Website is so slow, if using you will need a lot of patience, takes forever!!

It should be possible to give lower than one especially for these people . These people are absolute scum of the earth they are worse than parliament they purposely steal funds and withheld them for their purposes just line their own pockets . Never mind the incompetent delinquent they employ as binmen and bus drivers who have all got their licences from Kellogg's. currently every town in Nottingham and village is having all their roads dug up at the last possible second bear in mind some of these repairs have been needed for nearly three years now and of course millions of pounds in damages to vehicles. So this is causing massive delays all over Nottingham I've lost six hours of my life due to their incompetence maybe if they've done it on time and use the budget I supposed and use the budget as it's supposed to be instead of squandering it until the last possible second Nottingham cancel I just reverse robin hoods they rob the poor while they give to the rich

I genuinely feel for the office staff at Nottingham City Council who are in the direct line of fire having as they do to deal with the frustrations of the Nottingham public whenever they are in a direct line of communication. This council’s inefficiency goes way beyond the meaning of that word.They are way off the chart!. They are a Council teetering on bankruptcy. Yet apparently they are in no need of the council tax donation. I have tried to ring them. After half an hour of listening to muzack,I gave up.I emailed them. Their email server was unmanned. I made an online complaint,it needs to go through multiple ranks of administrators and I should get the result three weeks next pancake Thursday. There was a how did we do today,star review system. It accidentally on purpose wasn’t working doubtless because they we’re very embarrassed at the level of one star ratings.
Apparently they fail to respond to Trustpilot reviews. I don’t suppose they are bothered. Whenever I have to deal with is paragon of inefficiency my heart sinks,way down to my boot straps.

They are housing illegal migrants and pushing all other people to bottom of housing lists they've been doing this for past 4 years not a single British male has been given a property on council bidding list since 2021

Illegal activity involving the use of Nottingham council houses as children’s homes has been uncovered by an auditor.

According to Grant Thornton, which has been reviewing Nottingham City Council’s yearly accounts, 12 houses owned by the authority under its Housing Revenue Account (HRA) were used as children’s homes contrary to legislation.

The issue with the HRA comes after an investigation by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy and Richard Penn, a local government expert, found millions of pounds had been unlawfully transferred from the account.

Money from the HRA intended for council housing and tenants, was wrongly transferred to the council’s General Fund for other services over a series of years beginning 2014.

The cost to make it right is estimated at around £51m with inflation.

Grant Thornton has since discovered further illegal activity dating back to 2009.

The council says the issue has been “largely corrected”.

An interim audit report, discussed at an Audit Committee meeting on Friday, March 22, says: “In this Interim Auditor’s Annual Report for 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23, we also now highlight illegal use of premises between the General Fund and the Housing Revenue Account.

“Around 12 Housing Revenue Account premises owned by the council were used as children’s homes between 2009/10 and 2022/23 (therefore for all three years now under review), contrary to the requirements of the Housing Acts 1985 and 1989.

“Officers inform us this was largely corrected during 2022/23, with most of the homes being transferred to the General Fund.”

Explaining the illegal activity, a council spokesman said: “These properties were originally council houses, some of which had been earmarked for disposal.

“Children’s Services at the council needed to create some small children’s homes to accommodate children in care which led to a decision that some of these houses could be utilised for this purpose.

“They remained in the Housing Revenue Account and rent was paid to the HRA from Children’s Services.

“Children’s Services had an inter-departmental agreement to use these properties rather than a tenancy.

“When a review of HRA assets took place, the issue was raised that because the children living in these homes didn’t count as tenants, they didn’t strictly meet the rules required for these properties to sit in the HRA.

“For this reason, these properties were then appropriated to the General Fund in order to regularise the arrangement and make sure the rules were properly adhered with.”

A recently approved Housing Revenue Account business plan confirmed the money would be repaid over eight years.

When asked, the council did not say if correcting the issue involving council houses being used as children’s homes comes at any additional cost.

