The are scammers, my fiancé booked a service and never received it, I could write a lot but you can scroll and read negative reviews and I can tell it's true people experience with this company.
Please dont suggest the date of experience as is not correct

Very helpful, windows look great. Booked outside clean but generously cleaned a few inside windows at no added cost 😊

They are a scam, they take payment upfront and then you keep on chasing the will find excuses to cancel. They first did it in Milton Keynes and seems like moved to Northampton

This is a pretend company with fake pos rêvews. Their real business is to scam potential customers by talking payment upfront with no refund policy.

£27 for a single window clean is already expensive, but having to pay another company to actually do the work makes it worse. Their own website even tries to justify the alarming amount of poor reviews and says they are 'fake' — these are not fake reviews, just people that have had the same experience as us!

In my opinion, this is a cowboy operation. If I could leave zero stars, I would.

!!!!Do not book with this business or pay anything upfront!!!! They take the payment and then find many excuses for not coming to deliver the services. The guy on the phone reads the same script every time and keeps promising they will come the next day. I tried to play by their rules and keep re-booking on their website as their cancellation email advises but I now realise it is all part of their facade to look legitimate.

Scamming con artist. Has scammed many customers in the area. Asks for upfront payment and then never arrives or cancels. Tries to rearrange few times hoping you will cancel on him. In which they have designed their policy to not refund. The clown is a joke. He runs away scared. This man scams elderly people. I never got a refund from
This idiot. I had two friends book him to see the outcome and he did the same scams with them too.

Thinking of booking an appointment? Don't.
We have now had four missed appointments.
The first, both cleaners were ill, we recieved no phone call regarding this. Fair enough, we're all ill- we understood and rescheduled. There was an email to state they were ill so we rang to rearrange.
The second appointment did not occur due to rain. I must admit we were skeptical at this point. There was only a two hour slot of rain that day. Again, we rang up and rearranged, with reservations, for this Monday. This time, no phone call, no email- we rang up to rearrange.

Monday-Surprise, suprise- again a no show. No phone call, no email. Again we rang up and were told we had got the wrong date. Simply not the case as we had to get the windows cleaned by this Wednesday. We were told the appointment had been scheduled for today (Thursday).
Thursday- no phone call, no email, no window cleaners.
In summary, don't waste your time and money booking this service. As others have said, they will take your money and simply not turn up.
We will take steps now to get out money back- don't be caught out as we were.

Edit- after shining windows reply. I think it is important to provide further clarification.
1. 2 weeks no contact- shining windows provided no emails scheduling dates and did not ring. I look forward to proof they did. Indeed, when I did ring up after two weeks. I was thanked for being courteous. A glaring discrepancy between what has been reported.
2.The simple reason I knew the content of the email was because it was text to me, alongside a torrent of abuse. The dated screenshots for this can be provided as evidence if needed.
3. In this email. I was called petulant, and told to set a better example for my family. Stating the truth, seems a fairly good example to me. Insults ,after a customer has written an honest review, says alot and I imagine could be called petulant.
I was given a new date for the window clean via text on the day of the appointment ( Friday 8.28 with shining windows stating they would turn up on this day 9am). Reasonable- I think not? Indeed, I cancelled the appointment as I was not in and for the simple reason I had recieved some abusive, unprofessional messages from the company. Again, all dated text messages with time stamps can be provided.
The abusive phone calls from myself is simply an outright lie. Take a moment to look on Trust Pilot. Could it really be the case that 25% of shining windows reviews are from abusive, lying customers. Or is it more likely it is shining windows that are at fault? Indeed, when you look at the comments from the business I imagine you will see a common pattern.

Straight on the phone to get your payment but doesn’t show up to carry out the service his been paid for!

I regret that I did not read reviews prior to booking and paying in advance. It seems this approach is part of a strategy to engage clients, only to repeatedly cancel or reschedule appointments until customers become frustrated and cancel themselves.
This allows them to then cite a policy, stating that a 14-day notice is required for a refund.

I made the full payment for a cleaning service on February 19th, scheduled for February 24th. However, the service was continually rescheduled, and I was eventually informed that my appointment would take place on March 7th—after I had been actively seeking updates.

Once again, I am being informed that no refund will be issued because I am the one canceling the service. This is an extremely frustrating and unsatisfactory situation.

Quick and courteous response. Very helpful and pricing made clear up front and referenced their website. Due to appalling weather had to cancel first appt. Rescheduled for a Sunday as house was being photoed for sale. Very cold and still rainy but they came and did an excellent job. Was very impressed they came on a Sunday so I was not disappointed. Would recommend.

