Hotel room nice , but very disappointed that the restaurant and bar were not open for the duration of the visit especially on first night after long journey. Trip to Paris and Versailles gardens good. Good coach drivers but getting in and out of hotel was extremely tight for coach with very little room to manoeuvre especially when van parked opposite. Worse part was delay at Calais with two hour wait at passport control causing us to miss ferry and consequently other coaches in our swap over group also missing ferries which led to long wait at STOP24 waiting for all the coaches to arrive to link up for homeward journey.

We had inexperienced coach drivers who didn’t really know where they were going. Two whole days of a four day weekend were spent travelling. I would never travel with Shearings again.

The hotel was comfortable but the rooms were very hot. We had to ask for some breakfast items to be replenished they were not done automatically and had wait for bowls etc to be brought out. The hotel restaurant and bar was closed the entire weekend ? The hotel was a long way from Paris centre. Sheerings do not advise any times (even estimated) of the offered itinerary which made it impossible to plan our weekend properly.

Upgraded hotel only to find on arrival on the Friday night that bar and restaurant are not open on weekends. Bus drivers very stressed, so much so they refused to take us on the Paris by night tour because it wasn’t dark when we came out of the restaurant even though we’d paid for this as an additional excursion. Told us to complain to Shearings if we didn’t like it. Won’t ever be booking with Shearings again.

Most of the weekend was very good,the one exception was the trip to Versailles because we could not get to see in the palace. Our two drivers / guides Lee and Neil went out of there way to help everyone as much as was possible and their knowledge of Paris and the roads was very commendable,not to mention their driving, which was exceptional to the letter.

Badly organised.Hotel restaurant closed at weekends.Everywhere closed on Sundays.Trip to Versailles dissapointing as couldn’t get in the house as sold out.Nowhere much to go as all shut.Should have been told we could have pre- booked tickets.We arrived so late on the Friday and couldn’t get a meal anywhere.Had to queue for 3hrs to go up Eiffel Tower which also could have been pre booked.Very frustrating.

Was a lovely trip but to be honest the coach journey was far too long in getting there and we weren’t well informed about anything in the hotel for instance they didn’t cater for us to have an evening meal on the Sunday so we had to find our own restaurant but wasn’t informed and if we hadn’t of asked what time the meal starts we wouldn’t have been any the wiser, personally I did find the coach drivers very kind and apologetic, but it could of been better.

Didn't help because of the riots and strikes piles of rubbish in the streets that stunk disgusting, lots of buildings covered in scaffolding for renovation due to the olympics. Overall a very disappointing experience for our 40th wedding anniversary. On the plus side novotel reuil malmaison was excellent. Coach drivers very friendly and did an excellent job.

No food available at hotel Sunday evening, breakfast on Monday morning unsubstantial, driver’s uninformed about getting into palace of Versailles so6hours to kill as we had to have prebooked tickets to get in.
