Great service by Tring and Mr Tack
BMW Tring has been brilliant throughout the whole process, from sourcing a demo car and giving me an extended test drive, through to delivery six months later. A big thanks to the whole team there.

Fantastic purchase of a new BMW
I recently purchased a new BMW from Sytner in Tring. This was one of the most straightforward and efficient car purchases I have made. The customer service was fantastic. Specific highlights - car ready to test drive when I needed it to be, rapidly getting to a cost to change - usually this takes over an hour, in Tring it just took 20mins, car delivered to my home, my personal number plates were provided pre drilled (1st time this has happened in over 30yrs of car buying!), new car provided to me within 3 days of my initial enquiry. Overall an excellent experience.

Disappointing sales practise !
Saw a used late X1 in mid May and placed a deposit on the car. I was told that the car had a BMW brake safety recall outstanding, and this should be complete by the end of May to enable the car to be delivered.
The end of May came and went, with Sytner saying the parts had not arrived.
After another two weeks , and being told that the parts had been dispatched, I asked for a firm date the car could actually be delivered.
I was finally told they still could not tell me.
After five weeks I lost patience , being told various different stories with nothing actually happening. I asked for my deposit to be returned so I could purchase a car from elsewhere.
What I don’t understand is how Sytner can advertise and take a deposit on a car that they have no idea when they can deliver !
Having spoken to another BMW dealer the problem with the brake defect is not just limited to the X1, it affects a number of late BMW cars. The other BMW dealer informed me the issue is well known ,and BMW still don’t know when the parts will be available to rectify the safety defect.
To add insult to injury, I had to keep chasing Sytner to refund my deposit.
Needless to say I won’t be buying a car from Sytner Tring anytime soon !

Best BMW repairs
I needed t get my rear bumper repaired, so I called BMW Sytner Tring and booked my car for repairs and it was the best I did they made the car look like brand new, Ryan from repair body shop couldn't of been nicer and answers any and all question I had and gave me good fair price. If I every need any work done on my car I will 100% go to BMW Sytner Tring/

Damaged car during first oil change
I bought a 218i Gran Coupe new from here less than 12 months ago. Took it in for its first oil change. After collecting it and whilst driving it home, within 5 miles, it emptied of oil, the warning light to stop immediately came on and the engine began rattling loudly.
The dealership are refusing to go any further than simply replacing the oil filter housing which they damaged during the oil change, despite further damage to the engine obviously occurring with the loud engine rattling and drastic loss of oil.
Considering the reply below from Sytner, there was no satisfactory resolution. So legal advice is now being explored.

Excellent Service - Happy Purchaser
Just picked up my new car today. Only right to mention the excellent service I received from BMW Tring and in particular Guvinder Singh. From start to finish, he sourced the car I wanted and then made the transaction incredibly seamless. No matter what the challenge or question, he was patient, addressing all concerns I had. Every question was answered and importantly, was answered very quickly which was great and gave so much confidence.
You don't often get great service these days, so when you do, only right to commend it. Well Done BMW Tring and Guvinder.

Continuing Great Service
Having purchased my vehicle from Sytner Tring (as Specialist Cars) I have continued to travel to use the dealers services as I’ve found them professional in all respects. I have found the staff to be friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and the work on my vehicle carried out to an excellent standard. My recent trip for an MOT resulted in an unexpected failure owing to tyre damage. I had little time to remedy the issue and get a retest however Sytner were accommodating in squeezing me in at the end of the day on Friday and waiting for me after I got the tyre fitted. In my experience Friday afternoons wouldn’t typical yield that kind of service so I would like to mention this and in particular Ben Saunders who organised this for me.

Poor customer care
We left ouri care just before 8.30am for a full service and MOT. Overall, the service overall poor, primarily due to lack of care from the servicing manager for our time, even after this was highlighted as important during the initial booking and we requested a timely update as to when the car would be ready. As this did not happen we ended up missing our late afternoon (important) meetings that we organised well in advance at a cost. The staff were superficially kind and appologised but the communication showed a genuine lack of interest and care. We shall think again before using this service, seems the local independents pay a lot more attention to customer care while offering the same service at a lower cost.
