I'm looking to change from a gas boiler to a heat pump

If you are thinking about putting in a heat pump (as I am) or you want to make sure your home heating is working as efficiently as possible then definitely get in touch with Heating Hub. They undertake a remote assesment of your current set up and make recommendations to improve it. It's a great value-for-money srvice. They then put you in touch with their excellent local heating specialists (who are very experieneced and far more knowledgeable than a typical boiler installer) to survey and quote for any changes your system needs.

Highly recommended

The Heating Hub team were very thorough in their analysis of our requirements and their recommendations, responding to any questions we had promptly.
We used their suggested Elite Installer and could not have done better. The work was done with very little disturbance to us, the team were friendly, efficient and very thorough. Where they had to drill a new flue, it was done quickly and the part of the old hole that remained visible was repaired carefully both inside and out. There was little noise or dust, they covered the work area to start and cleaned up everything after themselves.
We would recommend both THH and their Elite Installers to any potential customer.

Heating Hub - An absolute gem!

Heating Hub were just what I had been searching for. I wanted thoughtful, impartial advice on replacing our system. Every other organisation essentially wanted to sell me something - replace at all costs (quite literally!) - but the HH team spoke sense, replacement isn’t the default option. We identified it definitely was in my case, though.

They know their stuff, took the time to understand what we wanted and explored options. And they really listen!

Once we’d specced a system between us, with the upsides and downsides of various designs well and clearly explained, they put me in touch with a fantastic local installer, Richard in High Wycombe. The installation went completely smoothly and everything now works as it should.

Jo and Caroline are a hidden gem, just what the industry needs. No hard sell, no bias. Spending the small amount of money they charge is absolutely worth it to get the right answer on what is not a small overall investment. Recommended. And recommended again!

A worthwhile investment......

Having decided that it was time for a new boiler, but not really knowing where to start ( it's a big financial commitment and I had to get it right ) I came across The Heating Hub. After some consideration, I invested in their service - they are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and they were quick to provide a recommendation of what I should be aiming for. They also put you in touch with Elite Installers who visit and provide recommendations / quote. Using The Heating Hub was a really positive, worthwhile experience and I highly recommend them.

Boiler Replacement

My 18 year old boiler has been giving trouble so needed replacing before winter 2021/22. It was obvious the home heating industry had changed dramatically in the intervening period so needed advice as to what was available, and in particular, for a 100 year old property. The Heating Hub was able to present several options and noted issues to be considered including the capacity of the boiler required. Heating Hub introduced one of their Elite Installers, Mike, who spent considerable time assessing the situation. The replacement boiler was in the middle of the house without an outside wall. The old single flue through two floors was replaced by a new flexible double flue. Loft tanks and hot water tank were replaced by a well insulated single hot water tank. The Project was satisfactorily completed before winter.

THH guided us through the process, advised which would be the best boiler for our needs and be eco friendly too. They even suggested a most excellent team to fit our new boiler. The whole process has worked wonderfully well and your elite installer was a marvel!

Excellent, trusted advice, don't look any further

The Heating Hub team provided a comprehensive heat loss report at short notice which was invaluable in determining the exact needs for my replacement boiler and central heating system, rather than simply accepting a quote from my existing maintenance contractor. I really valued their expert advice. More importantly, they recommended an Elite installer near me who did a first class job and who was incredibly professional, knowledgable and courteous. I'm very, very glad to have got in touch!

Money well spent

After 30 years of sterling service from our Vaillant boiler it was time to find a new one. The problem is, where do you find unbiased impartial advice?
For a relatively small fee (in the scheme of things) this is where The Heating Hub is invaluable. They listened to my needs, did some basic heating calculations and put me onto one of their Elite Installers local to me.
They ensured the installation was completed to a high standard and the all relevant paperwork was completed.
Money well spent.

Heating Hub - a great concept that works

Moving into a London terrace house with a 25 year old heating and boiler system created a choice. Wait until it breaks down (probably in winter) or replace the system whilst the house was undergoing refurbishment. We knew a little about these systems but not enough to make an informed choice. We sent away for the PDF document from The Heating Hub and although we felt well informed after reading it, we soon realised that there was more to it than just a boiler system versus a combi-boiler. Additionally, past experience had proven that there was a big difference between adequate heating engineers and those who really knew what they were doing. The Heating Hub made contact and I immediately appreciated their customer orientation. I realised very quickly that by paying a small fee for a customised report and plan that we would make the right choice of system. Whilst The Heating Hub understands the merits of different systems and brands, their independence allows them to recommend without bias. They put together a full survey based on all the information we had at hand, and turned this into a fully comprehensive report and recommendation. We had a number of follow up calls to discuss different options and settled on a plan. This approach was not only helpful, but really offered peace of mind about a major decision that we would have to live with for many years. Importantly, The Heating Hub put us in touch with one of their Elite Installers, Terry. He added his own professional experience to the survey and agreed with the recommendations. Terry carried out the removal of the old system (boiler and heating tank) and replaced only what needed replacing. He took care of everything, including the brickwork and plaster repairs due to the gaping holes the old system had left behind. We always knew the heating and hot water system would improve but not as much as it has done. It runs quietly and efficiently in the background, adjusting to the external temperature rather than the on/off approach of the old system. This result was not from the hardware alone, but from the approach that The Heating Hub takes to accrediting their Elite Installers. This meant that we could take take advantage of Terry's years of experience in setting up and balancing the system for optimal efficiency. The Elite Installers approach is a very clever and easy way to take the guesswork out of hiring the right professional for the job and the extensive advice we received at the beginning allowed us to make the right choice for our house instead of opting for what our neighbours and friends were recommending.

