Went to the TGI Friday's within the O2. After eventually being seated. We waited 25 minutes for our order to be taken. While we were sat waiting we had a birdseye view of the serving hatch area. The m... See more

TGI Fridays in Leeds- Poor experience
We went to TGI Fridays in Leeds Whiterose on coronation day, the overall experience is really poor from the moment we went in…
First of all, we don’t feel welcomed at all, we were taken to a table soon after we arrived by a lady doesn’t seem happy, no normal sort of greeting, we were only told there is no high chair at the time, which we were fine with.
While we were waiting for the food, we noticed 4-5 staff just chatted a long time outside kitchen/ serving window, leaving only 2 staff taking customers to the table or occasionally provide service as being asked.
Later a waitress brought a highchair for us, we were trying to help to give one standard chair back, but she took one without asking us by going the other way round, which seemed very strange and no conversation was made at the time…
When we got our food. I ordered rare steak and my partner ordered medium cooked steak, which turned out to be completely the opposite. We didn’t bother to tell them at that stage any more given the poor service in general.
We used to love TGI Fridays, but it looks like it is time to move on after I saw so many negative comments everywhere else around the country… Very disappointing
Chelmsford branch
Chelmsford branch. Seated at a table for 1. I wanted to order the Wagyu burger and a milkshake. A waiter never came to serve me. I am disgusted at what a waste of time this was. You are losing money and do not know how to run a business. I'll avoid like the plague from now on.
Went to TGI Fridays in North Watford for the first time
Went to TGI Fridays in North Watford to celebrate my birthday with my family so we had a big table. Loved the NY taxi and the motorbike outside the restaurant.
The girl who served us was Maria and she was absolutely brilliant. The food was not great which is why I have given it 4/5 stars but the service we got from Maria was brilliant and I loved the restaurant. Nice and big and easy parking.
They sang happy birthday to me which was a lovely surprise and gave me a cake.
The problem with the food was that the nachos were tasteless as there was no guacamole on them! Then my chilli beef chimichanga had no rice inside it so they brought me a separate bowl of rice. Kids menu was great and we loved our drinks.
I would go back as I really like the restaurant.
Not deserving of even one star
From start to finish, this venue and the meal they served up was an unmitigated disaster.
We were led the whole length of the largely empty restaurant past a broken bannister bedecked with yellow and black 'safety tape' and hung with a message advising customers not to lean on the bannister as it was broken and wouldn't take their weight. Really???
Once seated in the furthest corner, we were handed 4 menu cards all of which were sticky with previously spilt and dried on drink. Yuk!
Both of these issues would fail a health and safety inspection.
The menu selection itself was extremely uninspiring and all four starters and mains that our group ordered left much to be desired. A bewildering conundrum of numbered codes qualified us for a free desert each, as well as 20% off the total bill. Even so, I felt the final bill was still far too expensive for such poor quality food. A member of our party summed the situation up well by describing TGIs as an upmarket, overpriced MacDonald's. We all had to agree.
We were served by two servers, neither of whom seemed able to get things right. Between courses we had exceptionally long waits, and dirty dishes were cleared away from only 3 of our party despite all 4 of us having finished the course. This happened between every single course.
For every course, parts of the ordered dishes were left behind until we asked for them to be served. The bowl of chips that eventually arrived to accompany the Quesadilla choice arrived late and were far too salty to eat. One of our party was served with the wrong dessert, with no accompanying spoon.
We had a 3-course meal with one accompanying drink. The total time we sat at our table was over 3 hours. Far too long for such a simple meal. The wait time between courses was just too long. When we had finished our meal, one of our party gave up waiting for us to be noticed after around half and hour walked over to where the servers were standing to ask for the bill. Even so, the bill was incorrect not once but twice, before we could finally pay and leave the premises.
No, I will definitely never eat at any TGI Fridays ever again. Outstandingly poor in all respects, and not even deserving of one star.
TGI Fridays needs to be updated
TGI Fridays is old school with a ton of history. I wish they would delete their decor and image and go back to more up to date, late night spot, paired with kids welcome during the day.
