On 3 April 2025, we agreed to pay £182 (inc. VAT) for a diagnostic check on our Citroën Cactus to identify why the AC wasn’t working. We brought the car in on 8 May, and again it was clearly confirmed that this fee would cover the diagnostic and explanation of the fault.

Instead, two days later, we received:

An unsolicited video summarising the general condition of the vehicle (which we never requested),
A list of proposed repairs totalling around £3,000, none of which relate to the AC issue,
And a demand for an additional £350 to complete the diagnostic — with the implication that we must pay the £182 (or extra for complete diagnostic) or they will not release the vehicle.
This seems like a bait-and-switch tactic and a clear breach of contract. We paid for a specific service, and we are not getting what was agreed upon.

After some research, we found other customers reporting similar experiences with this business. Is this the kind of service we want in our community?

In the past 14 months, I have owned an Citroën ami that I purchased new from Citroën. Despite having less than 2000 miles on the vehicle, I have encountered numerous issues from the very beginning that have yet to be resolved. Despite numerous visits to Citroën, the problems persist, including various water leaks that have penetrated the car, necessitating additional visits to Citroën. Unfortunately, despite these repeated attempts, the issues remain unresolved, and even on my most recent visit, Citroën refused to take the car for repairs. As a result, the customer service representative offered to repurchase the car for £2000.
One word - APPALLING-
