RAM Mounts are made to order certain times which push th eta on components out and that is not related to RJL Technology Integration.Regarding "slow shipping:" each RAM product description on our site includes the following:
"If product is not in stock, lead times are typically at least 4 weeks. Credit card is charged at time of purchase. All orders are non-cancelable and non-returnable."
Your items at the time of order (Aug. 4) were not in stock and this was not made secret to you in any sort of way. RJL does its very best to deliver items as quickly as possible; however, RAM parts often have a longer ETA, which is why we let customers know up front that there will be a lead time, if not in stock. Once your items have shipped, tracking information will be sent via email and through the web portal.
I would help to keep in mind that there is a 4-6 week lead time.
Regarding "uncompetitive price:" the items you ordered were two parts at $32.08 each, and one at $21.07 each. When we did an Internet search to compare our pricing, our costs were lower in nearly every comparison. The few comparisons where we were higher were by approximately $1.00; we do not believe a difference of approximately $1.00 makes us uncompetitive. Secondly if you feel that the price was to high than why exactly would you place the order? That seems largely counter intuitive for any savvy shopper who buys "stuff from China" that you "bought off Ebay".
Lastly, regarding California sales tax: the State of California requires that we collect sales tax. For more information, please refer to this link:

We are mandated to collect sales tax. If you feel that the sales tax is something you don't feel like you want to pay there was no reason to proceed with the order. With in the confines of the 4-6 week lead time we feel that your order was handled to the best of our abilities and treated with the utmost transparency. Thank you for your review. However, there are some clarifications needed.
The product ordered by Magellan Search Group was a Hewlett-Packard part. Some parts, depending on availability or lead time, might ship direct from the manufacturer, or might ship from a manufacturer-authorized distribution center. Before Magellan's order, Hewlett-Packard had not notified RJL that the product was no longer available; the product has since been removed from our site.
The statement "was told several days later that it was unavailable," is inaccurate. Magellan's order was placed at 11:40 a.m. EST 6/12/14. RJL was told by HP at 6:05 p.m. EST 6/12/14 that the part was no longer available. At 6:11 p.m. EST, an email was sent to the email address attached to Magellan's order notifying them that the part was unavailable. Furthermore, Magellan's credit card was never charged.
We regret that we were unable to fulfill the order. But in some cases, we and the End User are at the mercy of the manufacturer's availability and supply chain.

First off your orders combined couldn't total 250 so no there is no free shipping there is no reduced freight.
Clearly you are an observant person and saw the item was not in stock. The manufacturer shipped this out on Thur 4/03/2014. You were notified that there was a pending order. There was no email, phone or any request for information..except for this review. We then emailed you on the 7th to explain that a drop ship is happening for your order and that we only know the details once we are invoiced.

I try again, same thing, so I ask why, no response. Another reseller had it and shipped it promptly. That is why this is one of those sights full of vaporware.

Firstly, I would like to thank you. Criticism is an important or else we can never improve anything. Clearly you took the time to put together a review bc it is important to you to share your opinion. Now let us explain the situation.
In reviewing the situation. You were promptly told twice that your order was not something that could be fulfilled and your card was not charged. Should that be the worse customer service criticism you have of RJL I would say that the one star is a melodramatic. It sounds like you are very angry over this situation. How would you have handled it?
As far as the misappropriated comment in light of "vaporware" about our site (not sight). The state of North Carolina Division of Health Services purchased from RJL Technology Integration $220,437.27 worth of Topaz Sig Lite LCD Signature Terminals. The reason your order was not fulfilled is because we had an impasse with Topaz. An impasse that is now resolved and happened the same day you ordered the product.Secondly Topaz has also asked us to no longer to sell to anyone who is not a clear end user. There was no way to determine that you are not a reselling this product as your company has a gmail address and no website.
Should you need anything else please look elsewhere.

The only place for barcode scanners
I have been buying from a company for 5 years that was charging us double what RJL technologies does for the same products. They were never really knowledgeable nor did they ever care that product was dead on arrival. RJL is our go to for our handhelds and printers. Great service and always direct answer. Thank you Val!