Corporate director of finance and section 151 officer, Ross Brown, added: “Just to be really clear the misappropriation of funds in relation to the HRA is a matter that has now been fully addressed just to offer audit committee that assurance.

“We are aware of what the wrongdoings were historically, we have both put the control measures and practices in place to ensure they don’t happen again, and we have also introduced a plan for the reimbursement of the funds between the respective areas as appropriate and as signed off by the improvement and assurance board.”

Racist maintenance workers are a real problem at Nottingham City Homes, particularly the plumbers. They sabotage the plumbing, usually the water tank in the loft so that the tenant is flooded out time and time again. This happened for many years before I realised what was going on. I thought they were just incompetent until an independent plumber visited and told me what he found. Loose fittings where no attempt had been made to tighten up parts, welding joints fractured etc. By then I had replaced an entire ceiling and an expensive carpet. It's been more than a year since the independent plumber left, and I've had no issues. And that's after ten years of frequent loft tank leaks. It made me look again at all the other so-called accidents that has occurred at the hands of Nottingham City Homes maintenance workers in this house. Countless incidences of destruction which never seem to happen to other people, certainly not to the scale it happened to me. You'd have to see it to believe it. Some of the racist are very subtle, some exhibit blatant hatred. The end result was always the same, leaking pipes within weeks of a visit. What I use to think was just someone who got out of bed the wrong side or just a grumpy old git (not wanting to even say hello) I now believe to be a Nottingham City Homes racist. Will I complain? No, I can't. Who can I trust? The housing officers don't represent the tenants, in my experience.

Squeeze the little man for all that they have so they can give the greedy fat cats at the top their Christmas bonuses!
Visited Nottingham for the first time and after following my satnavs directions, I unknowingly entered a bus lane. As soon as I realized, I turned off as soon as it was safe to do so at the nearest exit. Their city centre road system is very confusing and they have way too many signs up for this, that and everything that it is very dangerous when you are trying to focus on driving, other drivers and pedestrians. When I got home, I received a penalty. I’ve driven in a lot of city centers and have never received a fine. Nottingham has to be the most confusing and most dangerous. The council made over 1.2 million last year on Canal Street alone, that's one way to ensure they raise enough funds for their bonus’s right?! but a guarantee at keeping visitors away in the future.

The Community Protection Team are an absolute insult who are employed by Nottingham City Council.

I had a DAT machine installed to record the nuisance but through no fault of my own developed a fault and therefore no evidence was recorded but yet you still require evidence of statutory noise nuisance before you can take any further action or visit my neighbour. That slightly contradicts the visit from a CPO to the address
on / around 13th October 2023.

Reported several blocked drains, the inspector said that they are fine with in spec! Yet you can see them on google earth! They are either incompetent or lying. (Not coming when stated?)It is caused by all the new building in my area. The lorries not cleaning their wheels!🤬 Causing a potential risk of flooding in heavy rain.

Useless at best! They've made bad decisions and blunders since as far back as I can remember. Stop blaming your problems on the tight budget. Time for a change.

Nottingham City Council I made an enquiry today regarding an occupational therapist as I feel that now I'm struggling in my home,the person that I spoke with was very good and professional I felt,she was helpful,polite,and I'm happy 😊 5/5 stars for you dear.

God these people should come on the streets with bowls in hands and beg for the money. Disgusting people and have absolutely no empathy or will to serve its people for betterment. They will do anything and everything to fine people for any excuse they get. Shameless bunch of people. I would die but would never like to work for such scums…

