SMS did a great job in finding me 2 mortgages for 1 property (a Let to Buy Mortgage on my current home and a residential mortgage on my new home. Emma my adviser did everything she could to over come all the obstacles that the lenders randomly put in our way! It was a bit of a slog for the LTB mortgage for various reasons but Emma didn't give up and was incredibly hardworking every step of the way. She also has an incredibly cheerful and upbeat nature and an encyclopedic knowledge of the mortgage market. She secured a great value mortgage for me and I would thoroughly recommend her and everybody else at SMS.

The entire team at SMS is just awesome. The kind of professionalism and friendly behaviour Russell, Emma, Paula, Alison and Pam exhibited through the months we are associated with them, is just incredible and commendable. Thanks to them, we sailed through our property mortgage application and insurance needs very smoothly. They are an absolutely fantastic team to get financial services from. We would recommend them to everyone.

Myself and GF Sam, used SMS/Emma for our “first time buyer” mortgage application in March.

Throughout the process, Emma was excellent, she was very helpful with the many questions we had and was always careful to sit and take time to explain why one option wasn’t working and another maybe a better option.

The ladies in the office are always so welcoming and friendly, it makes any feeling of pressure or stress that much easier to handle as you know they’re working hard for you!

Emma personally, was always available for us in the office and by phone, even though she had many other clients and ongoing family commitments, she would still give us that quick call or email to make sure we knew what was happening.

Sorry this review has taken so long, but thanks to you guys we’ve moved into our first home now and are finally realising a dream.

Exceptional service from Russell and Paula! I agree with all the previous comments and would highly recommend SMS. Despite difficult circumstances, I had two mortgage applications submitted and approved within a very short period of time. Aside from doing a great job, the team genuinely cares about their clients! I literally cannot rate the service I received from Russell and the team at Sussex Mortgages any higher. As a first time buyer, and having a complex case (i work outside the UK) I was a little green and honestly overwhelmed by all of the information / requirements and procedures it takes to get a mortgage. Russell has a very personal approach, he explains everything in "real English" and genuinely wants to get you the best deal and to make sure you are comfortable and happy at every stage of the process.
