spec TV for that!!! They make money by ripping customers off!! It's a scam! They have taken £2,600 from me in 3 years!! Stay away!!!!😠😠

1. When my tv was picked up the workmen put it outside on the floor. It had been raining all night and the floor was soaking wet and covered in puddles. They then placed the large bubble wrap on the wet floor too. Which got wet and they packaged the tv up with wet dirty bubble wrap.
No respect and it’s disgusting to think they treat your property like that.
My tv could not be fixed and they sent me out a brand new tv without my consent or acknowledgment. The delivery guys knocked my door but I wasn’t home. Here the joke the previous evening I had spoken to 3 people on the phone, who all told me different things. None of them could tell me that a tv was being dispatched.
I phoned and asked to speak to a manager the guy on the phone point blank refused to get a manager. Saying I can help you, it’s simple we have great systems. He then tells me that my old tv has been repaired. I said I received a text message saying it couldn’t. He says oh, hold on a minute, no actually it can’t. I asked to speak to a manager again because of all the incorrect information. He refused again, he was also supposed to call me back which he never. After this and all of the bad reviews I will not be renewing my insurance with them.

Sent my surface twice for repairs and received it back first time with a block on certain websites which never was an issue. 2nd time I've received it back with scratches and its not even worth keeping, crashing all the time. Disgusted with the service and the fact I've been paying monthly for 4 years and the service was horrible

Is there a lower score than 1 star???? Absolutely appalling company and service NEVER will I purchase anything else from Currys or take out the after care policy. I purchased a beko washer machine 2015 when it was delivered there was already a problem and required a new motherboard no problems getting it sorted. It breaks down again with another motherboard again no problem having it repaired. Fast forward 3 years and WOWZER..... In the last 4 weeks Ive had 5 engineers out, the washer has had a new drum, suspension legs, bushes, heater element and other stuff. Still the problem continues. Today the engineer suggested I put carpet in my kitchen to stop the machine having a party (dancing about) the banging it makes is deafening at times. It's been perfectly fine the last 3 years. I rang back this evening to speak to a colleague of your's who then proceeded to put the phone down on me because I asked to speak to someone else. Customer service = hellish
Waiting times on the phone=hellish
Attitude of staff=hellish
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

The picture on my tv wouldn’t come on very no and then when I switched it on so I phoned team knowhow, they took my tv away for repair and told me it would be back the week later, a week later no one had phoned me to tell me my tv was on its way so I phoned them and asked where my tv was, they told me they had smashed the screen tried to source one from elsewhere and couldn’t get one so there was a voucher at curry’s for a new tv, I asked why no one had phoned and told me but got some excuse. I went down to curry’s for them to give a £400 voucher, bare in mind that mine cost £750 when I bought, I asked why and they said it goes on the speck of the tv now not what you previously paid for the tv which I find ridiculous, when I bought my tv it was top speck, so I emailed a complaint stating that this wasn’t even my fault seems curry broke my tv and how much my tv was etc, I got an email back saying I’m sorry about your experience we will look into it and will be back to you within 5 days, 7 days later I phoned back as I had no response, I spoke to 1 person that put me on hold after telling her what happened, they put me through to another person that I had to tell the same story to, this happened 4 times, finally got through to someone for them to say nothing we can do and that’s it, I would not recommend anybody get insurance off curry it’s not worth the paper it is written on and the worst customer service I have ever had. Thanks a lot curry

Accidentally damaged my TV and was told to bring it into the store for it to be sent away to be repaired under the Knowhow Service Plan/Insurance. A week later the TV was returned but in a more damaged state than when it went away. Took it back to the store and again it was sent away to be repaired. This time i received a letter advising me that they will not repair as they believe the damage has been caused by misuse?!! The damage was caused whilst with Team Knowhow. The TV was returned back to me but this time all boxed up with protector cushions! This has been going on for 5 weeks now and the service received by the store and Team Knowhow has been totally shocking!
UPDATE.
I've now received an email response to my complaint. Nothing to acknowledge my issue but advising that i have to write a letter to their Claims Investigation Team. Contacting Team Knowhow by email only delayed the issue for a further week. Looking at a number of reviews on TP, it seems they have a fundamental issue with damaging customers products whilst in their care.
UPDATE 23/12/19
Wrote a letter (4th Dec) explaining the situation to their Claims Investigation team as requested by Team Knowhow. No response or acknowledgement received so rang them today for an update. Was informed that they had received my letter but they had a backlog and were currently working on complaints dated from the 17th November!
My TV went in for repairs on the 24th October!

