bad reviews on this site say it all, I wish I came across them before wasting 95 pounds and a month in phone calls to them.
I sent my smart tv for repair a month ago. diagnosis: Power supply is gone ( of course I already knew that as it did not switch on). The part is on back order(the tV is only 4 years old) and after several calls and 4 weeks enquiring they decided they can not repair it. The decision could have been made much earlier. Of course it is not possible to speak to an engineer, so I ll never be able to know if it s only a part of the power unit ( that could have been repaired ) or not.
I would recommend to anybody to seek advice anywhere else as at Curries you would get charged 95 pounds to literally get your tv opened up. I really doubt they can repair 95 percent of items as advertised. with 25 pounds i ll get a second hand power unit, and repair it by myself and will rely more on local shops rather than these money stealers. poor customer service, poor communication with repair centre, extortionate amount of money to know what the problem with my TV is. I will definitely avoid to buy new items from them if this is their way to handle repairs after purchase.
update 26-11-19: I contacted them as advised by the previous message, full refund for repair will be given BUT the TV got damaged at quality and control department , nobody informed me I had to ring again to discover this bad news . Of course they can not give me a date for delivery, I was meant to be called by the repair department but as usual nobody is getting back to me.

If there could be a 0 or a minus, that is what I would give "team knowhow" - or quite appropriately team don't knowhow how to do anything.
Bought dishwasher back in May 2019, within 2 weeks had stopped working, went into store and was a breeze to exchange for a new one. Same issue arrose with the new dishwasher at the end of September. This is where the nightmare began.
Reported this on the team knowhow phone number, had a engineer outwith a week and part fitted the week after that. Engineer left without testing applience and problem was still there. Engineer came out a week later and said there was no reason he could think that it wasn't working, sent to technical. Still not heard anything by the 29th October, rung team don't knowhow, they identifed it had not been sent through to technical so sent it to them. Again heard nothing by the 3rd November, rung up and was told engineer had rung met I tell me it was my water pressure and closed case. Hadn't received this phone call at all, and knew it was nothing to do with my water pressure as it has been checked. Advised engineer will ring me to arrange a date to come out, and that he should write it off. Put a complaint in as everytime I ring up, get told different information to the previous call Operator, the engineer not passing information on, and never recieving callbacks to advise of situations. By the 7th, still not had a callbsck from engineer, or complaints, rung up and they had to book another job in and given the 14th November. Engineer rung on 14th and said there wasn't a point visiting, is going to put on system that it is a write off, should hear from them in 2 days. Eventually leading me to today, rung team don't knowhow, they had the report but there was a delay in write offs, but was going to send to manager to look into, after demanding I speak to the manager as I wasn't getting anywhere fast and the actual chance of being called back was doubtful, actually spoke to the manager. She said the case had been closed, they couldn't arrange for a replacement as it was closed saying curry's was advising to write off and they should exchange. Apparently due a callback after managers spoken to engineer, but we'll see if this actually happens.
Would never buy anything from curry's again, no point in putting complaints in with team don't knowhow, as they don't document everything you want to complain about, and don't actually ring you back regarding the complaint as they're done in house.

I bought a £1300 PC back in August and should have got a gaming activation code sent within 21 days. After I had not received this code i emailed Team Knowhow and explained my situation. They said they would look into it and someone would contact me within 24 hours, nobody did. After 2 weeks i emailed again, and again they responded somebody would contact me within 7 days. 2 weeks went by without a word from them. So i emailed again, and again they responded that someone would contact me to resolve my issue. It has now been over 2 months since my original email to them and i am yet to hear how they are going to fix the problem i have, the gaming activation code offer expired over a month ago so even if they did manage to help with my issue it seems i have already lost out on the offer i should have received with my PC. Absolutely disgusted at the service I have received from them, they don't seem to care about your problems. They do what they wish with no regards to your satisfaction.

After 7 repairs to my nexus asus 32gb tablet I finally asked for a replacement. A voucher code was sent and when I went into the store its value was £59.99. The original tablet cost £200. I rang knowhow and was told this is to give me a like for like replacement. All I could get was a Lenovo 16gb for this voucher so knowhow have ripped me off of 16gb of memory. I had good repair service from them but they don't want to know when it comes to replacement of like for like.

