Incompetence that we have to pay for
If I could give a minus 1, I would! Ordered a dress for delivery to my office. I received an email from Hermes stating the delivery had been made the day before, and they provided proof photos of an entirely different building, which was unknown to me.
When I contacted Miss Selfridges with indisputable evidence that Hermes had messed up the delivery I requested they issue a refund then sorted out their poor admin at their own expense not mine - even with the irrefutable evidence that Hermès were the carrier, Miss Selfridges still emailed to inform me they would have to wait for a response from Yodel! God help me they don’t know what day of the week it is!
This delivery was a Christmas present for my daughter, it took Miss Selfridge 2 days to email and let me know they hadn’t resolved my problem and I’d have to wait even longer for a response from Hermes before they could issue a refund... so no present and they have the money- in any other business this would be robbery!!!!!

I ordered a pair of shoes from mid selfridge on Wednesday and paid for next day delivery, the shoes was to wear on my Xmas party on Friday and they still haven’t arrived!!!! I have contacted mis selfridge through their website to complain and find out where my parcel is, but I haven’t had a reply and I’ve also contacted them through Facebook ...no reply. Terrible service from a company who has been running for several years , really disappointing.

My dress, my God, the back zip of the dress was broken on the first day I put it on. I put it on my friend's birthday party, and I ended up with a day.
Very impressed.
My packages came after just 4 days - and I live in Denmark, so that is very fast service, and it came a lot faster then any of the packages I ordered the same day or a couple days before from Denmark. Very impressed!
Also the cloths fits perfectly (used the sizeguide to help decide which size I needed).

Miss Selfridge In Potteries Centre Hanley! I wouldn’t even give them 1 Star! Manager is rude & bad customer service. I wouldn’t entertain shopping in there ever again. This is not the first time I’ve experienced it, no staff about, waiting at the till, Staff member was wearing a coat so I didn’t realise she was staff! As for the Manager Louise....unprofessional & RUDE! Louise wasn’t prepared to refund the Faulty item as she said that the fault wasn’t visible! I had to try the leggings on to show her a small hole on the left leg. You need to log onto your PayPal account for a refund but due to the store having bad internet service (as well as bad customer service) I was told by a staff member to go out of the store & into the shopping centre until I got a internet connection!!! I returned to store informing the assistant that I couldn’t get any connection....to which she replied “I can’t refund the FAULTY item then! I then had to walk further into the Centre until I got internet connection to get my bank card details off my PayPal account. Is this a Professional way of refunding not just a faulty item but any item! All the time I was messing around trying the item on to prove that they were faulty & walking around the centre to get internet connection, Louise the manager found it quite amusing & kept smirking at the assistant!! Unprofessional. Then she’d got the cheek to offer a exchange! I’d already ordered a replacement pair online (I don’t think she listens either as I’d told her this twice!!! Don’t shop here they don’t like customers!

I ordered a dress on 14th September. The confirmation to pick up in store came a few days later. When i went to collect from the store within the agreed time period they didn't have the dress and no explanation! The money had gone from my account though, they didn't forget that! 6 weeks later i'm still waiting for a refund. After emailing them to explain the situation they replied with " we are waiting for a response from our courier" !!!! A second email has been sent with no response back from them! I'm surprised this company is still in business - Appalling
Update : 28/11/18 Just received a " Thanks for collecting your order "email. I'm seriously lost for words with this company! And obviously it goes without saying that customer services never got back to me with a refund! A company that really doesn't care!
Regret ever placing an order
Over a month ago I ordered 100 pounds worth of clothes. The clothes never showed up. I have spent countless hours on the phone to customer services over the past 5 weeks and have still not received a refund. I have no choice but to chase this money through the courts now, and I will also be seeking compensation for the time and stress of it all.
Terrible shop floor staff, unbelievably bad online and almost impossible to reach customer service
Ordered online for store delivery, didn't get the email that it arrived in store so called the store (Oxford St branch) and the lady didn't answer for a good 3-5mins, probably only answered as she got tired of the ringing. She then didn't check for my parcel as it "wasn't her job". I then found a customer service number online, it led to a dead number. So I sent an email (they say they typically reply in a day) I didn't get a response for 3 weeks. I finally found the real customer service number and after being on hold for 30 odd minutes I was told i would get a refund for the item. Massive kerfuffle for no reason - will not be shopping here again!!!!

