Making a Poor Situation Better
One of our Northgate Lease vans has a mechanical fault. Ringing RAC as requested by Northgate Head Office only to be told that Northgate had to book a recovery! Spoke with R**** at Northgate Huntingdon who was very efficient in arranging for RAC to collect the van, and keeping me updated of the situation. Just a shame that Northgate don't seem to have any replacement LWB vans?

Clutch repair
I took my van here after being at another depot multiple times, the clutch was the issue. I had a very good chat with Simon, the guy who repaired my vehicle, He was very informative. He told me about the condition of the old clutch which shocked me as cannock branch had told me it was fine with no issues. I was asked to be careful when first driving to allow the new clutch to bed in. I must admit, it feels like a brand new van.

Was dealing with David mardle when my van was in for some work. A very customer focused individual and very understanding of the urgency I was in for the van. He went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and kept me informed through out the process. He even got the van cleaned for me whilst it was in which was a great surprise. Definitely a great person and the company deserves him very much. He takes a lot of passion in his customers and his job. The A team David and Tom on the front desk are incredible in exercising customer service and providing outstanding results where possible.
It is a shame the workshop cannot work along side the front desk efficiently resulting in slow turn around of repairs due to staff shortages in which management should rectify immediately to improve the customer service.

Unfortunately, we are experiencing vehicle availability issues which is a problem being felt across the entire motor industry, and this can lead to us being restricted in what we can offer in terms of replacement or new hire. Northgate cannot and do not guarantee that a like for like vehicle can be supplied as a loan but will always do their best to ensure that we provide something to keep our customers mobile until we can fix their vehicle or source something more suitable. We of course want to welcome on board all customers current and new and are working hard to ensure we are providing fleet to all.

Ongoing complaints with a vehicle we have a long term hire on
Problems with vehicle between 8th March to 7th April when the injector was finally fitted to remedy the problem. I requested a credit for the period we were not able to use the vehicle and was told that we cannot have one as the vehicle was not at the branch although the history of events is documented and received by our account manager Chloe Beal. On the 17th March she gave no guidance about the vehicle needing to be recovered to branch in order to qualify for a refund. Similar problems have repeatedly happened with this vehicle previously so this is not the first time we have been left in this position.
I do have a full details report which I could have attached but there is no option for this. I have this vehicle on long term hire and I am very disappointed with the way this matter has been dealt with, with us having to do all the running around for a vehicle we are paying for an not being able to use.
