This company are dreadful 0 STARS

This company are dreadful! Provide a service somewhere where there is no mobile signal to use the app and the phone number doesn't work properly that is if you can get a signal to be able to call them! So many barriers to paying which all seem to be designed to get you past the 10 minutes grace time so then penalty notices can be served! You cant even speak to anyone from there. Called this morning and staff were most unhelpful and bordered on rude in their response. Raby estates who manage High Force car park ...this parking business doesn't help your reputation at all! Dreadful company..dreadful service! Beware!!

Awful app and company

Exactly the same experience as previous reviewer. Paid for parking, received message to say payment was received and then receive a £60 fine. No record of session on app though Phone and Pay admitted there had been a failed transaction on my account. When I asked how I could I know that the payment had not gone through, they said I should have had a text which I didn’t receive. As a result I am fined £60 for non payment and Phone and Pay refuse to get involved by confirming the failed transaction. I will NEVER use this app again and strongly recommend avoiding at all costs. Norfolk council definitely need to change provider.

This app is a scam!!

This app is a scam!!! Have paid the parking, seen session confirmed and then few weeks later I get a £60 fine. When I look for evidence that I paid the parking there's no record of the session or payment. I see that the same happened to other people. I will strongly advise you to not use this app!!!

Would not allow to pay over phone

Would not allow to pay over phone. Can only pay by text if you already have an account set up. Can only set up the account by downloading the app. Takes for ever to set up. No option for cash payment.
Seems designed to ensure you get a ticket.

I lost my money

I lost my money. (They charged me double the fare)

Worst App currently widely using in Sheffield area for local parking payment.

When I asked for refund they erased all the info from my account. When I called second time the customer service agent gave me an email to report my complaint but havent received any reply yet.

My hubby and I need to give ZERO stars

My hubby and I need to give ZERO stars. Just over a week ago, my hubby parked in the Redbridge Institute Carpark managed by Phone&Pay. He thought he had registered his details and location and paid for parking by phone. There was no receipts, no options for this. But he got a text saying that the vehicle is registered to park, but there was no expiry time given. Four hours later, the text came and said the parking was not processed. He had to ask the college to kindly issue a visitor permit to avoid getting a fine.
Yesterday, he parked in the same carpark and went through the phone payment process. He got a text saying that the vehicle is registered to park, but there was no expiry time given. Later, a text came saying his payment had not been authorised and he was not currently booked to park.

He didn’t realise the carpark was closed at 5pm and had to retrieve the car the following day. Later, he called the number for P&P provided. He tried to extend the parking time and validate payment details, but the automated voice kept saying the system was not operational due to updating (attempted 5-6 times). Then he went on the P&P website and tried to use the number provided to text and extend the parking till noon the next day. But it did not work either. My hubby eventually installed the app but had a great problem logging into the system. It didn’t seem to want to accept his phone number or any password he tried to set up. After 4-5 attempts, he eventually went into the system and saw that the original 24-hour parking time from earlier had actually been validated, despite what the texts had said. He also managed to extend the parking time until noon the next day. The next day, he wanted to extend the time again by one hour on the app but again couldn’t log on, despite it working the previous day. He also tried to phone the P&P number, and got connected to the automated system, but also had difficulties here. Despite entering correct location and bank details (He quadruple checked that they were correct), the system kept either repeating back the wrong bank number, or saying that the details given were incorrect, and then saying to start over. He finally managed to book what he thought was an additional 24-hour extension, only to have the automated system hang up quickly before confirming whether the parking had been extended or not. After all the time wasted, had to take a £30 taxi to try and retrieve the vehicle before the parking expired. Luckily got there just before it expired.
This whole experience with Phone and Pay has resulted in a huge amount of frustration, wasted time and money, and stress on family members. Although one doesn’t want to believe it, could it be that this particular company is trying very hard to ‘catch people out’ so that they end up having to pay a fine? One doesn’t want to believe this, but with the current climate of economic distress, it may not be out of the question. There are only two words to describe it, ‘lawless’ and ‘cowboys’. Having had previous problems with a private car park company overseen by the BPA, the private car park industry seems to be corrupted!

Ogmore-by-sea

Ogmore-by-sea. Pay in cash £3, use phone and pay £3.70. There’s me thinking app prices should be competitive. Lockdown rip off. Who pays in cash at the moment?

Incompetence verging on dishonesty

Wish I had looked at this site some months ago! I am fighting a potential courtcase over a £1 fee I paid in April 2019 and that P&P deny receiving. I am convinced of my position because previously I had to pay them a surcharge as I didn't realise Blue Badges were unacceptable to this company.

As previous people have said the system they have is not fit for purpose.

Just appalling

Just appalling! Ibis hotels, what were you thinking? Making guests use this app is making them STRESSED. My bank thought it was fraudulent! They declined the first transaction. The site barely works and it keeps asking you for more and more of your data in order for you to get a VAT receipt.

Simply Avoid

Surely there should be a zero star for the worst parking app ever!
Constantly crushes and not user friendly at all.
Used it for Liverpool and never again.
Please, avoid, avoid, avoid.

Would like to give zero. Most unhelpful app and response times too slow. Ending up paying twice for parking in Ilkley due to slow response. Ended paying by cash then got receipt for card payment 30mins later. Will never use again!

Poor app, on a samsung S7 running Android 8 cannot choose timeslot and it books the next 14hrs automatically. Contacted phone and pay, the customer service woman who called had a massive attitude problem and extremely unhelpful.

If there were no stars then I would…

If there were no stars then I would have selected that, worst app I’ve ever come across.
Always comes up with error or the maximum spaces have been used, there are currently about 5 cars out of over 100 spaces in there.

It baffles me this day and age that someone doesn’t do something about it

Absolutely horrifically useless. DO NOT USE this. I signed up and it did not work. I ended up thinking that it was just a scam company trying to get payment details.