Was looking for a 1 off inside/outside window clean,soft wash to front of property and a small lean to roof clean. All required within 8 working days (before putting on market) .Reached out to Matt on Saturday via their booking system. As the leanto and front soft wash wasn't all of front , Matt rang me back within the hour to discusss exactly what was required so he could quote quickly. Price agreed ( very reasonable ) and accepted and booked for following tuesday. Sadly tuesday was rainy but he was aware of my date restrictions and after a 5 day wait he managed to fit me in .Matt and Cass arrived on time very friendly people during the next 3hrs and with on/ off drizzle the windows are now truly shining. The painted brickwork at the front of the house cleaned up really,really well with Matt's ministrations. My experience was that they were polite,proffessional and know their stuff. Thankyou Shining Windows the house looks really good.

Shining windows- a shining example of what a quality service should look like. Matt and Cass provided one of the most personable customer experiences I have ever encountered. They went above and beyond. Not only doing brilliant job with cleaning windows and guttering, but also fixed my guttering that had broken and helped to replace a panel that had fallen off the side.

When I first contacted Matt, he gave me free advice about getting rid of mould that I had been experiencing due to the gutter pipe being dislodged. Instantly, I felt that he genuinely cared as I explained that I didn’t want it to affect my young daughter. He took his time to talk through the steps I need to take to avoid damp from spreading. This was before I had even booked an appointment.

When Matt and Cass arrived, I can’t explain it but I just felt as though they genuinely cared about my situation almost like a relative popping over to help. Very polite, extremely helpful and friendly, they are just great people.

Matt and Cathy did a great job cleaning our windows and sills. Matt even cleaned our roof lights which were very dirty!

Matt had to cancel our appointment the t twice through circumstances beyond his control and we had to chase up to re-arrange, which is why they didn't get five stars.
On site they did a brilliant job on the windows, gutters and facia boards, brining the back to life after a long period or no cleaning and the house being empty for a couple of years...

Unfortunately, I didn't check the reviews before booking this service, which required advance payment. I'm honestly surprised by the five-star ratings, though even those mention "hiccups"! Here’s our story of incomplete service with Matthew:

Attempt 1: September 27 – No show, citing "bad weather and daughter unwell."
Attempt 2: October 11 – Arrived four hours late, informed us that our windows needed additional algae removal treatment. Although we agreed to pay for it, he left because it was "too late in the day to complete the job".
Attempt 3: October 12 – No show again, this time because "the gas engineer and oven man" at his house were delayed.
Attempt 4: October 13 – Arrived three hours late, citing "fibromyalgia". Cleaned only half the windows, claiming he needed the extra payment for the algae treatment upfront, which he hadn’t clarified before. Rather than ask us directly, he chose to leave the job unfinished. When confronted, he went on a rant about "chargebacks, dishonest reviews (!!!), and needing this work to feed his kids".
Attempt 5: October 21 – We paid for the fee (upfront of course!) and after a week of multiple reminders, he cancelled again, claiming delays with "the gas engineer for gas safety" at his property.
Attempt 6: October 26 – Showed up but left due to "bad weather," promising to return the next day.
Attempt 7: October 27 – Never arrived and didn’t respond to any messages.

When I texted to explain that this situation was getting stressful and asked for the windows to be completed before my due date (in two weeks) or for a refund, he responded: “Your number has been blocked; it's a window cleaning service, and we don’t accept involvement like this in your life. We have our own lives." An ironic statement, given the personal reasons he'd used for previous delays.

Well done, Matthew. This was certainly a new experience in poor service – and paid in advance, no less!

Excellent job. Matthew is very thorough and ensures every window is spotless before moving yo the next.
Matthew also cleaned my solar panels and removed all the lichen. They too are now spotless and improved the efficiency of each panel.

THEN PHONES ME AN HOUR LATE AND SAYS HE WILL BE 20 MINUTES SO I SAID, NO I CANT NOW AS PREVIOUSLY AGREED. THEN I ASKED FOR A REFUND. I WAS TOLD TO F OFF!!!! I TRIED TO CALL BACK AND WAS GIVEN MORE ABUSE AND ATTITUDE.

HIS EMAIL BACK WAS SO MANIPULATIVE AND GASLIGHTING. MAKING OUT I WAS THE ABUSIVE ONE! SEE BELOW REVIEWS. IM CLEARLY NOT ALONE
