Good as usual. Good reception, quote reasonably quick, had tyres in stock, completed as offered. Thanks.
Simple to order tyres online and cheaper than normal discount tyre website. Good range of tyres available next day and local fitting with a range of available dates and times.
Only issue was the time taken to fit, balance and align tracking, possibly due to not waiting around, but still only a couple of hours.
Had to pay twice as the garage couldn’t trace my on line purchase the day before .
Still awaiting a refund !!!!

Fantastic company, called in on the day as got a puncher only wait around 30-45mins great customer service and care recommend
Work was completed in quick time, but tyre pressures were different across each wheel and the tyre pressure rest had not been reset - confused my wife. It would have been perfect if the reset was done.
Tyre wasn’t delivered to agent on day promised necessitating a re-visit the following day

Where to start? But I just do not waste my time, will not use their (non) service any longer. Extremely rude staff, no one presence in the reception area but all the vehicles paperwork along with the vehicle keys on them on the counter in the reception which is a huge GDPR breach!
They say they will call when the job is done but they never do, if you try to call no one answers. I went there after they had my car for 4 hours supposed to be 2 hours max for a service. The guy didnt know what he was talking about, first told me that my car was not done yet. When I said but you supposed to call me. Then he start saying they are short staff only 8 people working. Well, for the size of this garage 8 is plenty if you ask me but if not enough then do not over book simple! But the most important thing for me is absolutely no customer service! Rude rude rude staff!

Title / Subject: Disappointing wheel alignment experience – steering wheel still crooked after two visits
I recently had new upper rear control arms (rear wishbones) fitted to my BMW X5 and was advised by my mechanic to have a full wheel alignment (tracking) done afterwards. I chose Protyre for this service.
After the first alignment, I collected the car and was told everything was completed correctly. However, the very next day, while driving on the motorway, I noticed the steering wheel was noticeably off-centre when driving straight. It was clear the wheel had not been properly locked/centered during the procedure or the alignment itself was incorrect.
I booked a return visit for correction – no issue with arranging that. On arrival, I specifically asked to see the before/after measurements on the computer screen. The technician showed me the screen, where almost everything (camber, toe – front and rear) was in the red/out of specification. He then explained that it was “impossible” to set properly because new shims/spacers were supposedly needed, even though the original adjustment bolts looked heavily rusted and weren’t even fully tightened.
What surprised me most was that the rear axle – which in BMW vehicles (especially X5) must be set first as the reference point before adjusting the front – appeared not to have been touched or adjusted at all. In August this year I had a full alignment done at a BMW dealership and everything was perfectly within green specs, with no comments about any seized or non-adjustable eccentric bolts.
I requested a full refund as the car was returned to me in the same (or arguably worse) condition, with the steering wheel still crooked. After some discussion I was refunded only £30, not the full amount paid for the service.
For comparison: while I was waiting during my second visit, another customer (a lady with a BMW 3 Series) arrived for tyre replacement and was immediately offered and sold an alignment without any hesitation or mention of “impossible adjustments”.
Unfortunately, after two wasted days of annual leave (I work 8–17), two trips to the branch, and paying for a service that did not deliver, my steering wheel remains off-centre when driving straight. The car still pulls slightly and clearly needs proper alignment.
I would not recommend this branch for BMW wheel alignments, especially on vehicles where precise rear-first setup is important. Very disappointing experience and poor value for money.
If you're considering alignment here, especially on a premium vehicle like BMW X5 – I suggest going to a BMW specialist or dealership instead.
Thank you for reading.
