Fast track security on Sunday may 17th was an absolute joke . Only 1 belt open which was so busy it came to a Complete standstill. And your staff need a lesson in customer experience. Just because... See more

Hateful place full of staff who look…
Hateful place full of staff who look like they don't want to be there. Everything from the car park to the security to check into the cleaners. No manners, no politeness.... Just a means for an end for flying away you need to be.....
Worse airport in the uk
I travel for work every second week. I used all airports, this is the worse, will not use Luton again. Horrible system, long queues for passports, and to leave the station is a joke, unclear instruction, shuttle service to train station, used to be free now you have to pay and £27 for a train ticket that does not even take you where you need to go as very limited stops in London at least.
Beware the Pick up -drop off area
Beware the Pick up -drop off area. It is completely set up to catch out drivers as you need to remember to pay after you leave online and can not pay at the time you park.
There is no reason why they can't have the pay gates they did not have before.
Always long queue at passport control
Always long queue at passport control
Unacceptable to have to wait 40 minutes
Every time I come back from travels it is the same story
Not enough machine to process the volume of people and physical agents only process families and other passport categories
Rude staff explains why Max Fosh made fun of Luton Airport
Rude staff and slow baggage reclaim
Simply explains it’s the first UK airport and why Max Fosh made fun of it 🤣
Poor service throughout the airport and…
Poor service throughout the airport and unhappy people. Restaurants can’t help unless you wait for 20 to 30 mins everyone seems to behave as though they are doing you a favour. Sad experience. Haven’t used Luton airport for 30 years and don’t think I will go back unless I am desperate
A Shocking Airport Experience
A Shocking Airport Experience
The entrance from Terminal Car Park 1 to the airport feels like a ghetto. The area resembles a market stall alleyway, littered with rubbish, chewing gum, and vagrants. The undercover car park offers only the bare minimum space, making it difficult for passengers to access their vehicles and handle luggage easily. Having paid a premium for this, I found it extremely disappointing.
The lifts from the car park to the terminal level are filthy, and I encountered people sleeping in the entranceway, with another individual behind a unit opposite the EasyJet check-in area.
My advice? Choose a better airport and invest in a higher-quality haulier that values its customers. The haulier mentioned above provides a budget flight—with an experience to match.
Happy 😃
Never seen so many bad reviews and my experience has been total opposite
Arrived in terminal after being dropped off and the queue was long but it flowed so that’s normal
Departure lounge has really good shops and the TSA are there to help you if you get lost etc
Very surprised with these bad reviews
Feel like it’s a bit of a rip off
Feel like it’s a bit of a rip off, a pound a minute, treating customers like cash cows, if you’re picking up beware of arriving before you’re passengers are waiting outside otherwise you’ll end up having to leave and then pay twice.
Luton car parling
I bought flight tickets, then decided to book a parking space through the official Luton Airport website. After entering the data, the money was deducted, but the confirmation did not come. When I called, the operator said that she did not see the order and told me to contact the bank, when I asked how it could be guaranteed that this would not happen next time, she made it clear that there was a problem with the bank. I tried to book from another bank operator after 5 hours, the same situation, money pending, and the confirmation did not come. Maybe it is time to look for a problem with your website?!!!!
Parking Ticket
My parents-in-law, who are in their 70s, recently arrived at Luton Airport. I used the Express Parking at Luton Airport and encountered a frustrating experience. While leaving, I did not see any pay barriers or clear instructions about making payment after exiting, nor did I see reminders to ‘please pay online after leaving.’ It did not seem safe or reasonable to stop or reverse against traffic to find the pay station. Unfortunately, a week later, I received a parking charge. I believe that clearer signage or reminders at the exit would significantly help to prevent this type of confusion.
Furthermore, the situation did not end there. I received the penalty and paid it on 06/12/24 at 8:53:18, and I received confirmation that my payment was completed. However, I recently received a letter from Debt Collectors stating that I have to pay £165 due to the aforementioned parking ticket. I could not find my payment in the transactions on my bank app. Therefore, I contacted the bank and asked for clarification. They confirmed that the payment was REVERTED by the RECEIVER. After spending an entire day phoning the Debt Collector, APCOA, and Luton Airport, I understood that I cannot appeal now, as my case falls outside the appeal term.
Please check your Luton penalty payment five days after making it to avoid ending up in the hands of Debt Collectors.
