Initially put money in ticket machine because we didn’t know how long we’d be. Then I took a picture of the phone number & code to ring if we hadn’t returned in time. Anyway we didn’t return on time so decided to call number. Not used the mobile method for a long time . Tried paying for parking but my old registration came up. The options were 1 to proceed or 2 to change details. Tried updating but got cut off twice so ended up leaving restaurant to go to car park and physically put money in machine. Arghhhhh annoying!

A frustrating and expensive experience

A frustrating and expensive experience. £1 car park cost me £2.20 to park. Not happy.

Parked in my usual car park but the pay machine wasn't working. I had no option but to pay to phone up. I have a mobile on PAYG. It said it would take 1 - 2 minutes to register. It took 5 minutes and cost me £1. Then it cost me extra to send a text to confirm my car registration. A lot of faff and expense. I didn't get a response to my text and I was now running late for my emergency dental appointment. I'm disabled and on a tight budget. Why can't I just put £1 in a machine? It's fast and simple.

Also the car park has NO designated disabled spaces and when I returned to my vehicle I was blocked in. This is not acceptable. Luckily I was with my carer who moved the car so I could get back in otherwise I would have been charged to wait for the person next to me to move.

Be careful - hidden charges

Be careful, they add loads of charges on that you did not agree to, and then take money from your account!! I ended up paying double what I would have if I used the machine.

This app is not fit for purpose

This app is not fit for purpose. The dropdown menu for selecting parking times is really not easy to use on a smart phone. I used to app to pay for 2 hours parking and because the dropdown is set on 1 hour and you press enter for your details, it somehow only parked me for an hour (I did select the 2 hour option!). I now have a parking fine to pay... Cheers PhoneandPay! I could have got change instead. Why even have this as an option if it's not user friendly?

The service clearly doesn’t work

After submitting car reg and full credit card details we were cut off, so had no idea if registered for parking or not. We went through the process again submitting all the same information all over again. Then we’re asked to submit code for car park site. We were then told the site was full and we could only park for 2.5 hours. The car park was less than half full!
We had to park quite a way away in a side street and run back to get our train. The service clearly does not work. I will check my credit card bills to see if I have been charged twice for parking they had refused to register me for

Terrible, rubbish, bad, obsurd.

Tried parking in Barry Island today.

Lots and lots of confused people there.

Managed to register.

Then got cut off when trying to pay...twice!!

Downloaded the app and 4 digit location number did not exist on the app !

Eventually overheard another confused customer. There was 1 cash pay machine in the top corner of the car park. No signage for this though.

Cost me about 40 minutes and from what I seen everybody else in the car park was in the same boat.

Terrible

Utterly discgraceful

Utterly discgraceful. Paid the agreed fee for all day parking of £4.00 plus a service charge of £0.08. I therefore expected the total charge to be £4.08 but when I came to open the invoice I had been charged for a confirm text plus a reminder text totalling another 20p. It may be a small amount however with the many thousands of people that use the service getting scammed out of an additional 20p it is going to make them a fortune. Reported the transaction to my bank and complaining to the council that let me administer on their behalf.

What an absurd system

What an absurd system! I park and work through a long and weary registration process. Some minutes later I get a text to re-enter my car registration despite the fact I've just done this. I'm buying a coffee at Starbucks. Within seconds I get another text saying I haven't replied in time and parking has been cancelled. I re-phone and they ask for the parking location number. How would I have remembered that! Fortunately I have the initiative to look it up on the Liverpool directory. What a shambles! I don't think I'll use this again. And why didn't the meter accept cash? Signage said it did

I know this is shocking but I dont have …

I know this is shocking but I dont have mobile phone! This means I'm parkingly challenged, at least in Ross on Wye. Please explain why the fact I don't have a phone now prevents me from walking my dogs along the beautiful river Wye when I've never previously had a problem.
I can't be the only one thus disenfranchised and I'm sure in these days of enforced equalities it can't be fair to pick on the elderly (like myself), the poor and the technophobic.
