Having been concerned about my once thick and full head of hair, becoming thinner all over, I was recommended to go to Wil at Root Cause Clinical by a friend who had similar issues. After completing a thorough and in-depth questionnaire (take the time to do this properly as it is so important for the consultation), I had an appointment to go over these details and for Wil to look microscopically at my hair.
Wil took time to explain everything he was doing, checked back with the details in the questionnaire and fully explained the options open to me. Whilst I am still deciding the best course of action for me, I would highly recommend the clinic. There are many different options available to you and, whilst I only had the initial investigation, I was impressed with how professionally everything was handled, and feel confident that they have helped me find a solution to resolve the issues with my hair.

I went into my appointment feeling really worried and insecure about the recent thinning of my hair. However as soon as I sat down and listened to what Wil had to say my mind was eased right away. It was made very clear from the beginning that Wil was an expert and he addressed all of my concerns in a simple way that made it easy to understand. He provided me with a diagnosis, possible causes of my hair thinning, and products to help with my dermatitis. By the end of the consultation I felt not only relieved but also highly informed. Would highly recommend Root Cause to anyone feeling worried about their hair.

I walked into the salon feeling very insecure and worried about my protracted hair loss problems. However, the consultation with Will helped me feel relaxed and at ease. Will patiently went through my records, scanned my scalp and explained the pictures as well as the diagnosis. I was lucky enough to have a online class seminar with Will in my college before Christmas.Will was Amazing and had a vast range of knowledge about scalp disorders,the cause and effects of these and how to treat or advise clients according to their concerns.I feel I gained a better understanding and knowledge of these concerns on order to educate my clients or recommend particular treatment plans.Also an insight into giving a better consultation when treating a client with these concerns.Trichology is a subject I am interested in gaining greater knowledge in and im grateful to Will and Victoria for their time for this introduction to Trichology. The kind and capable consultants at Root Cause Clinical managed to provide the only patient-centered and evidence based assessment of my scalp affliction that I received in over a year of constant in-person visits with US providers, and they did it remotely, via video consult from overseas! They took a thorough account of my medical history, my current situation, studied the photos I’d taken with a Woods Lamp type machine I purchased in desperation after having been gaslit by countless biased American clinicians—none of whom could even be bothered to glance at the pictures. Unfortunately, I had not yet had my genome sequenced at the time, but I even noticed that they did have a spot for that information should the client choose to provide it. By contrast, none of the doctors or nurses here seemed to be even vaguely aware of the significance of genomics in medical diagnoses and treatment. In fact, they did not care to consider any of the above—my medical history, present complaints, evidence-based diagnostic testing—and made their judgments solely from preconceived notions derived from inaccurate, shared provider notes and assumptions based on my appearance and stereotypical stigma. So, to this day, I have yet to receive treatment for the horrific affliction that has scarred my entire neck and more, but to their credit, the qualified individuals at Root Cause Clinical made a strong, positive impression on me and gave me hope that healthcare is only a shameful sham here in the U.S., and that perhaps one day providers in other developed nations can show them the way to redemption.

Wil was friendly and easy to talk to. I enjoyed being able to do the consultation online as it saved me a lot of money on travel and accommodation etc. My Trichologist was very informative with options but did not push me into anything unnecessary. Would recommend to anyone who is struggling with their hair!
