Not valued as customers

I placed an order for 5 products, only 4 arrived, i contacted customer service via WhatsApp, even though it was a bot, it wouldn't accept messages until working hours. Got back in touch asked loads of questions by the bot b4 being purmt through to a human. Human informed me that the missing product would be sent out....so fine with that. However, 10days later nothing had been recipes, so contacted them again to be asked the exact same questions as b4, even though on the same chat. I requested a refund as at this point I was aware that nothing had been actioned, I was told this would be done and the reason the item hadn't been sent out is because it was out of stock!!! Funny that as you could still order the item online. Overall bad customer service & not valued as customers.

Don't get the gift wrapping!

Bought online and paid for gift wrapping, which I recommend you do not do. Why? Becuase who the hell would I want something gift wrapped with the pissing companies name stuck on the outside. It defeats the pissing reason to have to wrapped. Had to wrap it again!

So sad used to Love their reeds parfume! The last two I bought there were not the same as perfume strength and now I have bought a refill and you cannot smell it even when you sniff it close. I am very sad that they have done such a dramatic change to their product and kept the same price! Good luck to them customers are not stupid …

Purchase from the website at your own risk!

I recently purchased shampoo for my husband for Christmas and used the Rituals website because the price was feasible compared to other sites where I have purchased their products in the past. I ignorantly didn't read these Trustpilot reviews before I made that decision thinking that ordering directly from the company would be better than third party stores. This was a mistake. The shipping time was fine, but the package showed up with a busted bottle with product all over the box that was too big and only lined with paper instead of actually securing the bottle. Although I understand that the courier is partly responsible, it's on the company to ensure that their items are packed in a way that even if the package is smashed, the products should not take so much damage. I called customer service immediately, again thinking that this was the best way to address the problem, but this was another mistake. I was only given the option to take a gift certificate or have a replacement sent. I reluctantly accepted the replacement, but decided to check the site for other options. Of course, there was the option to receive a refund (for the product only, not the shipping, which I don't believe is legal in the EU), but despite filling out the online form, the request wouldn't go through. I've sent a message to their customer service related to delivery problems, but have yet to receive a response. Although I do have the replacement coming, I don't doubt the packaging will be just as abysmal as the first and would much preferred to have my money back. I will never purchase from this company again!

Recently visited the Rituals shop in…Gunwharf Quays

Recently visited the Rituals shop in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth.
I don’t normally write reviews but I had such good service last Sunday I thought I would on this occasion -a lovely young girl helped me, Charlotte from France I think. She was knowledgeable and just so helpful and kind recommending products as a Christmas present for my daughter. I went away with some beautiful products. Thank you for all the help and pass on my gratitude.

ERROR

Second time of online ordering and again full disappointment...
I won't visit their shop after visiting branch in Ajman City Center where the seller showed very rude attitude and offensive behavior. After saying "I will check by myself first" to her question "May I help you?", where she thought that I will not buy anything but at end I completed order for 370 AED...

Second time ordered online, first of all, cream and hand gel came 70% empty. Secondly, size... Its extra small items, must be that's why they decided to provide discount.
Quality of bottles, items inside are very low, maybe its expired items.

The most sad part of this, that I cannot submit return. Tried from 2 devices and every 2-3 days since the day of delivery, all of them are being transferred to error website "403".

Dear Rituals Team, fix your bugs first of all, and secondly teach your seller's and representatives to walk on ground, not in clouds. No need to show attitude to the customer.

I am only giving a 1 star rating as it refuses to give a Zero!
I checked stock of item online and it said it was in stock at my local (20 miles away) store, so I trudged over there on a cold, wet Saturday only to be told they didn't have it! When I queried this they said that it was probably a 'computer error' or that someone had stolen it from the shop floor! I was pretty incredulous at the reply but accepted their offer to place an order there an then for free delivery within 2/3 days.

Well..............the order never arrived and when I looked into it more, the courier Yodel had been given an incorrect post code. Despite 5 attempts to put this right which involved numerous calls to the shop (only to be told that I would need to contact customer services) they finally replied to say that they had cancelled the order completely as they were unable to change the post code!

