Territory Ahead has changed owners and is a rip off now.

This company had great products many years ago. I see the business address is Ohio now so someone else purchased it. they never answer the phone. My guess is they are now owned by a Chinese company who has a local representative in Ohio to receive the clothing and send it on. I have tried to get a refund for an item I sent back and have been waiting for 3 months. Have emailed back and forth a few times. They said they were prioritizing my refund and then sent me an email asking me what I thought about their service. I never got a refund and am still trying. No one answers the phone. There is a recording in an american man's voice. Obviously this is a dead end. Now I am on hold forever with my Bank. Lovely! Throw away your catalogues for Territory Ahead.

Grossly overpriced, poorly made products, poor customer service

This is the most overpriced clothing company, now, especially for its suspect clothing. Territory Ahead claims to use high-end materials, but they definitely don't anymore! I discovered this company decades ago, and used to be a continuous customer, having spent thousands of dollars on their products. As is the case with most companies, the quality of their products eventually goes way down, and the pricing grows astronomically. This is exactly what's happened with this company. I stopped purchasing from them consistently a few years ago, having maybe ordered a couple of items over the past few years. But I am completely done with this company now. Not only are their products grossly overpriced, but they are also being made with cheaper materials. I've had items shrink considerably, buttons fall off because they were poorly sewn on, and cheap zippers stick. I called customer service to discuss exchanging the shrunken items, but was denied any professional and ethical help. This company, again, is the typical story of a company that made a lot of money, then went cheap with their products but continued to grossly raise their prices on inadequate, poorly made products. Just grossly overpriced for what they now offer!

Garbage company

MY PARENTS INTRODUCED ME TO THIS COMPANY YEARS AGO, WAS GREAT FOR MANY YEARS, BUT THIS COMPANY HAS CHANGED, ITS TOTAL TRASH, THE LAST SEVERAL TIMES IVE ORDERED FROM THIS COMPANY I NEVER RECEIVED THE ITEM AND THIER OUTSOURCED CUSTOMER SERVICE IS INCOMPETENT TRASH, SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MONEY AND FRUSTRATION AND DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Grossly Mis-measured Pants

I bought a pair of undyed denim jeans in my exact size. This was the second pair I bought, with the first pair fitting very nicely. So I had no worries about ordering another pair. Unfortunately, the second pair, despite being labeled 36 by 30 were close to 36 by 34 or longer. I bought them on a special sale with no returns allowed. I got an ambiguous response from customer service. So word to the wise, don't buy from this outfit.

False advertising and zero customer service!

I ordered a shirt from their catalogue that was advertised as a cotton-nylon blend. It was billed as a quick-drying superlight shirt. After washing I noticed it was quite wrinkled and saw on the label that it was 100% cotton! My plan was to take it on a trip to SE Asia which is hot and humid. No way is 100% cotton a good idea. Online chat led nowhere and customer service number put me on hold then disconnected.

Bought 3 shirts fit my husband

Bought 3 shirts fit my husband. Two were good and one was not. Stuff material and huge collar. Returned in on 12/8. Company received it on 12/11. They have yet to refund $. Got 2 of the sane lame excuses about software integration problem. (We all know this would have been fixed in a day or two). I’m sure there is no problem placing an order.
I will try calling tomorrow. Then I guess I must dispute with credit card company. Buyer BEWARE! If you must return item you will have trouble getting your money back. Will never order from this company again.

I'll give them a qualified positive review

I have had good experiences with TTA going back many years - both before as well as after the ownership change in about 2012. A few glitches, though: I recently bought a pair of pants that fit a bit too low cut, and I attempted a return, but the polite bot that took my return request failed to follow up with anything at all... nothing that would facilitate a return. In the meantime, I learned that I could wear the pants just fine with the use of men's suspenders. Problem solved insofar as I no longer want to return them. Another problem is massive lack of inventory selection. Many items I'm interested in have but one or two choices remaining - in very oddball sizes that are of no use to me. I'm giving them four stars, but I have to admit that because of myriad return issues I'm reading about here and elsewhere, along with paltry inventory options, I doubt I'll be giving them much business in the future.

I bought a moleskin shirt, a western shirt and a hand knit wool sweater. I’m wearing the moleskin shirt and wool sweater. Haven’t tried on the western shirt yet. As for the wool sweater. The finest sweater I ever wore. Moleskin shirt. One of the best shirts I ever bought. Quality was the best. Shirt and sweater fit beautifully. Shipping was the best as I got my order in just a few days. As for returns, I can’t say as I never returned anything I ever bought from them.