Luton airport is appalling
Luton airport is, by a country mile, the worst airport I have encountered. It is not one thing - every element of your encounter has a high probability of dissatisfaction. It starts with working out which method of arrival will be the least stressful- there are no good parking options yes a carpark burnt down and the site is a building site but even the short stay is a 10 minute walk, the mid stay 15, and the long stay is poorly serviced with too few buses. Drop off is now fee based and aligned with busy international hubs - but Luton is just a low cost hub. I suggest you do all you can to avoid having to use a low cost airlines check in desks. Next up is security - if you identify as a sheep then you will be okay, anyone with an ounce of dignity will be left frustrated. Facilities in the holding pen of a waiting area are woeful for the number of passengers - expect long queues for the toilets male as well as female. Each gate has seating for only a few passengers- so you will be standing from the 30 or so minutes it takes to from the gate to the aircraft, and with some airlines, using priority boarding so you can put your carryon bag near your seat will see you standing for longer. Then finally passport control on your return journey will be understaffed for the number of arrivals, - you guessed more delays. My recommendation avoid if you can - fly with a National airline from a hub airport. I.e BA from LHR.
Not quick enough getting through the airport
Most airports are now pretty slick getting people from the aircraft to the exit. We land at 2205 and walked out the front entrance 45 minutes later. The queue to get through passport control was unbelievably bad.
We avoid Luton as much as possible for exactly this and use the other London airports where possible. It was only because EasyJet were by far the best price for out destination that we used it
Really grim
Thieves
will never use Luton Airport again because of the parking company they use (Apcoa) £55 fine for stopping for 20 seconds to look at signs at dropoff. plus £5 for 1 minute parking
Luton Airport
Is it really acceptable be made to wait 2.5 hours for your baggage after the flight has landed to be out on a conveyor belt. Luton airport probably the worst airport in the UK.
Baggage Handlers at Luton Airport
We landed at Luton Airport at about 1.30 am Sunday 5th January. It had snowed but the landing was ok we were about 1.5 hours late. Went to pick up our baggage to see approx 1000 + people waiting for their baggage. Our case arrived at 6.40!! DHL handlers went home at 2am and the day shift started at 5am. How does that work ? Some people waited 6 hours for their cases. No communication from anyone.
4 hour wait for baggage reclaim!!!!!!!
This morning we landed at 2.15am (just an hour or so late due to bad weather) to find that that DHL who handle the suitcases had all gone home, so along with 4 other easyJet flights, no bags went out on the carousel until 5.30am. We didn't walk out until 6.30am. A staggering 4 hours for our but longer for other flights. Absolutely disgusting and I will never night fly from Luton again. They really do not give a damn about the customer!
Despicable drop off parking with…
Despicable drop off parking with horrible services. Trashy parking companies with entitled behaviour. Avoid, they will charge you for breathing their air. Close down the company running the drop off parking asap!
Banana republic airport
On December 27, 2024 We Returned to Alicante from London. We arrive at the airport more than two hours in advance and with the check-in previously done online. When we entered the airport, we saw how hundreds of people crowd together in front of the security posts in an endless queue. Still, we thought there would be enough time to take our flight on time. After more than an hour and a half in the queue, the situation began to get tense and people complained about the slowness of the process because all security positions were not open and there were too many people to attend. The flight gates began to open and are only open for half an hour. Many people start to jump the queue alleging that the're going to lose their flight. People complained about this fact. There was a red hair woman from the airport who was very rude with passengers. She began jump people from the queue who complained to lose their flight. We went to her explaining that our flight was closing the gate in 15 minutes and she should also let us pass, but by showing our ticket to justify our words, she despised us saying that our tickets wasn't in her language and she ignored us completely. When contemplating how she jumps the queue to other people who headed to her in English, we could not contain ourselves and asked for explanations. In the end, she agreed to help us but it was late, the security system was still very slow and we lost our flight for a few minutes. All this meant losing 500 euros to buy new tickets for the next day, in addition to the expenses of trains and buses to return to my daughter's house situated at two hours from there. We feel totally helpless throughout this clearly unfair situation.
Managers of Luton airport: Are you going to be responsible for my lost money and time?... being Christmas time and being a small airport, you should foresee (because you are not apprentices) that there'll be many people traveling and it is needed more personnel for this xmas time. The situation is not solved by asking the passengers to go to the airport 4 hours before. You need all that time to attend double of customers with half of staff, right? Passengers should not lose a whole day of their precious time waiting at the airport. No, sir. It's not like that. Hire more personal and train them better. Remember passengers pay for at least a regular service and your service is poor and bad. You should start by apologizing for your incompetence, and debugging responsibilities. It is an example of inoperative airport, more typical of a backward country or a banana republic.
Luton airport? Not anymore.
