A stylish, safe puzzle mat
I bought a puzzle mat in mustard, grey and white which looks nice - kid friendly but still goes with the decor in our living room. It does the job of providing a soft, safe play area for baby, and while it is more expensive than the average puzzle mat on the market, in my opinion it's worth it for the piece of mind of it being formamide free. It was delivered quickly too.

Don't order for time dependent gifts!
I ordered from The Modern Nursery over two months ago and my package hasn't been dispatched yet.
It seems like the phone lines are never open so it's proving difficult to talk to someone.
My advice would be to avoid ordering from The Modern Nursery for any time dependent gifts.. birthdays, christmas, etc or if it is anything that the baby might grow out of in a few months....
Unless you can wait months, shop elsewhere!

Do not trust the pre order!
I Placed an order for the Puzzle Playmat in Sand on 14th Sept for delivery the following week 19th Sept... finally received my order almost 6 weeks later. I had to initially chase customer service when my order just didn't turn up on time which I found very disappointing, but in fairness after that the correspondence was OK. I understand supply delays but "pre order",particularly for the following week, shouldn't give a company free reign to deliver whenever they like with no remorse
The mat is nice and the colours lovely however it does have a very strong plastic smell but I hope this will go in time
I would be put off ordering from The Modern Nursery again as it was just such a rigmarole

Love the chair however…
Love the chair however it did come with kinks in the cardboard box packaging and there were scuffs on the material. I didn’t bring it up as the scuffs are to the back of the chair and so you wouldn’t really see it.

Quick delivery and fab quality product
Quick delivery and fab quality product. The play mat fits perfectly into our home - just give it a wipe down with a bit of soap and water to get rid of the slippery layer and pat dry. My son is so busy on the mat with his toys that it hasn’t marked at all. So please with it.

Just what I was looking for….
I own a children’s day nursery and I love The Modern Nursery and all the great things they have on offer.
I purchased a large Miffy Lamp for our baby rooms monochrome area and the babies love it.
I also purchased some wallpaper for our Holiday Club room and it’s perfect, modern, beautiful and educational, all wrapped into one.
I wouldn’t hesitate to look here when i’m renovating the children's rooms and want those exceptional finishing touches.
Delivery was spot on too.

Let me start this review by admitting…
Let me start this review by admitting my own mistake: When I ordered from The Modern Nursery, I was sending a gift. I painstakingly entered the address of the destination, and moved on with the order. At some point, Google Chrome in its infinite desire to help, updated the address to previous one for the recipient, and this is where the order was processed for.
That was my error, and I own that. But here is where TMN's failures to assist begin.
I noticed my error immediately. As in, within one minute. I of course went to the order on the website to see if I could edit the destination. No luck. I called the office immediately, no one was in (during work hours...) and left a voicemail. And I emailed their help inbox, with all the details required to fix the issue.
Next morning, I called again. No one picked up. I left another voicemail. I checked to see if I should email again, but apparently "emailing again will move your inquiry to the bottom of the pile" or some such nonsense. Later that day, I get an email announcing my order has been dispatched. Still to the wrong address.
I call again, no answer, leave a voicemail.
Let me point out now that I've attempted to contact TMN four times by now: once by email (as they suggest) and three times by phone. Yet to speak to anyone, yet to receive an acknowledgement of my email that was sent MINUTES after I found my error, and the package has gone to the wrong place.
Finally, the next day, I call and get a person on the phone. And they're moderately helpful: they inform me I can contact the courier (already thought of that, courier told me to contact the company in question). They also tell me they can also attempt to contact the courier and, if successful, the package can be returned to their warehouse and they can then send it on to the right place. Sounding good!
Two more days pass. Couple unanswered calls from me in to them. Still no email confirmation of my original error email.
Courier updates are hilarious. They've got it. They're sorting it. Now they've got it again. Now they're sorting again. Now it's being dispatched! Now they've got it. Now it's being sorted.
On and on that goes, for another five days. Still no contact from TMN via email.
Finally, the package is out for delivery. Delivery failure! They'll try again tomorrow. I'm hoping they're trying to send it back to the warehouse AND NOT THE WRONG ADDRESS. I call again. No one picks up.
By the way, the phone hours are ridiculous. You can call during daytime working hours, it'll ring three times, and then just inform you of their hours, which you are calling during, and then tell you no one is in. Pathetic.
A day after the first attempted delivery, I get a notification that they've successfully delivered the package. To the wrong address. Complete with picture.
As I said in the beginning, I own my original mistake. But I caught this error IMMEDIATELY and at no point was there any recourse to fix the problem. TMN's efforts were pathetic. And the courier never offered any option for alternate delivery beyond "Leave it with a neighbor!"
Still, I'm sure the train set is lovely and my niece will really enjoy it. Assuming it wasn't stolen from the old address.
Provide an edit button for submitted orders. Answer your bloody phone during work hours. And maybe, just maybe, answer emails that are time sensitive.
