Avoid. Rude and disrespectful staff.

Avoid. Extremely rude and hostile staff member made me feel like an animal abuser when bringing in my moodle in for grooming. I agreed from the onset that there would be extra charges for hair matting but she continued to speak in a very condescending manner insinuiating that the animal was mistreated. The dog is happy, clean and healthy and is is no pain or distress. The dog is spoiled rotten. I requested the staff member be respectful in the way she was speking to me to which she escalated asking me if I'd prefer to take the dog elsewhere. So in turn I escalated even further and am now going elsewhere where the staff are respectful to customers.

Eli in Pet Barn Gungahlin is amassing…

Eli in Pet Barn Gungahlin is amassing could not recommend any one more highly. I have been taking my German Shepard for grooming at Pet Barn now for 4 years, and only stopped when Majura Pet Barn Grooming Closed. I was informed one of the girls who groomed my dog in Majura was back in Gungahlin and is the manager, So I me and my dog are VERY HAPPY that Eli is back,. and I honestly couldn't fault them. heavenly! I would happily recommend the Gungahlin store.

Deceptive Advertising

Went in to store and they advertised Buy one get one half price. They had a big price tag $25.89 then big tag next to it saying buy one get one half price. When I went to the checkout they charged $31 and said "bad luck" I complained and got told to suck it up. It is clear deceptive advertising, not in the spirit of doing business. They have lost me as a customer.

Booked my dog in for grooming and they even got that wrong

Booked my dog in for grooming, the appointment was for 1pm, got three texts saying it was 1pm. Several days before the appointment I went in and told them I will have to drop my dog off at 1130am, for I have a funeral to go to. They said no worries '..'we will just put your dog in a cage till 1pm...'. Anyway ended finding a friend to drop off my dog so told my friend to drop her off at 1230pm. 1130am Pet Barn Elizabeth rings me up asking why my dog missed its 1130 appointment. They then said they wouldn't be able to complete the grooming for she was late. so hopeless, unprofessional the appointment was for 1pm just because I said i might drop her off early doesn't mean the appointment time has changed. And if this did mean the appointment changed, fine but you at least should have told me; complete amateurish rubbish.

Not what I paid for

Paid good money for short clip on my dog got her home only to notice bits offur sticking out everywhere when you pay 105 dollars you expect a professional job only to find am amateur job has been done won't be going back to oxenford pet barn again

Online Ordering is a rort!

I try and order my pet food in bulk to take advantage of the free 2 hour delivery for orders over $149. The trouble is it doesn't matter what food you order or in what combination, inevitably the system says all of a sudden its out of stock on something, even though you had it in your cart 5 seconds beforehand!! You can never hit that target of $149 successfully and it's just a huge rort to make you by more expensive products!

I purchased a harness for our puppy…

I purchased a harness for our puppy yesterday believing it was 30% off. This was written in a large font and didn't realise the tiny font said it was 30% of a lead when purchased with harness. This is not the first time we have been conned by petbarn's confusing sales.
I might add that the staff at Coffs Harbour store are very friendly and knowledgeable. This is the first dissatisfied review I have ever given anyone but I really feel conned

Spoke to Hannah Sunshine store was very…

Spoke to Hannah Sunshine store was very rude. Won’t do a dog a full groom because she has to be done until her second coat comes through a lot of crap I’m a vet as well and I do know that you can be done and a ridiculous price to you. lucky you got one star as for the first and second woman I spoke to Hannah when you say goodbye to someone you don’t hang up on him and customer service everything and you have nothing. I feel very insulted by that

Don't think i'll be back after this

I've been spending on average $2800 pre year at petbarn for years. Usually no issues, but all of a sudden i've had issues with multiple orders in a row. The first one was an inconvenience, with product not recieved, but i accepted the issue as resolved with a refund. The second order just simply got cancelled without notice or explanation. After I reached out, I later found out that it was because they oversold stock in during a sale (or so they say). So on their error, I miss out on the sale, run out of dog food till the weekend and have to go to the store (again) for something that is usually on repeat order - Their response was essentially bad luck. I'm going to chat with my local store to see if there is anything they can do, but i think it's time to hit up petstock's price match offer.

Lies, Silence & Theft of Money

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I'm not sure they actually HAVE any customer service, actually. No response to emails. LiveChat has the dumbest bot I've seen, which promises to summon a real live person but several hours later still no real person appearing in chat. Two hour wait on phone, still on hold. I truly believe there is no one dealing with any of these customer contact points and they're hoping you give up and go away.

