This organisation should be shut down…

This organisation should be shut down and made to reimburse all of the vulnerable and susceptible people they have knowingly fleeced. Anyone who has had dealings with them, you need to make a complaint and if they refuse to uphold your complaint then do not hesitate to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman.

All they do is hassle you

Wouldnt use them again after been put on furlough I had a few money problems so couldn't afford to pay every week my agent hassled by text calls and coming to the door 3-4 times a week (after they were allowed again) after the first lockdown agent even tried contacting me and my wife through Facebook which was completely unacceptable all I can say is good luck trying to get the rest of your money from me it isnt happening

Been awarded redress which they have agreed. Now over 2 months later still not been settled despite financial ombudsman chasing them, if I were you any complaints you have they just ignore and hope it will go away as they ignore you. Would stay well clear to be honest. Really bad service. Don’t keep to their words. Actually harassed me for payment which I oaid over three years ago and ombudsman awarded £209 for harassing me. Still waiting for that as well. Terrible customer service.

Bad company, extortionate interest and takes advantage of the vulnerable

Only gave one star to be able to leave a review, my partner put in a complaint over 56 days ago with the help of myself and his family, he needs help with things like this due to mental health problems. He was told to allow them 56 days, it has now passed 56 days and they are no longer responding to emails (was replying with 48 hours until a week ago) He is on so much medication for his schizophrenia and other illnesses that he can't remember what he did yesterday let alone when he took all his loans out. The agent knew of his mental health but sold him loans without telling him how much extortionate interest was being added each time. He is on the severe mental illness register because of his problems. Provident are aware of this and have been sent all proofs yet his still waiting for an outcome more than 56 days later. He was taken advantage of and they know this!!

Really pleased

Really pleased with the way this company has dealt with my complaints.
Having been a customer for years I did fall behind and was my fault.
But after a few emails and phone calls I received a good pay out and debt wiped off.
Although I had a letter 3 weeks ago saying they still owe me a tiny amount and would take 2 weeks we now in week 3 but overall if u use this company we'll.
Then the benefits are there

Would leave 0 stars if I could

Would leave 0 stars if I could! Unethical immoral company. Avoid like the plague. Their interest rate is absolutely extortionate and they pray on people who are going through hard times, taking advantage of the fact that they are in need of quick easy money. Before you have paid one loan off they are bugging you to take another one. Trying to claim back via the mis-selling procedure takes an age, even when they have admitted they were wrong and will issue a cheque. They then calculate the redress figures wrongly (leaving you out of pocket) so PLEASE CHECK THESE before accepting any figures from them. They dont answer emails. There is never anyone available to speak to when you call. They dont answer facebook messages. What a shambles of a company. They will no doubt one day follow the route of Sunny, Wageday Advance, Wonga etc and go bust.

Ex Provident employee ......

Having been a Provident employee I can wholeheartedly inform people to not use this company. If your finances are that bad that they are your only option believe me you will be in an even worse position afterwards. When I started I felt that I was really helping people who were struggling and indeed the company seemed to adhering to FCA rules. Once they got their license tho, things soon changed and we were pushing loans onto people who didn't need them and couldn't afford them. Constantly putting temptation in front of vulnerable people........

Need short term cash give provident a bash!!!

This is my second review, i have had 2 loans with provident personal credit and have to say a very good company. I was refused elsewhere and am pleased i managed to get a loan through provident. The staff are very enthusiastic and professional in particular donna and paul who processed my loan. The rates are quite good and give plenty of time to repay, they look at personal circumstances not just credit rating i would like to commend this company on excellent service also being very friendly and helpful. Considering they come to your home and have higher overheads than most companies their rates are decent and they set an example to other loan providers. My opinion is if you need short term cash give provident a bash!!!

Disgusting opportunists.

We had a leaflet shoved through our door today advertising loans at over 535% APR.

If I were to borrow £500 for 12 months with these loan sharks, I'd have to pay a total of over £2700.

That's absolutely disgusting. They target deprived and low income areas, especially after the year we've all had with covid and with Christmas coming up. Its absolutely disgusting and should be illegal.

I can't give this dreadful company a…

I can't give this dreadful company a low enough rating. They claim to perform affordability checks, yet my wife who was on maternity leave and couldn't afford her own expenses, let alone the added expense of a loan at over 1000% Apr! (Yes, that's a thousand) was offered a loan. I don't see how this loan shark company are legally allowed to operate. They pry on the desperate and offer false hope. They also neglect to mention the fact that if you take out one of their overpriced loans, you can kiss goodbye any chance of getting a mortgage for at least 2 years. The FCA should shut this firm down immediately. Avoid at all costs!

My daughter has just left sixth form and going on to university and these disgusting vultures have sent her a letter offering her a loan at 535.3% APR. How dare you try and get customers this way! Absolutely disgusting wanting 18 year old as a customer. You have been reported and also reported for getting her address and details somehow without her consent

Absolutely awful company, continuously harassed us when we're not even their client and he no longer lives here and have now got a debt collector company sending letters here, they have no respect for anyone and now I have to take this to the ICO because apparently we don't have the authority to make a complaint