My Panasonic tv has faulty WiFi. The smart function stalls and causes the tv to crash or freeze. It was “fixed” in October but nothing has changed. When I asked for an exchange I was told no. Going to have to send it back for repairs again.

I brought a Tv from Currys and took out their care plan from KnowHow, the care plan was the worst mistake ever. I have now been with out a TV for 8 weeks and still no TV. I have been paying the care plan for over 2 years now , my tv stoped working so I called KnowHow , they came picked up my tv and replaced it as my tv was unfixable , when It arrived it had no box, no remote or stand so I was unable to use it. I then called and asked for a stand , I have received 6 stands at different times but none that fit the tv. I returned the tv to Currys after 7 weeks as I was fed up with the broken promises from KnowHow, I have been promised a voucher so I can collect a tv myself but still no voucher , it’s been 8 weeks now and they don’t seem to be bothered. In my contract it say I will receive a working tv within 7 days so KnowHow have broken the terms of the contract. I have made complaint after complaint but nothing.
I don’t understand how Currys can recommend KnowHow when they are so bad, they have 87% bad reviews, and they are giving Currys a really bad name. If I had know this before hand I would never have used them.
Stay away!!!!

They were a great company, been with them for years and had no issues but something seems to have changed. The service is terrible now. Poor customer service, long delivery dates without explanation that are continually put back further. When they finally settle on a date, you wait in all day and the delivery doesn't arrive. They don't care if you take time off from work, not their problem or "out of my control, its another department" as I keep being told. Asking for supervisors, or trying to escalate to a complaint is useless as they give you promises of resolution and timescales they then retract them when you next call. If you want a service as promised in your plan then I advise you look for an alternative company as KnowHow seem unable to honour their promises.

I used to work for "know how" as a white goods repair engineer from mid 2016 till i could take no more, and left early 2018. I'm not surprised at the poor reviews, as there was a serious lack of training for engineers they recruit. Van stock of parts was non existent, as apparently - and this came straight from my managers mouth when asked- they could not afford to kit every van out with at least the most basic of common parts required!!!! They could, however, supply us with a brand new fleet of vans, complete with trackers, cameras and speed restrictions, so they could tell where we were, how fast we were travelling and how close we were or were not to the vehicle in front!! I also had the privilege of visiting head office once in late 2016. "Know how" or as it is now known, "team knowhow" is supposed to be the technical arm of Currys PC world. With that in mind, I was expecting head office to be full of the most up to date technology, but alas, it was not to be, there was a Mish mash of computers, screens and operating systems. One computer in the customer services department was still running Windows 98!!!! To this day I believe that the white goods repair department of Currys PC world is nothing but a tax loss for the whole group. There is not a company in the world that could be run this badly by accident!!!! If 0 stars were available to give, it would still be about 15 stars too many for this Mickey mouse operation. Steer clear, and get a professional company to repair your machines.
Would be “0” if there was an option, fxxking unless, pushed from pillar to post, no resolution, broken down suspect module failure after 15 months, outrageous, they don’t want to know, will never buy from curry’s again

Shocking service. So I have a care plan for my tumble dryer which is now 5 years old. First call out on the appliance was in March 2018 where the pump was replaced. Next problem was this july 2019 where it stopped heating. Unfortunately curry's had to outsource it to Connect and it was subsequently fitted with a new thermostat which still didn't resolve the problem and still wasn't heating so they then replaced the PCB board.... Which fixed the fault. Then November 2019 water starts leaking from the back of the machine. Log a call and today 13th November an engineer is booked! I must add they didn't arrive in the allotted 4 hour time slot but once I'd spoken to customer services he finally turned up. Andy the engineer was great, he quickly sourced the fault, the pump, again and replaced the pump. The machine is put back together, pushed back in place and he turns it on to check it. First thing he notices when opening the door the light is constantly flashing. This has been doing this virtually from day dot, and yes I've mentioned it to the other engineers but no one has offered to replace this. He set the machine going and then it starts to clunk. He explained that this is the rollers and rear bearings. Engineer left explaining that he has competed the call out for the 3rd fault I had registered with Team Knowhow but he has now found 2 additional faults which he will log with the team. I had read my care plan and it does state that if your appliance suffers 4 mechanical faults then I can ask for a replacement. The team at Knowhow say that this new call out is still for the same call out for the leak!!! No the leak has been rectified, the engineer has found 2 more faults so in total my machine has had 5 mechanical faults that have required new parts to be fitted to rectify them.! So do I recommend the service and care plan.... No! I have been paying for 5 years for a care plan, but they are unprepared to stick to their Terms and Conditions, Section A, Multiple Failures. Customer Services were appalling and even accused me of bad language.... I can assure you there was no bad language even though I'm angry because it would appear that they will not grant you the benefits you are entitled to within your care plan!