All this, after paying for the fastest, most expensive shipping and not having the item arrive. No tracking number, no human contact, just an automated "trust us, bro, it's coming... sometime... maybe" despite paying for same-day delivery for a pet emergency.

I'd rather go with Amazon next time I need pet supplies, and I despise Amazon.

Shipping waste

How in this day and age, where we are drowning in plastic and are increasingly aware of it, Petbarn can still be wrapping shipped items in thick plastic, and each item individually wrapped at that (!) totally boggles the mind. It’s why I avoid Petbarn deliveries like the plague, even though with 3 dogs and 2 cats it would save me a lot of money. To be honest that’s shameful and pretty ridiculous Petbarn, do better.

We take our pup to puppy school at…

We take our pup to puppy school at Petbarn. Our pups are given sub standard treats, even though the school pushes for us to buy the most expensive treats. We are told what dog food NOT to give our pups, yet the same food is given away to us at puppy school. My husband & I were having a private conversation about how to help our puppy & we were rudely interrupted with input by the teacher not only did she interrupt us,she also rudely interjected our private conversation. The teacher wrongly accussed me of pushing my dog down to sit which is NOT what I did, my hand went down NEAR her bottom to the ground as advised by the teacher. Thank you Jess for making puppy school an absolutely awful experience! You are 1/3 our age and you need to show respect to people!

Incorrect item received and no resolution

I purchased an item online, and they gave me the wrong product. I then followed up with their customer service team 7 times to resolve this and send the right product. This still hasn't been resolved. Poor service.

Angry and upset

Took my puppy in for a groom where the groomer was so blase and uninterested I should of left straight away. But I unfortunately didn't then I got a phone call to say my pup was ready to pick up . When I got there not only was the grooming job shoddy but she had cut my pups throat badly enough she had had to take her to a vet to get checked out . My pup is traumatised and so am I. She really didn't show much regret and acted like she was doing me a favour by taking $15 off the bill and gave me a used half tube of wound care honey. I would never recommend that particular pet barn grooming to anyone. I am so angry and upset that people trust this so called professional with their loved pets.

Worst Grooming salon

We had to go through another bad experience much worse thank the last time with Petbarn Grooming. Since we were not happy with the Fountain gate salon, we booked Benji with Narre Warren salon for a ESSENTIAL CUT with BLADE 3 because we didn’t want him to have short hair like last time.

.When we arrived one of the girls checked for matting and said he’s ok also we mentioned that he had few matting on his ears as it wasn’t cut properly last time. However, we knew that he’d be ok this time as he was not difficult when we had his nails cut about 2 weeks ago at the same salon.

We dropped him at 12.30 and he was ready at 4 pm but with a really bad outcome. When we said that this is not what we wanted the girl at the time said that the booking was for a full groom, he was difficult, he had a lot of matting and biting which was really hard to believe because he never bites.

We are so sick of complaining every time we had a grooming session with Petbarn but this is really unprofessional. We booked him there because the lady who did the nails was really good and explained everything clearly so we thought Benji will have a nice haircut at least this time but NO. We had to deal with the emotional damage done both to Benji and our family because they care about money only. After the grooming session Benji was really unsettled so we had to take him to the vet who confirmed that he’s traumatised and had to treat.

THEY NEVER ADMIT TO THEIR MISTAKES AND PUT THE BLAME ON THE POOR ANIMAL FOR THEIR INCOMPETENCE.
After each complaint, the area manager would call and arrange to refund the money and say unfortunately he cannot replace the hair and his stylists are all properly trained and it’s unfortunate that this happened to your dog TWICE 🧐

It’s time to revisit your groomers training program.

I've had my little dog groomed twice…

I've had my little dog groomed twice now at the West Gosford store and I honestly couldn't fault them. She's a terrified rescue dog who's scared of her own shadow but comes home happy and relaxed. Not to mention being beautifully clipped, manicured and smelling heavenly! i would happily recommend this store.

This company sucks

This company sucks. Their on line ordering system is down (consistently getting "server error" so the problem is at their end). I try to place an order with their customer "service" (service is an inappropriate term) but (despite the problem being theirs) I cannot get member prices on the items (a substantial amount) plus they want to charge me upfront for delivery (despite it being a pay and collect order) All round disgraceful. I am looking to see if their competitors do better