As it was nearly 2pm I thought maybe my parcel wasn’t scanned but it is ready for collection in store I had ordered 2 items and I really had to collect it before finishing work as I needed to wear the top later that evening so I called up to confirm if it is there or not so the shop assistant told me she will go and have a look and asked me to hold the line for few mins. Those few mins were 16mins!!!!!!!! I got so annoyed and decided to quickly drive to Brent Cross during lunch hour and see for myself. Got there and told the shop assistant I called you guys not so long ago and I was put on hold for 16mins! She said “well one of the girls went to check and she couldn’t find the other parcel she only found one”. She apologised but it wasn’t genuine!!! I told her why couldn’t you have just told me that on the phone even if you guys had found one parcel, I got no answer to that she was just standing there MISERABLE, GRUMPY AND RUDE!!!!!! Just as I was on the way to Brent Cross I got the email parcel ready for collection so basically the real reason was my parcels were not scanned when they actually arrived at the store!!!! They need to hire better staff who can do their job properly I don’t understand why people like that work there if they don’t like the job DON’T WORK!!!!!

Ordered online from Miss Selfridge during their recent 70% off sale, paid for next day delivery to my local store. Next day went to my local store only to find that my order ‘could not be found with the days mail’ and was directed to email customer services and see if there was a problem or delay in my order.
I did so and the issue was resolved and I was informed that my order was in fact in store on the day I expected it to be (where I previously went and was told it couldn’t be found). A couple of days later I went to the store and again they said it was not ready for collection and the staff members I came into contact with were very rude and told me ‘I had not read an email properly’ whilst I was trying to explain my situation.
Poor customer service and rubbish delivery experience, will not be using again regardless of how nice the clothes are!!

I was on the Miss Selfridge website yesterday and I clicked on the delivery tab to see if they delivered to Ireland, but the page that opened told me that the page no longer existed!!!!!!!!??????? I then searched the site to see if they did deliver to Ireland but could not find any answers on the site. Eventually I emailed them and the following day I got a reply telling me that they do not deliver to Ireland. I am now so glad that they do not deliver here having now reading the reviews below!!!!!!!

