AVOID BMW WOLVERHAMPTON AT ALL COSTS - LEFT IN LIMBO WITH A POSSIBLE CRASH-DAMAGED “APPROVED USED” CAR AND PRESSURED INTO PAYING OVER AND OVER
We bought a BMW 1 Series Approved Used from BMW Wolverhampton for £24,950 and were never told it might have had previous accident repairs. That only came out by accident later, during a repair for a broken door handle, when the service manager “Rosie” mentioned that the technician had removed the door card, said this was not a common fault and that it looked like it had been repaired before. That is not how you should find out about possible crash damage on a car sold as Approved Used.
We have a one year old child and relied on this car as a safe, properly checked main dealer purchase. To make it worse, they originally gave me insurance paperwork for the wrong courtesy car, a BMW 320i, and only corrected it when I challenged it. That is not just unprofessional, it raises serious questions about whether customers are even properly insured when they leave the site.
Instead of taking responsibility, they treated us like a walking card machine. £150 just for diagnostics, then £345 for 1.5 hours of labour, which is outrageous even for a “premium” brand, and then a £442.58 quote to repair the left passenger door mechanism. They tried to dress it up as a “Black Friday” offer at £375, which appears to be mostly labour and pennies for the part.
Meanwhile the car is stuck in limbo at the dealership, with no real resolution, just pressure to keep paying more to get our own car back in proper working order. For a main dealer to leave a family in this position, with questions over the car’s history, incorrect insurance paperwork and aggressive charges, is shocking.
In my view this is not acceptable for an Approved Used BMW or a franchised dealer. I am looking at my rights under the Consumer Rights Act and will be raising this with BMW UK and the relevant bodies. Personally, I would tell anyone reading this to avoid BMW Wolverhampton completely.
Wolverhampton Sytner – A Masterclass in Wasting Customers’ Time
I enquired about purchasing a car through their website and was contacted by a salesman from Sytner Wolverhampton. We discussed a potential part-exchange in detail, and I even went to the effort of sending photos of my vehicle as requested. The salesman assured me that a video of their car would be sent over shortly.
Instead, I received a call informing me that their car had been incorrectly listed without VAT — a detail they should have been fully aware of from the start. This kind of oversight is deeply unprofessional and shows a clear lack of attention to their own listings. Not only was my time wasted, but it also reflects poorly on the standards Sytner claims to uphold.

I recently visited Sytner BMW and was looked after by James Lloyd-Roberts and Jim Wilkes — and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From start to finish, they were professional, attentive, and made me feel truly valued as a customer. It was almost a “yes sir” level of service — nothing was too much trouble, and every detail was handled with care.
I ended up getting a great deal on a fantastic car, and the whole process was smooth and enjoyable. Thanks again to James and Jim for making the experience so positive. Highly recommended!

Very poor service
Very poor service, they are only bothered about new sales. I gave my car for a health check, receive a call to say ready to collect, get there after an hour had to wait for 30 mins as it's getting washed. Want to speak to a manger regarding this, they are busy and will call back later and never happens, raise a complaint, no response. Been to sytner solihull they are good. Wolverhampton are the worst to deal with. If you say I want to buy a new car, they treat you like a king, once you get it, you no longer receive the service you expect from a bmw dealer.
Another tactic used to show that they respond to customer queries, in comment below they asked to contact someone from their service team, which is did and as expected no response. If you are to pay them money they contact you straight away, for instance I messaged them for extended warranty got a call today and paid for it done. Raise a issue which doesn't generate money for them Ignored. They couldn't get it touch for a week regarding a complaint but for anything that generates income they can call you straight away.

Great experience at Wolverhampton BMW
I enquired about a 5 series and within the hour, Jason had sent me a personalised video with the information i had requested. Over the next few days Jason kept me informed every step of the way until i took the train up to Wolverhampton to do the handover and pick up the car. The next day Jason called me to make sure i got home safely and to ask if i had any questions regarding the car. It was a great service from end to end!

AVOID!!!
AVOID!!!! I wouldn’t give this place the one star if I had a choice. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. When staff tell you they never have a good day you know you should avoid.
Cowboys and weak management who hide behind their desks. Sales are full of it and servicing con you out of money at any opportunity.

Poor service
I have used this dealership for years now and my recent experience (this week)has left me disappointed. I phoned to book my car in to have the park button looked into as well as the idrive which keeps rebooting. On check in of my key i stated both of these issues again. Upon collecting my car, I asked the lady if my park button issue was sorted she said yes. I then asked has my idrive been sorted? She looked at the paperwork and said yes. I left the car with you for 3 days to allow for repairs as well as getting it serviced which was agreed last minute. I paid the large bill and off I went to pick my kids from school. When I got home I rang bmw saying my idrive was not fixed. I was told I would receive a call back but this did not happen. Also I would have expected some sort of communication regarding my chipped park button seeing as you were looking at it anyway. Communication seems to be a problem here, from giving me inaccurate final bill total on the phone to the video sent of my car where the guy spoke so fast you can’t understand what he is saying. Now after all this, sytner bmw wolverhampton are telling me to bring my car back and pay for the idrive diagnosis? Never again.