I returned a $69 shirt

I returned a $69 shirt, received the confirmation of receipt, and waited the requested 90 days before reporting non-receipt of return payment. Contacted the company 4 times over the next 6 months and they saw that the item was returned, promised to upgrade the return but nothing ever happened. I sent a registered letter to the Cincinnati office in Sep 25 with all of the emails and haven't hear squat other than the green card acknowledgement of receipt of the letter. Clearly I'm out the money. It's a shame because they have great products. But I don't trust them anymore since they were bought by an international company.

Quality inconsistent; returns on your dime

Quality of clothes is inconsistent. Photos of products can be very misleading. You must pay for returns, and if they don't receive it within 30 days of purchase, even if the package has never been opened, they will not accept it.

Horrible - never refunded

I placed an order the end of June for 5 items. 3 of them were delivered and two were back ordered. I called to cancel the back order with no problem. I then called to exchange one of the three items that had been delivered. I received an acknowledgement of the exchange and returned the item I was exchanging. I verified their receipt of that item. I never received the new item from them. I repeatedly tried to call (no answer), messaged them through their site and emailed directly. There was no response until the day I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Within minutes of filing the dispute I (miraculously / coincidentally) received an email from them saying there was a delay because their inventory sold out and I could wait, or ask for a refund. I asked for a refund, and received a response saying the refund would be issued in 3-5 days. That was 20 days (and two follow up emails from me) ago. Today I received an email from my credit card company saying they TA had provided notification that goods were as described and received in good condition. I called TA and was told since I had filed a chargeback they would not refund me until they heard from the credit card company that the chargeback was in their favor. THEN they would refund me. So they acknowledged they owed me a refund! So I now have to pursue this further with my credit card company. This is APPALLING customer service from a company I have purchased from for years. I would NEVER recommend that anyone purchase from them. They have gone from being a reputable company to con artists!!

Took my return and kept my money!!!

Returned a $400 order (didn't fit). They accepted my return and acknowledged its receipt. I waited three months for a credit, communicating with them throughout. Finally, I had to involve my credit card company. TA lied to them; said I had not returned anything and had not communiced with them - all untrue! So, they took back the clothes and kept my money. Do not buy from these people. Even though they are a big company they cannot be trusted!

Customer service does not exist

Called to find out why my order was not being delivered and greeted immediately with a recording saying all their customer service agents "were swamped with other valuable customers". I thought I was accepting the option to wait but was again told how swamped they all were and to push "star" if I still wanted to speak to a representative. I did that and was told "thanks, we'll call you back within 48 hours". The kicker is the recording ends with "cheers" and a click. This company does not really want to stay in business--I mean seriously what kind of a death wish inspires non-existent customer service? 48 hours? Look, I know not to expect Amazon from every vendor but this is the most horrendous customer service handling I can recall for eons. I won't buy again from them solely for this reason--you do not have an option to correct or address a problem if it arises.

I have never before wrote a negative review.

I have bought several things from this company over the years and they and interesting and good quality.

But, as you probably will gather from other reviews, this is a really bad place to work with.

If you see something you like and are willing to risk it go ahead and order it. But if you find it's not right and you need help with customer service, save your time and just eat the money you have paid.

The people in customer service are very nice and seem to want to help you, but eventually you will just give up.

I'm happy to give anyone the blow by blow but essentially I ordered pants last January and had to return them (my error I think)and dealt with them on replacement/return etc. and finally I am just giving up.

They won't return my $ or change to something else.

No one should deal with this company unless you just have to have the item (I think we can always find something else that's as good) and don't worry if you just loose your money.

A terrible lack of communication

I placed an order for a pair of pants and paid for 2 day shipping. 5 days later the website still just showed the order as confirmed but nothing else. I sent an email and received no response. After 9 days I called and the phone system notified me that they are extremely busy and could give me a call back within 48 hours. I then tried the online chat and got in touch with a rep who told me my pants were on backorder and would not be in for over a month. I asked why I had not been notified and they told me I could cancel the order if I wanted to. I did cancel the order and I have to say I am very disappointed in the whole experience. Why not notify me at the time of ordering that the pants are not in stock . . . or send a notification email that they are on backorder. This was a terrible experience and I will not be ordering from them again.

Still waiting for my refund

Their clothing, although expensive, is really good quality and unique, but I returned three shirts in March of this year, and STILL have not got a refund in September!!! Their customer services should get a 0 rating. Very frustrated.
