A very professional job from start to finish the guys doing the tiling were top notch

Had our downstairs windows and patio door replaced by Lomond. Unfortunately, due to covid, there was about a 6 month delay in getting this done but that wasn't their fault and to be honest we were happier in that they were adhering to government advice at the time. Happy with the replacement windows and our patio door. The guys who did the installing were a pleasure to have around. Very friendly and efficient. Have recommended them to a neighbour who is looking to get work done.

Lomond recently fitted a new roof on my home and the results were great. The guys were there for only a few days and worked really efficiently. The price was great with the discounted offer and cannot complain with the end result. Would highly recommend.

Just had my roughcasting fitted by the guys at Lomond and am very happy with the work they have done. They were a very professional outfit from start to finish and didn’t feel pressured into the sale.

All staff were polite whether it be the canvassers or the sales rep - not like many others.

Overall very pleased with the discounted price and the professionalism of the company and their work - not much to complain about folks.

I received a free quote for my roof and roofline, from start to finish the process was polite and professional. The door canvasser explained that the quote was valid for 18 months and the sales rep confirmed this. Although we are not in a position to get the work done at the moment, the sales rep was happy enough to leave the quote with us and we can contact Lomond when the time suits.
No pushy salesmen and professional throughout and we will be getting the work done from Lomond in the near future.

Had the guys at Lomond out this morning to receive our free qoute for a new roof & roughcasting. Great customer service and the sales guy Dave wasnt to pushy like most sales reps and companies I have dealt with in the past. Would definitely recommend this company as we will 100% be taking advantage of our free discounted qoute within the next 18 months. Thanks guys.

Update: since I left this review, a member of the team turned up at my door asking me to rethink the review despite the fact it was all true. Not long after I got an email from Trustpilot saying the business tried to remove my review. They clearly try to remove all negative reviews even though they're true.

My review:
Do not allow the sales rep to come round unless you actively want to spend circa £10k on a new roof and to agree to it right then and there on the spot.

I wanted to leave this review in the hope that the sales techniques practiced by this company change, however looking back it seems that this has been going on for over two years with no change so I hold up little hope.

Like many reviews before this, we had someone turn up on our doorstep offering us a free no obligation quote. Having only owned the house a couple of months we were interested and took them up on it. Very unfair considering what then occurred. Friendly sales chap (nothing against the boy, he's just trying to do his job) came later that night and spent nearly two hours in our home giving us the hard sell - far from ideal especially as I am 9 months pregnant. The whole hard sell experience left me feeling so uncomfortable that I eventually had to leave the room. I really worry about the tactic of trying to force people to sign up to extremely expensive home improvement on the spot. We would never have done this but more vulnerable or elderly people could easily be caught up by the extremely obviously chosen language.

I would hope that Lomond Improvements would consider
- reducing the time the sales person spends in the potential customer's home
- removing the forced phonecall to boss part of the pitch
- relaxing the dramatic language when describing the work needing done (of course our roof was basically caved in from what the guy told us)
- completely removing the part where we were asked personal questions about our money situation, how much we had, how much we could spare each month etc
- removing the obvious leading questions "So you will agree.." etc which put words in the customer's mouth
- taking no for an answer. I must have said 5 times that we would not be giving an answer today and yet we were continually pushed to the point I was almost in tears

I would highly recommend not allowing the sales rep to come round unless you actively want to spend £10k on a new roof right then and there.

On 6 august 20, was the salesman to ours door to give us a roof quote ,after 3 hours of explaining that this company deliver a high standards services we buy the roof .
After 4 weeks the start the job with 3 young guys 20-22 years old , and start stripping the tiles and trowing them from the top of the roof long distance to the skip on top of my greenhouse , there put us in danger and the people around us , the skip possiton is next to a road. We contact the company to stop doing this but second day happend the same .
My partner seen how bad there doing the job becouse second day was rain on my ceiling .
The company was informed by us with the mistakes we found out ourselves.
We ask the company to give us the proof that the young guys have the right qualification : the answer from the company to this question it-s `` why you don-t request a qualified team from the beginning``.
The send second team so solve some problems but the finall it-s like that : tiles still moving , gaps ,tiles corner broken,the tiles line it-s not straight ...
The ended the job as company said , 2 members from the company come out to solve the issues , my partner and them go up to the roof see the issues , at some point one of them grabbed my partner hand with the intention of taking his phone off , because he recorded all the mistakes , luckly i was in the garden and i seen it .
With all this happened to us we not trust this company any more and not recommend them to anyone.
PS : Please just thinking what can happen with elderly people unable to check whats happen up on the roof .

