Prompt Effective Service on a May Bank Holiday
Discovered our house had a fully blocked sewer drain at around 2pm on May 2026 bank holiday Sunday. Contacted the Severn Trent emergency helpline in the late afternoon. The call was picked up immediately with a promise of an on-site response within 24 hours (it actually took 17). A text then confirmed that. The Severn Trent engineer, Mr Peter Tyson, called 15 minutes before his bank holiday Monday morning arrival, as promised. He carried out his on-site problem analysis efficiently and professionally. He also effectively explained what he was doing to fix the problem at each stage. After some hard physical work, he had to escalate to a water jet to successfully clear the blockage. He then further investigated the pipework using a camera. To prevent obvious pipe mis-alignments causing the same problem again, he has recommend a lining be fitted by Severn Trent.
We were completely satisfied with the excellent service and professional support we received from Severn Trent and especially the on-site engineer, Mr Steven Tyson, over the 2026 May bank holiday weekend.

It's not often that I give the highest…
It's not often that I give the highest praise to a company, especially their workers. But this morning was the exception. Severn Trent Water turned up at our site (Recreation Field in Weston Rhyn) to look at the possibility of working on a serious leak on the adjacent road. Their employee , Mr William Dean was one of the most professional men I have had the honour to deal with. He really knew his stuff (so to speak) but in such a way that let me and my colleague know what was needed. Very courteous and extremely knowledgeable on the work required. If only we had this type of professionalism from other companies, which for me rarely exists now . Thank-you Severn Trent Water and especially your super employee Mr William Dean.

From 1st May reported a burst water…
From 1st May reported a burst water main that impacted our property. Severn Trent came out promptly to resolve. Went away for bank holiday to return to drain blocked issue at our property. James Perrett has spent time this morning investigating the cause through various inspection hole covers. The team ( HQ also) responded very quickly and all seems back to normal. Thank you.
