Excellent service from start to finish
Excellent service from start to finish. Packed all house say before and moved the next day. Dismantled bed and put them up I. The new house. Couldn’t recommend enough
Absolutely rubbish!
Do not use! 2 grumpy east Europeans who basically didn't want to do the job, bitched and moaned throughout whole process then surcharged me £76 for all the "extra " work they had to do. Never again!
Do not use- ROGUE TRADER
This company is still trading, they quoted me this morning using simply removals headed email, and pdf, from email sales@ simplyremovals.biz
WARNING DO NOT USE!!!!
This is a ROGUE TRADER.
The director is also committing fraud and seriously misconduct.
Do not use, Do not use, Do not use, Do not use
Thought a lot of them initially...error
Thought a lot of them at the quote stage - error.
Paid for a full packing service - some things were not packed and the delivery men left lots of things back at the old house.
Most annoying though is the full bottle of perfume that has disappeared. Strange as I carefully packed it to one side with my other bottles. Called to complain and am still waiting for a response/resolution....
Don’t use. Clearly can’t provide a basic service and assure that all of your items make it from A to B.
They have NOT gone into liquidation
They have NOT gone into liquidation, they are lying. You can check this at their listing with Companies House. The guy who owns this company trades the same business under a dozen different names, which are not registered. He also runs the company whilst living in Spain and returning once a month. My girlfriend had a box with jewellery, designer sunglasses and assorted other expensive items go missing (the only box, that was in the one truck with all the others.) Messages left, but no answer and the police were contacted who said they would contact the company and investigate. Next day the box was miraculously found and then left in a hallway in her apartment block. When they arrived at the apartments, which they knew they were going to, they said that it was too much work to get the stuff to the flat and demanded an extra £250 to deliver. They then drove away and subsequently charged three days storage fee till the blackmail fee was paid. I wish we had checked here first before engaging them.
DO NOT USE these con artists
DO NOT USE these con artists
Are fully aware their staff are theiving damaging *****! And they continue to fully support this! Their insurance is worthless and their insurance brokers will help them get out paying you a penny.
They have stolen countless from customers, pads, money, jewellery, alcohol, power tools, phones anything that is not bolted down they will take!!
The directors are fully aware!!!!! They couldn't care less!!!!!
SIMPlLY REMOVALS has gone into liquidation but their website still remains and although the number on their website is answered simply home moves it IS still the same crooks!!!!!

DO NOT EVER USE SIMPLY REMOVALS
I had 2 visits from Marcus the salesman for Simply Removals and emphasised the value and pefect condition of my goods. He quoted for extra protective wrappings and assured us that they would take the greatest of care. what happened afterwards could not be further from the truth.
I would not use them under any circumstances and most strongly advise anyone moving not to do so either. if anything goes wrong they are uncontactable as are their insurance brokers. in fact their insurance cover is hardly worth the paper it is written on - if they damage your goods you will only be offered a reduced amount irrespective of condition; in fact they don't even come to look at the damage or original condition.
The National Guild of Removers and Storers are a waste of time as they are not interested.
Short story - DO NOT EVER USE SIMPLY REMOVALS
Simply Scam artists if you ask me
Simply Scam artists if you ask me. Apparently gone into liquidation, however, they are still trading under the same name, telephone numbers and email addresses.
My advice, pay a little bit more and get a proper reputable company, with the proper insurance in place, and leave Simply removals well alone
claiming LIQUIDATION falsely
Upsetting & stressful experience. When I tried to retrieve some of my money they falsely announced they had GONE INTO LIQUIDATION. This is untrue as another company are now using their name and website.
The removal men (only two arrived when I paid an extra £150 for three) were abusive & rude to us, crashing our possessions around with no care. They then became very nasty at the end & it turns out they are self employed. They took some bolts from our furniture with them so we cannot put it together. Various possessions also damaged, awful that they have taken our money & run. Be ashamed of yourselves Simply Removals; you have made our start in our new home a bad one.