Excellent impartial advice.

I found the Heating Hub web site almost by accident while browsing for central heating information. Having contacted them by telephone and registered, Caroline put me through to Jo with whom I had a long, helpful conversation. This resulted in a detailed set of recommendations. Also, they put me in contact with their Elite Installer, David who phoned me to arrange an interview. They have done the work I needed - to a very high standard and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Jo and Caroline gave exactly the advice I needed and their fee was worth every penny!
If anyone needs advice on heating and does not know where to get it, I would recommend the Heating Hub for impartial advice.

First class advice and service

With a failed 16 year old boiler, I had to choose between accepting a simple replacement or trying to update my heating system, but where to find practical, informed and independent advice?
By chance I found the Heating Hub site, read as much of the free information as I could and then rang them. The impression of honest good sense and knowledge encouraged me to invest in the Hero Support and subsequently to appoint one of their "elite installers" to fit a new boiler and sophisticated control system.
The advice made sense, the installer was excellent, the system works well, both the Heating Hub and the installer were incredibly responsive and I can only say I am very pleased I found them, decided to use them and to recommend them to anyone contemplating any change to their heating system

My boiler broke in the middle of…

My boiler broke in the middle of January and I needed help to figure out what to do. Jo was extremely helpful. She investigated the different options for me and recommended a course of action. What really made me happy is that she recommended one of the installers from her network, someone she had worked with before and knew was an excellent installer. There are so many installers out there that it is difficult to find a reliable one who is not going to take advantage of the situation. So I'm really glad I could ask someone for advice. Highly recommended.

An exceptional service. If mulling it over...just do it.

This is an exceptional service that is on offer- and is value for money to no end.

I spent hours going over websites (including the HH website) trying to spec the correct boiler on my own. I shouldn’t have bothered as I’d actually come to the wrong conclusion after all that! The specification we got from Jo & Caroline not only suited our needs now, but future-proofed us for any upcoming extensions/additional bathrooms. They even added a future solar option as we mentioned an interest in it. We have low water pressure so the option to just ‘get a bigger boiler’ didn’t really work for us & Jo offered various creative & easy alternatives.

If you’re mulling it over- don’t hesitate, just do it. They’re warm, friendly, and best of all passionate about making sure you’re informed and provided for correctly. They also turned everything around much quicker than expected which was a pleasant surprise.

Im quite the convert- I feel everyone should have this service when looking for a new boiler. Time will tell how our new boiler will do, but our current bills are so high that it won’t be hard to improve on!

HH installerAdam highly recommended

Adam was recommended to me as an exceptionally excellent installer, and he & his team fulfilled their top-rating totally as far as I can tell. I was guided that top quality installation makes a huge difference to how a boiler works in a home so is well worth the extra cost. I now have almost even temperatures in most rooms (I mean on sunless days of course) and throughout the day.

Adam also communicated with helpful, clear, knowledgeable, non-judgemental responses including both when I had a last-minute concern the evening before installation, and in responding to an after-sales question.

Another sign of his high quality is that when he dismantaled my old boiler, he showed me problems which an ordinary local installer seems to have missed.

So: seven stars to Adam at the Heating Hub.

I'm not yet experiencing any reduction in my gas usage per day, but I suppose it's not fair to judge by what happens in a cold snap with the first snow lying properly since 3 years ago.

Discovered Heating Hub by chance after I had a new combi boiler fitted I realise now that I would have benefitted from their service. TRUE HERO!

Wow! What good advice Jo Alsop gave!
I have had a nightmare with our combi-boiler leaking over our very expensive kitchen worktop over the past couple of years, being repaired under warranty, only to leak again (diverter valve history).
Ahead of a further engineer's visit this week, I contacted Jo to ask her advice on how to handle the often 'robotic' engineer, because I was aiming for a complete replacement boiler under its 10 year warranty but don't have the technical know-how to argue the toss with an engineer!
In a very timely manner, Jo had a word with one of her 'elite' engineers, rang me straight back with a bag full of ammunition, and I got to work by ringing my boiler company before said visit. In short, I didn't get a new boiler but did have a major part fitted (which may have been the problem all along?), taking nearly 2 hours to fit, and am now praying for no more leaks!?
As a domestic user, I have nothing but admiration for how Jo helped me in my day of need and 'wish her and The Heating Hub a very successful future.

The Best Advice Principle

Both Joe and Caroline were informed and honest in their appraisal of our wants and needs. In the end thanks to their helpful and impartial advice and guidance we actually decided that a heat pump solution wasn’t for us in our somewhat drafty 18 century five storey house but we were grateful for the opportunity of having a down to earth and thoroughly grounded discussion of the available options even if this time the status quo was where we ended up. We would warmly recommend them to anyone seeking guidance and counsel. Just sorry that we didn’t need them more.