Chris our salesman was such a change from normal sales reps, so down to earth, no usual flashy talk. Chris ran through about lomond homes as a company, explaining what they did and what they hoped to achieve, he showed us all the certification. He was outside in pouring rain taking photographs to show us damage and potential problems. We discussed our options and he ran through the product specification and how it was installed including certified scaffold. We ran over our finance options which we were happy with and price was great. Chris was excellent in his knowledge of the company and the product, which helped us trust the company, and look forward to installations .

I do not recommend this company. My husband only posted a positive review at the request of the person who discussed the company's services for us( that's why they got so high recomendation/ review). After a bad job (the roughcast that should have been repaired five months ago), Lomond has done virtually nothing to fix it. Communication at the zero level.

This is rediculous. I have no obligation to conact with You and explain the problem!!! You should be looking at contracts from 5 months ago and find it.

We had a young lad (new to the company) I was a bit flustered as I was working from home and in the middle of something (poor soul), however I agreed to get a quote.
Joe came around on time, very personable and thorough (it takes a while but he was lovely so we forgave him).
He was also great with our very chatty five year old!
We got our quotes thinking we would wait for a year but when we saw the pictures of our roof and weighed it up with the price and quality we feel we are going to get we booked it in for installation. We couldn't commit to the roughcasting just yet but Joe was honest with us and said if we only could do one just now he would go with the roof (and that was the cheaper of the two, which was very honest of him).
Also he secured us a good finance deal to make it affordable.
Can't wait to get the new roof on!

We had Neve round at our home tonight to give us a quote for our roof . I am in the building trade my self so had a rough idea of the cost. I did tell her this from the start . But this did not put her off.
Her presentation was excellent. And her quote in the end was not far away from what we would have paid. I did tell her we would not sign on the night and my reasons for that. Which she accepted. My wife and I will think it over the weekend and be in touch. Thanks Neve. Regards M&M.

Had a visit from one the pleasant door sales team at my door. The young gentlemen was very pleasant and professional. I didn’t feel any pressure at all to close the deal, no pushy hard sales like many door salesmen. Looking forward to using Lomond Improvements to update my house and I feel in safe hands. Not only the door team but the team on the other side of the phone have been super helpful as well.

After a doorstep call from a Lomond rep during the day where I was informed there would be a no obligation quote which would be valid for 18 months we agreed to a home visit later that evening. Subsequent visit by Paddy was very informative. He was knowledgeable, personable and gave a full explanation on the rough casting options for our house, talking through each stage of the process, guarantees etc. In the end after receiving the quote we decided not to proceed due to other conflicting demands financially at the moment but we informed Paddy we would definitely consider Lomond for the work when in a better position. It should be noted I would have given 4 stars but for the fact that at the end of the consultation Paddy's manager asked to speak to us on the phone and we both found his approach to be challenging , rather arrogant and intrusive. He was also pushing us to tell him what we would actually expect to pay for the work noting something along the lines of "if we said the job would be 1k to 2k you would go for it!" I'm really unsure what the point of that statement was as we already appreciated that a full house roughcasting job would have been around the figure already quoted by Paddy! Both my husband and myself felt pressurised by this managers approach and whilst we remained polite we really did not appreciate his approach at all & it has subsequently coloured our view on whether we would actually use Lomond. This is in no way a reflection on Paddy who was excellent throughout but purely down to the manager who latterly spoke to us on the phone. I have his name but will not put on the review.

Had a young man from this company & he was very imformative about the roof materials & work involved.
I will be seriously considering this firm.

Received a visit from Neve today, lovely girl, no pressure to go with quote! The option to pay monthly was an incentive! We needed a new roof so feel satisfied we have got a great deal! Thanks Neve!
