I was looking for a real high street shop that I can trust to upgrade my phone and sell the old device. I had a great support to find what I needed. I was allowed to try it and was convinced that, even though it is a second hand device, functions as new from the box. Also the guys bought my old phone providing premium rates for trading it in. Can highly recommend! Store located in Nottingham.
Update 8 months after. Battery health at 73%, lasts a few hours. Requires replacement but not covered under the warranty - 6 month only. Was 100% when bought and said it was replaced with a new but apparently was a low quality battery - not happy. Offered a 20% discount but not, thanks.
Really easy to get valuations for old devices
Really easy to get valuations for your old devices. Only took a few minutes and you get the choice whether or not to post it or go into a local store to hand it in. Definitely recommend for getting rid of clutter

Fine, unless something goes wrong…
The first red flag should have been them selling me a phone they technically didn’t have. After buying a refurbished iPhone 14 Pro in purple in July 2024, I was informed via WhatsApp a couple of days after ordering that they didn’t actually have a purple one available to the specs I’d purchased. They could supply me with a silver one instead, with a couple of freebies thrown in for the inconvenience. Fine. I accepted it due to iMobile’s advertised 2 year warranty, vs musicmagpie’s 1 year, and the fact it seemed shallow to pay £100 more just for an exterior colour.
Fast forward 6 months, and my phone’s screen manifests a bright green line down the left side. It’s distractingly bright and unpleasant. I contact iMobile through the livechat (aka - WhatsApp. Not exactly proper customer service) and get ignored. I email. Also get ignored. I finally get a response via email advising me to make sure I had all software up to date (I did) and to try turning it on and off again to see if it went away (duh). If it doesn’t, there’s a link to click to book it in for repair. I’m currently pregnant with a lot of stuff going on, so being without a phone isn’t ideal, and I don’t have the bandwidth to sort out a temporary handset for while I send it off, so I decide to sort it out once I’m on mat-leave.
A day later, I get a response on WhatsApp (“live-chat”) asking me to email in about my issue 🙄
Now on mat-leave, I sort out a replacement handset, and go to book my repair through the link… except they’re already asking for £265 upfront for said repair… where does the two year warranty fit into this? I have emailed again asking for further help, and am once again being ignored. I regret making a purchase with iMobile, and wish I had just paid full whack for a new phone outright. At least I would have actually got a phone in my preferred colour and responsive customer service. I would recommend avoiding iMobile. Once they’ve made their sale, they’re clearly not interested in looking after their customers.

Unprofessional and poor service
I never usually do reviews or have ever had issues with phone firms repairing my phone. But my experience here was so poor and unprofessional. I had to write this to warn others, as nobody deserves to be treated the way i was or lose their money to this firm.
Originally i had come into this firm for the first time to fix a charging problem with my phone. They told me they would 'change the charging port and put a new one in.' And that was that. In the end my phone was able to charge so they did fix the issue initially. But after taking it away, my phone started to overheat to obscene levels, and cause the phone to constantly restart. And whenever I called or received calls I could no longer be heard. So I had left with more problems with my phone that is originally had.
I came back to ask them to fix it, and they said they didn't have the parts and to come back Tuesday. But the employee didn't seem to care much. I then went to a different store to see if maybe they had the parts early, but upon inspection they told me the battery was changed and faulty, and the charging port hadn't been changed. I was upset, but i decided to go to another phone repair firm to see if they said the same. They said the same thing.
So i returned to IMobile. And was only met with defensive hostile behaviour, no remorse or offer to fix or take responsibility. And even tried to cast me aside and serve other customers when i was speaking with the employee.
I heavily don't recommend this place. Ill mannered employees and unprofessional work.

Do yourself a favour and avoid this company. Also pay attention to the other 1* reviews here. Phone arrived in tatty box with no invoice or receipt and they did not provide one by email either. For various reasons it was necessary to return the phone for a refund. The phone was received back by the Chelmsford store on 3rd February. I had to constantly chase for the refund to be processed. Most of these requests went unanswered by iMobile - very poor customer/after sales service. Refund eventually received on 6th March. I don't think I would have received it at all if I hadn't kept chasing them.
Highly Highly Recommended
Outstanding customer service, efficient, helpful and polite. I am a 63 year old ludite, I went in because my ancient iphone 6 had given up and some programmes weren't running. A very knowledgeable talk through my options and a non pushy sale of a reconditioned phone included in the price the transfer of my data. They suggested I go for a coffee and come back in half an hour, that was 10.00am. When I returned they were still trying, I returned an hour later and they were still working on it. They worked all day and at 4.30pm were finally successfull. They wouldn't take a penny extra. Highly highly recommended
Avoid
Ordered an iphone. No confirmation, no dispatch email. Live chat no response. Whatsapp chat no response email no response. Tried the phone number was told id get an update within two hours. Nothing. Rang again, said phone has been dispatched and would be with me the next day. No tracking, nothing.

I needed a screen protector, having decided to boycott Amazon (for a number of reasons), so went into imobile on Clumber Street as I was passing. What a brilliant service! I got a great quality screen protector for much less than I’d pay on Amazon (and much better quality than Amazon); the assistant also fitted it for me, free of charge.