What a complete sham and to make things worse, all the customer service representatives kept saying things like "I'm sure you will love your purchase" to which I replied "I might if I ever receive it" and then also "I hope your parcel arrives in good condition"!

Honestly you can't make it up and I have lost several hours of my life chasing this stupid product round in circles.............BEWARE!

Heed the warnings

Do not order from these, you're highly unlikely to receive your items.

The second time I've had issues.

It took over two weeks for them to acknowledge the missing item, to then inform me they had issued a refund.
Fair enough, you'd think....but, where's my refund?
Oh yes, it can take 14 days to process. However, they offered me the opportunity to spend more money, with an added discount, whilst I wait for the refund. Haha!

One of the workers was very rude to me and my friends. we went in to wash our hands and she shouted at us for “using too much” we were hardly using any of it. then we were looking around and she shouted at us again saying “i think you have looked at everything” she kept following us around the shop making me and my friends feel unsafe. other than that women other staff were nice except her

Real bad company

Well i will never use this company again, daughter asked for a certain gift set which I ordered and should have come with free gift, upon delivery the packaging was opened and had the courier photograph that it was open and item missing, after getting in touch with Yodel and Ritual was offered gift card as item no longer available even though it was still on offer, so after gift card given I ordered 2nd set of gifts and after 4 days of no update I contacted the company and told there was a problem with the order and would not be recieving it, this is a very poor experience and advise other buyers to avoid

The ingredients are poor and products they sell too expensive for what you get.

Companies need to wake up and quickly. Reputation is everting. Good marketing is not enough. Artificial intelligence now tells us if products are quality. This is a wake up call to companies. Get with the times. The old ways of trying to convince us your products are of good quality are declining. We can rely on apps now. As a techy, that’s what I do

Ensh*ttification in full effect

I used to like Rituals. I've bought a few of their bath products and scents. But I guess something shifted in the last few years. Perhaps big investor bucks started coming in? Maybe it's some new corporate direction to "optimize" everything. Well, wherever this stems from, the changes are in full effect.

1) The new refill cups don't fit the original container, defeating the whole purpose of refills.
2) Customer service is AI-powered with the most inauthentic, faux spiritual script.
3) They absolutely flood your inbox with the most inane emails.

Essentially, here is another company that has devolved into a mass producing, revenue-worshipping, husk of a brand.

Incredible Help from Ian at Rituals

My Perfume Genie suddenly stopped connecting to my WiFi, so I reached out to Rituals’ customer support and I have to give the biggest shoutout to Ian. From the moment he replied on WhatsApp, he completely transformed what could have been a stressful situation into an absolute breeze.

Ian arranged a replacement within just one day of me reporting the issue, but it wasn’t just the speed, it was him. He was friendly, warm, funny, and genuinely invested in helping me. His energy and attitude made the whole experience feel personalised and effortless, and it honestly felt like speaking to someone who cared rather than a typical support agent.

Out of every customer support interaction I’ve ever had with any company, Ian is hands-down the best. A true 10/10. If Rituals ever wants to train other brands on how to treat their customers, they should send them straight to Ian.

I’ve always loved Rituals for their products, but people like Ian are the reason I’m loyal to the brand. Absolutely exceptional.

First of all I absolutely love rituals…

First of all I absolutely love rituals products and i would spend ridiculous amounts of money in there atleast once a month.. I was in the tallaght branch yesterday, I walked in and saw small diffusers on display at the front door, small bottle with reeds attached, couldnt see any in boxes so thought that the ones on display were the selling product, anyway walked around the shop got a load more bits and pieces, then a very stern voice from behind me said are you buying that, referring to the small diffuser I had in my basket, and I said yes, she snatched it from my basket and proceeded to tell me that one wasn't for sale and got one in a box from the stock room, stormed out and said loudly, ill leave it at the till for you.. so that kinda missed me off so I went up to checkout and another really nice girl was at the checkout, then this stern blond eastern European one says ill take her.. so at this stage i was going to walk out and leave everything behind, so she took for my things, and said ive emailed ur receipt and I said ill have a paper one please, she stuffed the receipt in the bag and stormed off.. seriously guys you need to do better with this staff member as shes bringing down the vibe you guys have.. theor is no excuse for redness to paying customers!!!!