Below one star would be perfect.
Been disabled and having a disabled son, we had to sign up for the assisted bin service which is more abuse for disabled than it working. The abuse verbally by the bin men for us asking for the service - it was literally killing me but apparently I have had a miraculous miracle if recovery - green bins one guy really hates disabled I know which one, I bet others do too. So we now are going to have store our rubbish forever as cannot get to the road walking, housebound is housebound. Had a letter today that the assisted services has been taken off me as the bin men said to - what medical degree dies bun nan have who has never even seen me, insulted me enough loudly - which has destroyed my mental health. If I wasn't so bad medically both physical and mentally I wouldn't use the service as it's unfit for purpose, the bin men overrule their busses as it is. Truly had a breakdown today. As I cannot get my severely disabled 15 yr old to do the bins not leave him home alone for hours while I crawl with a bin - sadly that's literally,

Then another service teacher for the deaf employee by Nottingham city council, tried against NHS to take away my son's hearing aids, no communication to me only one with parental rights.
Didn't even have her details, which is crazy. Non parent communication from the special school too

Hit a pot hole and my windscreen cracked it was that severe.

They pushed the claim aside with corporate BS and the usual jargon.

The fact of the matter is the roads are not maintained. Has caused me an insurance excess for their negligence regardless of the parameters for repair they hid behind.

I pay in excess of £1000 for road tax this year WHAT FOR? It certainly isnt for maintenance.

Bus lane swindle. You're new in a city, trying to find a hotel, bang, you find you've inadvertently entered a bus lane. £35 down the drain. Won't be spending my money in that city again.

Two years ago, I stopped two scumbags beating up a traffic warden. Recently, I got fined for not paying a car park ticket in Newark. My ticket fell off the dashboard. I sent them proof of payment. Still got fined.
Brilliant thinking. Guess who won't intervene next time I see their hard working wardens getting beaten up?

I had roof repairs needed. They left it over 6 months because they needed scaffolding in place. I complained and complained at which point they decided to do it without the scaffolding.
Debris fell below and they used no PE to prevent that. I went outside and debris nearly hit me. Apparently its my fault as they was on the roof and it would be common sense to not go out?? Sure blame me for your actions.!

Nottingham must have the worst traffic system in the UK. Painfully slow traffic flows, even when volumes are not particularly high. Illogical routes and appalling signage, where the vast number of signs in some locations compete for attention (thereby reducing it and compromising road safety) and cause confusion. In other locations, where clear signage and adequate and appropriate road markings might help traffic to avoid, for example restricted zones, there are none, or what exists is conflicting and misleading. You’d imagine a responsible authority would seek to aid compliance. But we are not dealing with a responsible authority in Nottingham. Nor a competent one. Not competent in serving the public and the greater good, anyway.

Entrapment is a speciality. Look at Canal Street. £1.6 million in fines in under 3 years for a tiny length of bus lane. That level of income is proof positive that traffic ‘management’ in Nottingham is either a gross failure, OR it is a scheme designed to raise revenue by wilfully stimulating unwitting violations. It’s one or the other. Which is it, Nottingham City Council? Your choice. But either is utterly inexcusable.

What we see in Nottingham City Council is a self serving, money grabbing, customer abusing, entirely corrupt, morally and ethically bankrupt shower of con artists and scammers. Viewed from that perspective, we see a really slick bunch of operators.

A sickening and shameful spectacle to behold.

I walked into Nottingham the other day.....just before the summer holidays. The council house is dark grey/ black it needs cleaning. The fountains were not on.When do you decide to get them going?There are empty shops everywhere with human beings sleeping in the door ways...they shouldn't be there with belongings it's not a good look when your sitting at a bistro table eating lunch trying to keep the city going.Customers will stop using these places. These human beings need help and guidance I am not blaming them.We need to move them somewhere safe.Sort it out.You have invested near the bottom end of Broadmarsh.....new shops to let, you can't fill the old ones.The place is full of cheap rubbish fast food places.Theres rubbish everywhere.The seaside in the square is a good idea but why wait until the schools finish. Open at the start of summer...under 5s would enjoy.What are you doing to our city. Very sad to think of all the greatness we had films,architecture,novelists,poets,music and sport. Stop letting our city down.