Had my stuff in storage with them and…
Had my stuff in storage with them and when it came back I had numerous broken, water damaged, and missing items. In fact the people returning the items damged my American Fridge freezer and scratched my brand new floor in front of my eyes. The supposed packed items were mainly thrown into a box with no wrapping. I spoke to them on the phone and was told to contact customer services with pictures which I did. Customer service response was Simply Removals went into liquidation nothing to do with us we are a different company we were asked to move the stuff. Strangely I did point out that all the staff I had spoken to at the "different company" were the Simply Removals staff on the same phone numbers. I was told that I was mistaken and they were the new companies staff, I pointed out that I had been speaking to the same staff for several months, the response was silence. They said I would have to go to the liquidator to try and recover any compensation, and i asked why as I had taken out the expensive insurance cover from Simply Removals to cover my intems while being transported and in storage. The response was we know nothing about insurance contact the national Association of Movers. I asked when they had gone into liquidation and was told a few days ago. So far I have found nothing online about them going into liquidation.
Broken items, no replies and gone into liquidation
We recently used Simply Removals for our move, and up until the move date the experience was very good. We booked the packing service as well and the guys seemed to be very efficient and quick. The delivery the day after was ok, although they did stain and dent a couple of things. It all seemed a little rushed. It wasn’t until we unpacked all the boxes that we saw how they managed to pack everything so quickly. Everything we owned was more or less tossed into the boxes with little or no protection. It’s down to pure luck and short moving distance that not more things broke during transit. Since the move I have contacted them several times to complain about the broken and damaged items, only to get an auto reply. Today I ran out of patience and called them, only to discover that they have gone into liquidation! Total lies on auto replying to my emails, total silence about them going bust. I can only imagine we are some of the lucky ones, at least we completed our move. Despicable behaviour and disrespect to their paying client to not even have the curtesy to contact us with information!
Avoid them if you don't want to waste your money
Left my wardrobes and trampoline dismantled and blamed me for insufficient time. As if that was not enough, they lied that another team would come back to finish the work.
DREADFUL AND ABYSMAL SERVICE
TERRRIBLE/ABYSMAL/DREADFUL just a few words to describe Simply Removals. I would not use this service again or recommend it to anyone.
My initial contact was positive with the Sales team. I had conversations and sent them photos and videos and their initial quote went up by £60 which I felt was fair and they also matched the storage price of another company which was when I signed up to use them.
On the day of removal they didn't provide the wardrobe boxes I had requested. I contacted them and received no reply until the following day stating I hadn't mentioned this before and they couldn't help me. I was due to move out of my home that day and had to move my clothing to a neighbours home. Total humiliation and embarrassment. I phoned on a daily basis and it was 4 days before they agreed to provide the storage boxes and remove into storage at 11am the following day. That was joke on the day nobody turned up.. Several phone calls later and the wardrobe boxes turned up at 3pm and the removal van at 4.45pm!!
When I phoned to arrange the move out of storage. They sent me a invoice doubling the price. I queried this and they said my property wouldn't fit into one vehicle because it would be overweight. They initially had told me they dealt in volume not weight. I did not have the usual kitchen white goods as integrated and built in wardrobes so could not understand the increase. I argued this as they had not informed me of a possible increase in price at any time. they said they had to use 2 vans and charge me twice. my suggestion to use a larger van was met with the statement it would cost more than 2 vans. I was not happy but had to pay as I wanted my property back.
On the day of getting my property back out of storage. The vans turned up 4 hours apart but without wardrobe boxes. I complained and a few days later I got an email stating they had located my property. when I contacted them to arrange the return. they couldn't do it for another 2 weeks.
Throughout this process I found it very difficult dealing with them especially Sales.
Do not use
Do not use. Sent a small van which couldn't take all my stuff, after many phone calls i made, they either didn't answer or didn't return my calls, they eventually told me there was no one available to pick up the rest of the things, my family then came to the rescue. The office just didn't care, accusing me of not being honest about the amount of furniture i had and saying the situation was my fault. I paid for a dismantle and reassemble of my wardrobes, this didn't happen either. The removal men were very nice but are self employed and are told by the office what to do, so my other pick up obviously wasn't worth it to either them or the company. I spoke to the removal men both working at my house and the other men moving the new owners in, they all said there are many problems on the removal days although mine was the mist serious.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY HAVE LOST EVERYTHING! I USED SIMPLY REMOVALS IN 2018 AND ASKED THEM TO STORE MY BELONGINGS AS I WAS GUTTING MY NEW HOUSE. I WENT BACK FOR MY THINGS 12 MOTNHS LATER ONLY TO BE TOLD THEY HAD LOST EVERYTHING. MY GOODS WERE NEVER LOGGED TO IN TO THE WAREHOUSE - NOW WITH THE POLICE AS I BELIEVE MY THINGS WERE STOLEN BY THE REMOVAL MEN.
DO NOT USE!!!
