Kelly at Mortgage Style was recommended to us by a family member and we’re so glad we chose her to arrange our mortgage.

Right from the first phone call Kelly was friendly and knowledgeable and got the ball rolling straight away on finding us the best mortgage offer she could. Everything that was asked of us, was explained fully and at no point did I feel like I didn’t know what was going on. Kelly was very transparent and kept us fully in the loop with regards to communication from the mortgage lender and insurance providers. There were a few moments once we had decided on a particular mortgage, where the underwriters kept asking for more information, which worried me, but Kelly put my mind at rest and explained that it’s all just part of the process and whilst nothing can be guaranteed until the offer is officially made, there was no need to panic! I really appreciated this as it is a stressful time, but Kelly made it a lot easier, whilst still acting like a true professional.

Kelly also reassured us that the fact that one of us had a less than perfect credit history, did not mean that we wouldn’t be able to secure a mortgage, we might have fewer options available to us, but it would not be impossible. This was so good to hear as we had previously been led to believe that we would not even be entertained by lenders for several years, by another independent broker, which made us feel rather demonised to be honest, but at no point did we feel this way with Kelly, we were just ‘normal’ clients!

We also took Kelly’s recommendation to use Lyons Bowe solicitors and again, we’re very glad we did. They have been wonderful. They have an app which you can follow the updates on, but alongside this, we always had emails from whoever was dealing with that part of the process as well. I don’t think a week went by where we didn’t receive communication from them, even if it was just to say that they had no new updates, they kept in contact which was appreciated. From Ada in the very beginning, to Molly who dealt with all the legal bits between us and the seller, to Zoe in the final stage who dealt with the exchanging and completion of contracts. Everyone was so lovely. So many people have a negative experience when it comes to solicitors and moving house, but Lyons Bowe, seem to be the exception to the rule! I would 100% recommend them to anyone.