First of all, I ordered a new TV from Curry’s whilst in hospital recovering from a spinal operation where I had screws and rods inserted (so not an insignificant operation).
I have been out of hospital for 2 days and TeamKnowHow texted me yesterday to say delivery was today from 08:55-12:55 - so all good so far.....
No further update from them and 2 delivery men have just dropped the TV off in the box. They missed the estimated delivery slot by nearly 2 hours and offered no apology or anything....I am on morphine tablets which make me drowsy so I’d stopped myself from going to sleep whilst I waited for the delivery.
The worst thing was that I asked them if they could take the TV out of the box and take the box with them (I explained the situation with my back where I am unable to lift anything more than 2kgs). To my dismay they said that they could not take the box as these TVs are invariably faulty and to return it you have to have it in the box....so they didn’t even offer to take it out if the box for me and I said I will now have to make other arrangements to get it out of the box. They walked out stating that Curry’s don’t care they just want your money....what great ambassadors!!!

I do not want to give one star and I would much prefer 0. Why? Well this started when I decided to buy a dishwasher, I thought I would get Currys to install this as my wife suffers from an incurable cancer and as I care for her I wanted to make our lives a little easier. Firstly, the team which came to house one refused to install the dishwasher as they were only trained to turn the fitting on a ball a fix valve we had a gate valve which looks a tap. The other played on his phone. Both men walked out saying they wouldn’t touch it as it would turn off our boiler!?! This had nothing to do with the heating. So myself and my very ill wife had to fit the dishwasher. We paid for the old dishwasher to be removed by Currys. They came the next day. Initially, the driver phoned us and kept messing about saying he would come and we wouldn’t need to worry as he wouldn’t kidnap us! Oh yes that’s not a lie. After loading the dishwasher he then drove over our front garden and left over 10 meters of tyre tracks in the lawn, he damaged property and despite me waving for him to stop he didn’t! I thought I was in an episodes of Fawlty Towers. Afterwards came the customer service. No one wants to help, people tell me that it’s not their problem and that no one can help. After being over 30 minutes on the phone my wife’s illness bought on by the stress caused her to collapse. Currys doesn’t care. This issue is still ongoing. I feel let down. There have been many many phone calls and emails where we are met with the same level of incompetence and promises which are not honoured. I have sent an email already to letusknow@teamknowhow

Was previously with Domestic and General, but they failed to provide a decent service, so when I got my new washing machine, I switched to Knowhow. My washing machine started making a dreadful noise, so I told the customer service team what the problem was. The earliest appointment was 6 days later. Engineer turned up, told me I needed a new part and that I would be contacted when a part was ready. Received a text informing me that my part wasn't in stock, but had been ordered. 5 days later I contacted the customer service team to discover what was happening. First person I spoke to couldn't find my details on his system and insisted that I had phoned the wrong number. After pointing out several times that I had called the number on my policy, he put me through to a different department, where after another lengthy wait, I was cut off. Called back and after another wait, spoke to a different call handler. After being placed on hold for large amounts of time, I learned that my part had arrived but no one had contacted me. Was promised a call back which didn't materialise. Called back again to request a slot on Wednesday, was cut off. Called back again, requesting to speak to a manager. Was informed that none were available, but that I had been given a slot on Thursday. Requested a Friday slot and after hanging up, received a text informing me that I'd been booked in for Thursday....

