arrived at 0815 for a pre-booked slot…
arrived at 0815 for a pre-booked slot at 0830, first slot of the day. booked in for 2 front tyres. Walked around the town for half an hour when I returned my vehicle hadn't moved. Then someone came in who had arrived well after me to collect their car which had been done first. Felt like a second class citizen.
On the plus side the tyres are fine and were a good price.

Poor service - and booking system not fit for purpose
I had slow puncture in a tyre. Booked it in at Protyre to get it looked at. When I got there, they did not have enough fitters, so to avoid a long wait, I rebooked for the following week. Sadly, when I returned a second time, the fitter had suffered a bereavement so the appointment had to berescheduled again. Obviously, these things happen, but a timely phone call would have saved me a journey. On the third occasion, they could not find a problem with my tyre... was told to see how it went and call back if the situation didn't improve. It didn't, so returned a fourth time... only to be told that they couldn't fit me in, even though I had booked a timed slot again. I went to another garage (Hillview, Combe End), who fitted me in straight away and within a minute of removing the wheel, identified the puncture. It was repaired quickly and economically. After years of decent service at Protyre (previously Bathwick Tyres), I will not be returning. The booking system is obviously not fit for purpose.

My appointment was booked and…
My appointment was booked and rescheduled. When I turned up for the appointment I was advised that they were very busy that day and it may be best to reschedule for another day as they could not say if/when the booked works would be done. When the works were carried out and I collected my car, the colleague tried to charge the wrong amount by £120. All the staff seemed very stressed and overworked.

I called in as I had an issue with a wheel and tyre. I had to wait as they were busy but, I was seen and advised of my options. Tyres were ordered. An appointment was made and advice given regarding driving whilst I had to wait for my tyres.
New tyres fitted. The crew were helpful and knowledgeable.

When the person trying to remove the wheel tells you they can't get the wheel nuts undone because they're too tight and they have to be told that they are tightening them and not loosening them does not inspire confidence.