I guess my turn to write a review about Miss Selfridge...
In spite of many negative reviews about this online shop, I decided to give it a try and placed my order on their website just few days ago, on Monday.
I just couldn't help it, their clothing is so sweet and feminine and so cheap. Right now there is a big sale, up to 70%, so yeah, it's quite catchy if you have a weak will on buying stuffs online ...
To my surprise, it took them only 2 days from the day of order to deliver it to me (I live in Luxembourg) and they used DPD delivery, which is like the best delivery i've ever had a deal with. It's better than DHL. Always on time, never experienced any delays, they notify you about the exact time of delivery. Yeah, maybe I have to write a separate review about DPD delivery XD
So... about the order itself, that was a partially disappointment. Why...
I ordered multiple things, since it was so incredibly cheap, just to try the sizes and fabrics. among the stuffs there were supposed to be a pair of pants, instead of which I received a pair of sandals... I looked up on the website, how much does it cost, and the price was exactly the same as for the pants. This is hardly a coincidence. I personally think, they didn't have my pants in stock, so they decided that going back to the order, to notify me and cancel the item and pay it back, would be much of a pain in the a**, so they just replaced it silently with the item of the same price. Which is a quite disgusting behaviour for the online shop service. So, only knowing that they can do such a thing already STOPS me from buying from their website. Next disappointment was with the way one very beautiful blouse was tailored... (that tells me about how cheap the production of the their clothing must be) I personally have no clue how did the model on the picture put that blouse on, because there was absolutely no way for me to do it. I wasn't just stock in it because of the bad sizing, it was theoretically not possible to put it on. Because... they forgot to put a zip at the back of it, so you had to be in diameter (you and your shoulders including) around 45 cm to be able to get yourself in. the fabrics is not stretchy to allow you to do this without any zip, there are no buttons, nth that would let you in. I coulnd't believe it. This was european size 34, US 2, UK 6. My usual size. I'm not going to return it, just because the whole return proccess is a real pain - i paid for the blouse 21 euros, and i would have to pay for the return shipping around 5-10 euros, and according to the reviews, it isn't a matter of fact, i will receive any refund for it. So I just cut that blouse at the back where it's logically supposed to be a zip, and I'm going to sew it in myself, it's not that difficult, I love the blouse itself.. But this... This is really weird. It's like i ordered from some cheap chinese online shop, where they have dwarfs as fitting models.
As for the rest, i can say, everything fits me (few other pants were 34 size too, BTW) i love their clothing, it's really sweet, beautiful, feminine, but if it isn't on sale with the huge discount, i personally think it doesn't worth it. I mean, the fabrics is cheap. The way it's made - not perfect - i had to redo the buttons myself, for example. So, if it doesn't cost a third part of the initial price, i woudn't recommend to buy it.
I was ordering multiple times from Topshop online, which is, as I understand, their branch? and I never ever had a problem with my orders. Nothing like this. And the clothing is a better quality. Their service is better.
If i buy some other times their stuffs, it's gonna be from another website that carries their brand, like Zalando, or if it's from their website than only pants, the tops I have to try at first.
So... to buy or not to buy from their website is totally up to you. If you are mentally ready to lose a bit of your money, then you could order online, because overall, the clothing is sweet and that will give you some possible joy from wearing it afterall.
Forgot to mention it, their website is quite a weird thing. Few of the links are not working, if you are clicking on Feedback, the link shows up as non-existing... Too bad, the managers don't read the reviews, otherwise, they would be some positive changes since the first negative reviews.
Miss Selfridge no delivery but won’t give me a refund
I ordered online and using Hermes, Miss Selfridge claim to have delivered my parcel on August 1st at flat 2 with someone called Melania.
I rang them up having seached my road for flat 2s with someone called Melania to no avail. Certainly no one living in my building called that.
Miss Selfridge tells me that Hermes now say my parcel was delivered to flat 3 to Charlotte who does live there. I’m good friends with Charlotte who normally takes in my deliveries when she is there. She was away on holiday this week. I asked for proof of signature and date/times. I’ve asked for this three times now from Miss Selfridge who have ignored this everytime. They are telling me to take a civil claim out with the police and adamant Hermes are correct.
Hermes apparently offered to go to this flat to retrieve my parcel for me but haven’t done so at all so far.
I asked for a refund as nearly three weeks ago, no one can prove who signed for my parcel having told me a completely different story at first as to where it was delivered, and I know they are hoping I won’t take a civil claim out with the police who frankly have more important things to focus on. And I am certainly not putting my friend Charlotte through that.
Without he doubt the most shocking and appalling customer care I have ever had the misfortune of encountering!
To me Miss Selfridge have committed fraud by taking my money and not delivering me my products and refusing to give me a refund. They can’t prove the signature and date from their client Hermes. Yet they won’t issue me a refund and are basically accusing my friend of having this parcel having told me it was delivered somewhere else initially.

Shockingly awful, non-existent customer service! Can't get through at all on phone because of high call volumes. Many times have been cut off after being on hold for over 30 minutes!!! What is going on with this company?! Disgusting!
Only refunded half of my returns
They have only refunded half of the items that I have returned (from the same parcel). They constantly have the phone lines turned off with an automated message so you cant speak to anyone.
They take 4 days to respond to an email, so each time you reply they take a further 4 days to get back to you!! I have msg’d via Instagram so will see if I can get this sorted that way :( Email service is shocking and they are just not reading them properly! So frustrating.
If I could rate less than 1 star... I would!
Awful. Returned item on 4th June, no refund or notification email by 29th June despite tracked delivery confirming they received my return on the 6th June.
Called continuously, could not take my call due to high number of calls - not surprised.
Emailed, "Sophie" said she'd request a refund of £26.50 on the 29th June.
Checked bank on 9th July - received £4 refund. Rang & rang & emailed & emailed, threatening (or more so promising) to leave negative reviews on Trustpilot; Twitter; Facebook & to report them to trading standards. Lo & behold... within 3 hrs received a notification email of a full refund despite recommended wait time for an email back being 4 days minimum.
My advice to all those furious they've telephoned/ emailed to no avail - THREATEN THEM WITH BAD REVIEWS AND LEGAL ACTION.
My advice to those thinking of purchasing anything from this sorry excuse for a company, avoid like the plague!!
IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of. Awful customer service
I returned an order with two items in it and they have only refunded me for one. There is no information for this on the help page on their website. The only two methods of contact are phone/email. The email I have sent seems to not exist as I did not receive a copy to my email address to say it had been sent and will be replied to. Have been on hold to customer care for over an hour every time with no eventual answer. Have sent facebook messages: no reply. Tweets: no reply.
Awful customer service. No idea how I will get my money back!
