Every thing from start to finish was organised and run so professionally. We were impressed with every member of staff that we dealt with, and couldn't recommend Strakers highly enough.

I bought a property in Devizes through Strakers some years ago. Since then, there have been a number of occasions where I have sought the advice of their staff. I have always found them polite, honest, good-humoured and helpful, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone buying, selling or renting property in the area.

Strakers are an estate agent and have a job to do. Ultimately they are working for their client. However as a buyer the experience is terrible. Strakers advertise property with the line of "guide price" or "offers in excess of" which turns out is just to get people through the door ( that's what the seller told me) but the actual price will be much higher. This according to other sources is quite poor practice so be warned. During the buying process you are allocated someone to help through the purchase. We found these people rude and underhanded. Despite advising them of the status of our own sale, they clearly didn't believe us and started phoning our estate agent & solicitor trying to get information to corroborate what we had told them. This was whilst our sale going smoothly whilst they still hadn't gotten answers to a number of questions which was the only thing delaying the sale. When we eventually got the keys it turned out there was a number of things the seller had told them to advise us but they failed to pass on the message. Fortunately it is unlikely I will move for a long time, but this is a warning to use them at your own risk.

Strakers provided accurate and helpful information on the property, arranged viewings rapidly on request, answered all queries satisfactorily, and helped to ensure completion by the required date. All the staff we dealt with either face to face or on the 'phone were courteous, helpful, and provided the required information without prejudice or unwanted pressure.

They continually sent different people to show prospective buyers around who gave wrong information, or didn't know the answers to questions. Also someone left our house wide open (back gate and door open - not even just unlocked).
We ended up doing the viewings ourself and guess what - then the house sold.

Strakers were fab at selling our property, but offered little or no support or communication to us but only to our buyers during the whole process. Not quite what you expect from an estate agents acting on your behalf. Would not use again.
Note: on one of the rare occasions Strakers engaged, we were also asked by Strakers to contribute towards the rent of someone who was in our chain.

Strakers have been consistently reliable to our family over several years, both selling and renting. Excellent knowledge of the local market.

Friendly, helpful staff

Strakers sold my house very quickly, with minimum fuss. They were supportive throughout.

They were very professional, handled everything for us and achieved a good price.

Having never sold a property at auction before I was a little apprehensive but Charlie and the whole team helped me throughout the whole process... always professional and accessible, finding answers quickly to my many queries. I wouldn't hesitate to use Strakers again.

Communication during the purchase of our house was 10/10. Cody, Rosemary and Vicki were friendly and extremely helpful from the start. I wouldn’t think twice about using them in the event that we would sell our house.

These guys have been amazing! We have dealt with many agencies recently and experienced a lack of communication and treated just as a number. Karen and the team at Strakers have been a delight to work with, updates given when promised, quick decisions made and no messing around or left waiting. I’m so glad we found our new home with them, would 100% recommend!

What a wonderful group of people. Karen, Mark, Dee, Charlie and all the others at Strakers were so generous with their time and commitment to offer my Year 10 daughter a week of work experience across their branches and various facets to give her a really enriching and enjoyable few days. She was welcomed in and everyone she had the pleasure of working with was warm, friendly, supportive and knowledgeable. If this approach manifests itself in how they do business on a day to level then I would thoroughly recommend using them.

Charlie was quite helpful. Courtney was supportive. We had a great positive experience purchasing through the auction team.

Following a shaky start the visit to the property was just excellent. The Co representative was knowledgeable and helpful in a non intrusive way and we liked her honesty and the little insights she shared.