This review is specific to the Gurnee location. Always hot food. Best service in bar area, we've had a few occassions where service was super slow outside of the bar.
TGIfriday Romford
Went for the first time with my two boys at lunch time. The portions were small, not like the photos on their menu & expensive for what we got. There was one server to all ten tables, taking orders and serving, a girl took one order then left him to it. So service was so slow. He kept forgetting things. My coleslaw tasted off so spoke to the server, he said "Oh yeah thats the vegan mayo the chef uses, customers are always complaining it tastes off!", Errr....Why keep serving it like that then?!. The corndogs were two of them, so tiny. My coleslaw was in a tiny dish, and a small cut off portion of sweetcorn, not even a whole one for the price. My Sons cheesecake he said wasnt nice, small slice and tiniest slither of icecream with it Id ever seen. Toilets werent clean, our table not clean, my youngest Sons new coat he took off and put beside him got sauce on it from the seat already there on it. Had to ask for the bill 3 times over a long period of time as server kept forgetting. We had 1 starter, 2 soft drinks, 3 mains, 2 afters at lunchtime and came to nearly £85.00
Great experience as always
Visited our local branch this weekend. Always a great experience - tasty food in a fun filled atmosphere. We had a few allergies in our group and the server was very reassuring and helped show them all the different options available to them. A positive experience all round and will look forward to returning!
TGI Croydon - poor service
The service was very poor. After being seated we had to ask someone to come and take our order after waiting for more than 15 minutes. The young lady seemed to have an attitude when taking our order and when we asked a question about drinks, her response was rude. When she returned with the drink, it was almost like she slammed it onto the table! We waited over half an hour for the food to arrive and there were several issues with the food. The side of chicken wings was luke warm as was one of the mains. However, the coleslaw was hot! We told another lady about the hot coleslaw and she said she would replace it; she walked past our table several times but didn’t return to us. We then told our original server who offered to replace it however, by that time we had finished eating so it was too late. The lemonade was flat and tasteless. We even had to wait and ask for the bill twice. When asked would we like to leave a tip for the service we declined and explained why. This young man was sorry and said he would pass out comments on.
TGI Friday Prestwich
TGI Friday Prestwich. Used to be a fun place with enthusiastic staff, great American food, brilliant cocktails. Went 8/2/23 for my daughters birthday. Starters tasteless, greasy, gloopy. Nothing like they used to be. All the cocktails were pre-made, weak and all tasted like sherbet. The young waiters brought the mains when we were only half way through the starters. I said we are still eating our starters. They just squashed the plates onto the table. Rump steak was disgusting. It was cold and raw in the middle and had no juice or blood whatsoever. When I complained the young waiter said the manager had taken the steak off the bill. The manager did not come over.
What a shame TGI’s used to be fantastic.
Please do not waste your money in this restaurant!
Incredibly disappointing
I'm writing on here in the hope someone from Fridays might see this, as they haven't bothered to reply to my complaints sent via the website.
My family visited for a booking at 5.15pm, were seated immediately, and ended up leaving just before 7pm, having not been served our main meals or drinks. The serving staff disappeared, the food never appeared, and it meant (due to having a show to go to) we didn't actually eat until midnight back at home.
I even spoke to Front of House, questioning what was going on, but he disappeared and never came back to me. This was at the Milton Keynes branch which I'll never be returning to again.
Even worse, in following up and sending complaints, the only way to do it is via their website, but nobody seems to monitor or reply to it. Their Facebook/Twitter feeds are controlled by Bots, so as a consumer there's no way to reach out to them! It's honestly absurd.

Still by far the best restaurant for a meal. Still going strong and still quick and efficient service and still the best way to have an early evening or lunchtime meal.

Visited resorts world Birmingham today…
Visited resorts world Birmingham today for grandson birthday at lunch time. There was six of us , they got our booking mixed up. The host was very apologetic to the mistake on there behalf. We asked to speak to the manager David who had no customer service skills and was rude , the other manger Shannon also came across rude , both these managers need training on how to look after there customer’s. It was a disgrace from start to finish, there was lots of customers complaining about different things but David was no where to be seen. Our server was named Luke he was very pleasant and try his hardest to make our grandson birthday special. We will not be returning to this place again or it needed was a manager who could have dealt with our booking himself instead of letting is waiting staff try to sort it out.
