I purchased diamond package believing…
I purchased diamond package believing that it included European breakdown cover. After uploading documents I was still unsure so contacted company. I was informed that only UK breakdown was included and that European breakdown cover would be an additional £90.00! I requested that the policy be cancelled but was told that to do this it would cost £40.00! This was because policy was purchased through an online search engine. This was all within 15 minutes of purchasing policy and upon checking payment status on my card, payment was still pending so could have been cancelled from their end quite easily. Left with a sour taste in my mouth. Not the way a decent company should treat a client.

When completing the quotation online, you would have been provided with a summary of cover, along with our Terms of Business before completing the purchase. These documents explain any administration fees, including when they apply. By proceeding with the purchase you would been required to confirm your acceptance of these terms along with the risk information being correct and accurate.
Insurance comparison sites earn a fee from insurers for introducing customers. This doesn’t affect the price you pay—it just allows the service to remain free and easy to use. As you have set the policy up via a price comparison site, this fee is applicable. Therefore is charged as part of the cancellation fee should you cancel prior to cover starting.