DO NOT USE!!!! Terrible experience. Blatant thieves, had personal effects stolen and could not provide details of staff identity to police when challenged. The staff provided are Cheap Eastern European labour with no spoken English. Avoid like the plague.
Thank you Liam and Fraser
We used Simply Removals a few weeks ago for a full pack, move to storage then back out to our new build house with very few issues. The packing service was very good and done quickly but the boxes could have been labelled a bit better. The move to their own storage was efficient and done the day before completion of our old house so we had time to clean and tidy up and take stuff to our Airbnb. On delivery to our brand new house 2 weeks later the guys covered all of our carpets before they unloaded then put everything back into the house, there were a few boxes in the wrong rooms as we had an extra bedroom but not a major issue. We had a couple of minor breakages (a cup and picture glass) but they were things that we packed ourselves.
All together we had a very good experience with Simply and can recommend to others.
I would like to thank Liam and Fraser in the office for putting up with me constantly changing dates due to the builders not finishing our house on time . I won’t be leaving such a positive review for the developers but that’s another story.
very Nice guys👍
After reading so many negative reviews I was quite worried about booking Simply Removals for our 2nd move with them in 2 years to Edinburgh but Kieran in the office assured me that I would have a dedicated lorry and crew to carry out my move. We had a nice new truck and 3 very nice guys (2 from our previous move with them)arrived on time and loaded our 4 bedroom house very quickly. There were loaded before 12pm and we were able to clean our house before handing keys to the estate agent. The guys arrived at 10am the next morning in Scotland as arranged and promptly unloaded and re assembled all of our beds. Altogether we had a very pleasant experience from initial contact to the end of the move so wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Simply to our friends who are moving up here in a few months time.
Listen to the reviews - DO NOT USE
Took £270 fraudulently from my account last week - I wasn’t going to complain because it was so stressful dealing with this company, I was in tears it was that bad, sometimes you have to walk away but after they took additional funds when they shouldn’t even keep your details on file I couldn’t let it go.
When I engaged Simply Removals - I expected them to:
a) remove the goods that they quoted me for. They did not.
b) arrive in the vehicle that they quoted me for. They did not.
c) deliver my property undamaged to my new property. They did not.
d) take away all the stress for me as I am pregnant with twins. They did not.
This is what happened:
a) our front door is on the first floor, but our flat is spread across the second floor and third. The removal team were instantly unhappy on arrival at our property. I had mentioned this very clearly to Fraser, the incompetent sales rep.
b) the van the team arrived in was smaller than quoted. A small 7.5” box van. This would not fit the large items that were quoted for. In their one size fits all matrix pricing model. Therefore we had to leave them behind at the property because they could not fulfil this part of the service. The furniture left behind cost in excess of £5k.
c) The team were packing the boxes - with what I describe as small as shoe boxes - and leaving them half empty. I assume a tactic for them to make extra money. I don’t believe a metal sieve needs wrapping with paper four times and bubble wrapping. This could have been stacked inside 5 other non breakable metal mixing bowls. But those 6 items alone took up 3 boxes. 3!!!!! It is therefore clearly inevitable that 40 boxes was not going to be enough for a three bedroom flat and thus meaning that there is inevitably not enough space on the not already big enough van for said half empty boxes.
d) we called to ask what was going to happen about the wrong van being sent. They quoted us an additional £500 for a second van to be sent. Completely not accepting that they had done anything wrong. As they did not take the large furniture and as the boxes they supplied were shoe boxes - yes we used extra boxes. One would imagine this was a clear swap for the large items that they quoted to take but couldn’t because they sent the wrong van.
e) we paid the men £500 in cash to do an additional run because the van they sent was too small and we were desperate. A cost that we bore to mop up the mess that they had created and refused to sort. This included additional things like plants and the boxes that couldn’t fit on the too small a van that was sent to do the job. This company then thinks it is acceptable to charge me an additional £270 for materials.
f) after they had ripped me off I called the customer service team. The agent was shouting down the phone at me and gave me incorrect advice about their complaints procedure which completely contradicted what it states on their website - I then asked how long it would take to investigate my case to which she responded with and I quote “how long is a piece of string” a very professional attitude!!!!
In later email communications this rep said that she questioned my integrity and the account of what actually occurred that day, and mentioned about 4 times how often they dealt with unhappy customers!!!! I don't doubt it!!!!!
PLEASE PLEASE AVOID - you will lose your mind and your sanity with this company. I can’t believe they get away with it.
