I was a faithful TA customer for years and returned only one item sent in error; however, a recent batch of 5 shirts are way too small and they are the same size as about two dozen other TA shirts. Since they shrunk after the first washing, which was recommended by the company they are all too small and now can't be returned because they were washed.

I've had the same experience as another customer trying to stop catalogs. Tried calling many times, going online, etc. The claim you might get a couple more, but they never sop coming. I hate the horrible waste of trees.
I found an old Territory Ahead gift…
I found an old Territory Ahead gift card while cleaning out a drawer. Before the pandemic, I had been a regular TA customer. I will say that I had noticed a slow decline in the quality of workmanship, including receiving a pair of pants that was clearly mis-sized. I called customer service to see if there was any value on the gift card. I was told that when J Peterman bought Territory Ahead, they had lost the old records so they could not tell me whether the gift card had any value. I suppose JP bought the "assets" and simply forgot about the "liabilities" of the old company. Well, one of the assets should be customer loyalty -- which they have now lost in my case. (I also remember when I loved buying things from J Peterman only to see the quality decline dramatically before they closed up shop in the late 1990s.)

Time to replace TA
I've been a TA customer for a very long time, this version of TA is almost unrecognizable. I placed an order for several shirts for my husband's birthday. I never received an order confirmation, or a shipping confirmation. Tried to log into my account and it was frozen. So I checked my credit card, and sure enough there was a charge (apparently the charging part of their process is the only bit that works). I called customer service for help. Wow, shockingly rude, no ownership at all! "We aren't responsible for website issues", which doesn't make sense since order confirmations, shipping confirmations and actually getting the stuff into shipping are not "website issues". It's been weeks and I do not have the order. The birthday has come and gone. Every company has a lifecycle, and TA is clearly at the end of their lifecycle. I prefer dependable suppliers that don't make me waste my time tracking down my orders, so I have made a CCPA request (consumer privacy, the right to be forgotten). TA will have to delete my personal information from their systems, will no longer be able to sell my personal information to other companies. Consumer privacy laws! Yay!!

This company has the worst customer service and return policy. On two occasion this year, I returned items and they claimed they never received them and refused to issue refunds.

I ordered 3 shirts for Father's Day gifts. I received 2 of them. I called to let them know my credit card had been charged and I did not receive my Sambalpuri Ikat Dragon Fruit short sleeve men's shirt. I was told it was on back order. There was no notification that my shirt was on backorder. Good thing I remembered that I had not received the shirt but my credit card had been charged!! I called back around July 20th and spoke to Tamika. She informed me that the shirt had been discontinued. I said I would like to exchange it for another one. She then said, You will have to do a credit which will go back to your account. I said great! She said you will need to call back and place your order over the phone. I said not a problem. I call back on July 29th and speak to another lady to place my order for the shirt and she says I have to wait until Wednesday 8/4/2021 for my credit to show. I said, I should already have a credit. She said no one put a credit in. I said what about refunding it back to my card. She said that would take 21 days! What the hell? As of today, 8/4/2021 I call back and speak to Kirsten. She tells me there is NO CREDIT on my account at the moment and...... she doesn't say, let me put you on hold. I immediately hear music playing. I said WOW!! How rude! (She wasn't the friendliest customer service representative) she told me she called Territory Ahead and was told I need to wait 48 hours before my credit would show up!!!! Can someone please tell me where in the HELL is my credit? All I want to do is exchange the shirt for another one!!!! If I put it on my credit card, then there will be a credit on my account that can not be used toward my purchase. I said then how am I suppose to exchange the shirt I never got for a different one? There are only maybe 2 shirts left in his size and I am quite sure they will probably be gone. So, I will now WAIT until FRIDAY 8/6/2021 to see what happens since no one on there end can fix a simple problem. I am really ticked off by this company which I had used for numerous of years without a problem Now, they act like they don't give a hoot as long as they have your money!
Horrible service
I love the clothes. One of the few quality substantial Tshirt selections available. BUT their service is horrible. They bill you on order date; don't communicate with you... delay the order if there is a backorder; ship when they feel like it and keep you on hold while they fumble around to figure what's happening with your order. I find their billing practices unethical, on the verge of illegal. The Cust. Serv. group is different than the warehouse group and they don't communicate well, as they send you back and forth to each. For a $50 T shirt IT is not worth it to be treated this way.

I love the clothes that I received, but if you place an order, I recommend only purchasing from the website. Customer service over the phone is terrible and frustrating.
After being on hold for well over 20 minutes, the phone rep who finally answered put me on hold yet again at least 3 times just to tell me the item I purchased was not available and to get a refund processed.
You won't ever get off their mail list if you order
Territory Ahead sells nice clothes but I highly recommend you not place an order. We bought a few things nine years ago and can not get off their mail list. It's wasteful to keep getting these catalogs we don't want. I tried catalog choice, called twice, sent 3-4 pieces of mail with a request. Still the catalogs arrive. Frustrating!

Great products; horrible customer care. Not the company I used to buy from years ago. I was told that I would receive a refund/credit for an out-of-stock item as well as a freight charge. Nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada. I was told that there "....was only one person working refunds." Well, tough! As I did in the military, so should she: stay until the mission's complete. Days, Nights, Week-ends......whatever it takes! They definitely have serious monetary issues and are taking it out on the customers' pocketbooks. Deceitful. Dishonest. Plundering.

This is not the Territory Ahead that I ordered from for many years. I have been happy with the items that I have received but if you need a refund , good luck. I have been waiting almost 2 months for my refund and have been given numerous excuses about the reason why. At this point, I don’t think that I am ever going to receive my refund. I know that I am finished with the company.
Horrible Customer Service/Company
No refund yet after they debited my account for 80 bucks & told me the coat I ordered was sold out. After three attempts for a refund, they've yet to supply. Be forewarned. Horrible Customer service & poor integrity as a company. Stay away! People say this company is no longer in business but I get emails weekly about new product, so they either fraudulently trying to con people out of money or something. STAY AWAY!

I would leave a negative number if that was possible. Without a doubt, the worst customer service I have ever had. Sent in an order March 12. Received one of 2 items with in 10 days. Never received the second item but was charged immediately for it. Called and was informed item was back ordered with no ship date. Asked for a refund which was promised but never materialized. Called at least 5 times, was told my refund was "expedited" by Zach, Angela, a couple of other losers who's names I forget. Each time I was told "we're just a call center that forwards the information to the company", and then we go back to watching UTube videos. Finally after 2 months, I've been promised a refund by supervisor 'Darrien'. We'll see.. These morons can't seem to find their backsides with either hand. Not the same company it was.
Regrettably, I must also note that the formerly great company Territory Ahead is no longer great. I ordered a blazer a month ago. I got no email acknowledgement and the item has not arrived, although my credit card was immediately charged. Phone calls are not answered and after getting someone in "chat", I was told that it was no longer in stock but I could get a refund. Does the company have no internal tracking system to determine when ordered items are not shipped so the customer can be alerted and a refund automatically processed? If I had not contacted them, it appears that they would have simply kept my money. After over 20 years of satisfaction with this company, I will never order from them again.
