Georgia was excellent. She spent weekends and after work hours showing us through houses. Buying property feels daunting, confusing and riddled with complications, so it was nice to feel we had someone to help us navigate the process.

They were the agent when we were tenants. Our first agent with them was very good and always available within reason. Our latest one however was a disaster. After we were told the owners were selling, I sent three separate emails related to vacating the property. None of them were answered. On the day of handing in the keys the agent did email to ask when the keys would be handed back, but never acknowledged the other emails. We subsequently were charged another month of rent because they forgot to turn off the direct debit. When I emailed the agent about this, he simply asked for the bank details without even apologising for the inconvenience.

Michael and the team made the process of selling my house seamless. I really valued his professionalism throughout the entire journey. From the initial consultation to the final closing, every step was handled with care and expertise.

I would highly recommend Michael and his team to anyone looking to sell their home.

I have been with Company for a long time - I have three properties with them. Over the last 18 months two years it's been dreadful service and outcomes for me and recently worse - if that's possible. A revolving door of staff that seem to be very inexperienced and have a very low care factor. If feels like they do not care about the landlord and their role in the equation. Time for a change but I would NOT recommend - look else where buyer beware!

I put this out today to let everyone know how dissatisfied and unhappy I am with the Nelson Alexander's property department headed up by Kate Holt.

Had to move to another agent and leave the rental department of Nelson Alexander after over 20 years as the service level and attitude had dropped dramatically over the past 4 years.

I am making all landlords aware that no proper checks are done, and when they are done a lot of the issues or problems are overlooked out of pure carelessness.Tenants neglect is left unchecked and when it gets bad it is supposedly the landlords duty to fix it.

On some occasions I had to personally take time off work to inspect my apartment with the PM and was shocked at how they did their checks. I had to take it up with the head of the rental department Kate Holt. When I disagreed with her views on duty of care she was extremely rude and hung up on me on 2 different occasions. Not sure if this is because of staffing issues.

I took this up with their sales department a number of times (Peter Stephens) but I suppose they are only interested in you if you are going to put your property on the market.

Also I am making all landlords aware that their TRADIES ARE THE MOST EXPENSIVE. To change my gas oven to an electrical oven in my apartment I was given a quote by Nelson Alexander's tradie Dom Tech of at least $1970.00. I called my own tradie and got the full job done for $875.00. Even their electrical and fire alarm compliance check company starts from $550 plus parts. My own electrician got it all done for $265.00. When I made Kate aware, her attitude was she couldn't care less.These are just a few examples. The rental department seems to be in total disarray.I think they have forgotten who pays their wage as they are definitely not working for their landlords.

When I decided to move to another agent I discovered one of my tenants had notified them she was moving out at least a month earlier before Easter. Kate Holt totally denied that they were advised by the tenant. My new agent confirmed that what my tenant said was true.

I am an ex real estate agent and I think landlorrds should be made aware. If a landlord like me who has been with Nelson Alexander for over 20 years has left there will be many more making the move sooner or later. Sad but true when a big company like this has one of their major departments going of the service track!!

House hunting is hard. Finding the house that matches the image in your head is hard. My forever home image was firmly set. Finding an agent who could embrace that image not the sale but a genuine enthusiasm to be part of making a dream a reality is like finding gold .Georgia was like a breath of fresh air to my search. Although she was based in the Carlton office she was able to access any Nelson Alexander property thus replacing the need to continuously repeat my criteria or deal with multiple agents.She embraced my dream and motivated me when I was flagging. Not once did she show me a property that didn’t fit my criteria but when we’d look she ‘d look at my face see an expression and say it’s ‘ not quite it’ the feels missing for you. She listened , never judged or became annoyed at what seemed like an impossible task. Even when she went overseas she texted saying look at so and so. I could go on . If you’re in the market I can not recommend Georgia highly enough she’s an exceptional agent and a truly lovely person.