Terrible service as the huge amount of bad reviews on TrustPilot would suggest - I wish I had read before. Paid for installation of a 55' LG TV, earliest slot was a Thursday a few weeks post purchase but that was OK. Booked the day off work and the team arrived only to say their equipment wasnt working and they would have to come another time. They called through to their manager and confirmed they would install on Saturday, only we then find out on the Saturday the job was never actually booked in and the earliest they can do another installation is in 9 days time. A total waste of time buying this service and the company was disinterested in trying to find any solutions.
Update: After calling twice and asking them to arrange a new delivery slot they managed to find a time a few days after the original delivery window. It was mid week so took the day off. Lo and behold, I got a text the night before that they'd be over 1pm to 5pm the following day, which was fine but then a no show. The second day I took off work for this installation and again wasted. I called the helpdesk as no one had bothered to get in touch, only to be told their system was showing an 8am to 12pm delivery slot and the engineer had said to the depot he'd given us a courtesy call to tell us he was having issues (he hadn't).
It is almost a month since I bought this TV and am currently £120 out of pocket for a service that hasn't been delivered, have wasted 2 days off work and the team has lied twice (once when they said to our face they'd rebooked the job for Saturday and once when the engineer had said he'd called us).
Mind bogglingly incompetent and deceitful organisation. Would be very happy to club together with others that have had these experiences to see what can done with trading standards and other consumer bodies.

Paid for delivery and installation of washer dryer. The washer dryer was unpacked and transit bolts removed before being brought into the house. The team would not install because the plinth was still in place. They left the new appliance in the middle of the kitchen and left. We noticed the transit bolts were missing, we rang the deliivery team who said they had been binned. Customer service told us to get new ones from the manufacturer. Numerous phone calls and poor service means I will never use the delivery and installation service again.

I brought this washer in April 2011 and have paid nearly £5.00 Per month for the Knowhow care for peace of mind , washer broke down last week and engineer came on Saturday 23rd November 2019 , when he came he said he needed to order parts for it , so made another date to come and fix it, which was Wednesday 27th November, put new powder tray and a new door rubber seal on it , he went , we put a load in started washer and as it started filling up water came gushing out of tray draw and door seal was not in properly as water was seaping out of there too, phoned Knowhow team , told them what had happened , only for them to tell me that the earliest date they could get a engineer was Tuesday 3rd December, I told them that this is ridiculous, your engineer caused this and should be sent back at least the next day, this as happened to me twice now The 1st time the engineer forgot to put hose back on washer causing a flood and they said that they would compensate me for ruined flooring , never had anything off them , my fault not chasing it up , but I’m not a vindictive sort of person, there as been times were they have provided a good service , but reason I’m giving 1star is the fact that they don’t care about the customer , they haven’t responded to my emails over this , all they needed to do was get a engineer here the next day as it was there fault. Really disgusted with there attitude and looking at the reviews I think should be visited from the standards people.

Absolutely awful experience with this company. I wish I'd read the reviews beforehand. We bought an integrated fridge freezer and paid £44 for installation. They came 2 weeks later and said they didn't have time to install it but asked if they could they leave it in our house for an undetermined length of time until someone else could come. I said "no" because we didn't have the space. The driver said a manager would contact us to apologise and put it right. No one did. We eventually called them at our own expense and arranged for it to be done again, after having to call 4 times and talk to 4 different people. They couldn't redeliver for another two weeks. Two weeks later they came bringing the wrong kind of fridge freezer that wouldn't fit our hinges. The driver told me that was the third time this had happened to him. So, no fridge now for over 4 weeks and a toddler in the house who needs her milk in stored safely in refrigerated conditions. We called customer services. They didn't seemed interested; didn't think to look into it or investigate it. They didn't even offer us an apology. They Just offered to refund our money; within 4/5 days. So no fridge still, no further forward, no apology; just lots of stress. We took the refund and ordered through another company. It's being delivered tomorrow, a day after ordering. I just hope people read these reviews before ordering from this poorly-performing, disinterested and unrepentant company.