I ordered a fridge freezer and paid extra for my old one to be taken away the same day. On the day they said that they didn't have enough room in the van to take it, which doesn't make sense as they knew they were collecting and also it's much smaller than the one they just delivered. The second day they marked the job as completed even though it wasn't. Lots of hassle, phone calls and 3 days later I am still waiting for it to be taken away. Just a joke.

I booked my laptop in for repair on the 23rd October. It was returned to me yesterday, after an additional delay of 7 days due to seeming carelessness. When it was returned, there was a fault with the charging port that was not there before I sent it away. More importantly, my own charger AND the data that I had requested be recovered were not returned to me. As a postgraduate student, this loss of data is devastating. I have submitted multiple inquiries and complaints over the past week and have had no response.
The service is highly disappointing given the cost of insuring my laptop has well exceeded its worth. There has been no apology or redress or even response offered. It seems that the insurance isn't worthwhile, as my laptop has returned with additional faults, missing parts and missing data. A wholly shocking and disappointing service from a seemingly reputable company.

Recently we had to use the care plan to address a problem we had with out TV which was not getting a signal through to the TV from the aerial. The TV was collected and taken to a repair centre on Wednesday 30 October (no temporary set provided) and returned on Monday 4 Novembe.
the repair to the TV aerial has been carried out along with other works deemed necessary by the engineer and the TV now receives a signal from the aerial however the picture is no longer as sharp and clear as it was previously.
I have spoken to the Technical team who say that the work they have carried out, or indeed the transportation to and fro, could likely have had a detrimental effect on the picture quality and have suggested returning the TV to the repair centre. I have enquired about a temporary loan set but have been told we would need to wait at least four weeks which is totally unacceptable to me as this means we cannot enjoy our TV as we should be able.
I have since spoken to a member of the 'care plan' team who showed no empathy and simply said that there was nothing they could do to help.
We pay our care plan religiously every month and have done since inception and having paid in excess of £700 to date find this service totally unacceptable.

Had my hob and oven delivered on 10/11/19 but the hob was faulty. The engineer ordered a new hob, which I had to call in to arrange a day to install the hob. The only day available is 17th which is fast track apparently. I have no gas, which means no heating in this weather and team know how say there’s nothing they can do about it. Clearly stating that it was my faulty the hob was faulty. Great service team know how.

Insurance would not pay out for value agreed would only pay half the value of the item, service is appalling from staff who are happy to say what ever they need to sell you something but have nothing but excuses when things go wrong

Team know how? More like team don’t know how... ordered an inter grated fridge freezer. The people who bought it dropped it down my garden step. Then when trying to fit it damaged the kitchen unit doors. Luckily I had taken photos before hand, so they couldn’t say it was then.
They paid for new unit doors but if I didn’t have proof I felt they were trying to get out of it. They made sure they were unable to refit the doors as they could only come on Wednesday and Saturday. The 2 days that both me and my wife are unable to be in due to work.

So... I recieved my laptop back today not so long ago with a letter saying it was "NEGLECTED" , switched it on thinking my kids can still use it. It wasn't given back in the condition it was given in, the screen was smashed when it only had a few lines in the side of the screen, 1 henge was missing, a button too, also below the screen in the right side was broken too. More like you guys that we're meant to repair it damaged it even further..."SO WHO IS THE ONE WHO NEGLECTED IT ????????"
So I guy named muzzy from the call centre for know hows insurance wouldn't let me leave a feedback review about this and was insisting that I end the call without this bad review. You guys are FRAUDS, you take money off people for the what ever happens insurance, damage it even further, blame us for neglect so that you guys don't have to repair or give us a voucher for another product.
I demand this problem is sorted otherwise I want my 6 years what ever happens insurance money back that I've been paying for a number of years, because I paid that for nothing. I will take this further and make sure other people are aware of what you guys do.
I wish that I seen these reviews before.