TGI barmaid so rude
We went to TGIF on 20th Dec 22. Our daughters were back from University and we had just picked the last one up from the station so went to THIF for dinner.
On arrival we waited for a table but nobody acknowledged our party. We asked the bar maid if we should seat ourselves but in an unfriendly manner she said we needed to wait for a waiting member of staff.
We were seated and our very sweet waitress introduced herself then returned about 5 minutes later to take our order. We ordered our meals and drinks taking advantage of the 2 cocktails for £12 offer. I chose 2 margaritas.
After about 15 minutes our starters arrived but we still didn’t have drinks. The restaurant was reasonably empty so we asked where our drinks were. Shortly thereafter the drinks arrived except for the 2 margaritas. We were told that the bar staff were just making them. Approximately 15 minutes later with all starters finished and most of the group nearly finishing their drinks I asked after the margaritas again and was told ‘5 minutes’ we waited another 10 minutes and chased again but with no joy. One of my daughters then went around the corner to the bar to chase and was told by the barmaid to wait as she was serving. It looked like the only couple at the bar were drinking 2 margaritas! I then decided to chase the drinks once more but found an empty bar. I asked a waiter where the drinks were and where was the barmaid? At this point the barmaid and another waitress came out of a back room. I asked her where my drinks were and said I had been waiting approximately 30 minutes for them. She replied ‘I’m on my own mate’ I said that it wasn’t good enough and she said ‘f off’! I was shocked and really annoyed.
I retorted and returned to my family who were now eating their main courses. I asked to see the manager.
The manager came to the table and I told her what had happened and said we would be eating and would not pay for our meal. I was disgusted and she agreed. Approximately 15 minutes later she returned, I had calmed down but was somewhat surprised to be told that she would remove the margaritas from the bill ( they never arrived) and take 25% off the bill. She also told me that the barmaid had been sent home.
I believe that the least TGIF should have done is to give us a free meal. I have never been spoken to like I was in any establishment. I have been in the service industry for the last 27 years and prior to that I was a military officer. This was unforgivable behaviour and I would like to hear from a more senior member of this food chain.

TGI Friday Southampton
Food was ok. Nothing special. Staff were pleasant until we tried to redeem the 22% off on Saturday 10th December to app members.
Two of us had the app but because we hadn't received a code (which wasn't mentioned on their webpage or in their t&c's) they refused us the offer. In total we spent £190 in there today but we certainly won't be going back. They even 'forgot' to take the £70 deposit that had been paid upon booking off our final bill.
A non service. Again!
We Arrived to be greeted by a team member who immediately told us they were short of staff, then we were taken to our seats and told we would be served as soon as possible. Twenty two minutes later we were still waiting to be served, then my daughter reminded me of the last time we were here and how long we had to wait on that occasion. We decided to leave as it was very obvious that we were not going to be seen/served, and even when we got up and walked out of the resturant none of the staff members took notice or ask why we were leaving. This will be the last time I will be eating at that restaurant, enough is enough.
Visited the Glasgow fort TGI last…
Visited the Glasgow fort TGI last night. The guys who served our table were very pleasant. However, when I visited the ladies toilet they were absolutely disgusting, one had no loo paper, one of the toilet seats was completely broken off, the other was in need of a clean. Had to ask for the key to the disabled toilet.
Also, waiting to pay, 2 members of staff playing with balloons with other customers that they obviously knew, we had to call them to take our payment.
TGI Croydon (Purley Way)
I wouldn’t normally leave a review however I was very pleased with this visit. Me and my partner decided to visit this place even after the poor service we had last time we thought we would give it another go, and I’m so glad we did the food was great and our waitress was impeccable! We Felt well taken care of and we will definitely recommend and revisit this restaurant! I wish I could remember the waitresses name I would give her 10/10 service even though she said she had only been there a few weeks, thanks Tgi !
