Love it.

I have nothing bad to say about Thinkgeek. Im a huge nerd, so I would buy everything if I could! I live in Sweden and I got my stuff on time.

I would not recommend

I bought some gifts for the holidays, and oh my lord... (1) It never came and (2) I called and emailed so many times and the wait time was literally more than an hour!! I called multiple times and no answer. Shady. So I just called my credit card company to reverse it and apparently they said that company is on their watchlist for fraud.

Love ThinkGeek!

Great webiste; great assistance!
I admit; i was skeptical at first due to all the bad reviews i've seen
Having had gone through a purchase that went swimmingly well (except for a cracked sword which is being replaced free of charge), I can honestly say i would recommend and send again. Love ThinkGeek! They had great customer service, and great prices. 10/10 would use.

Horrible Customer Service

I've order from Thinkgeek before and had no problems, but I must say, I echo what the other reviewers have said. Christmas is busy time; I understand. However, waiting for four hours on the phone (on two separate days) and not responding to emails is not acceptable. I mean, come on, you know it is going to be busy, pull yourself together! I still haven't gotten a response about my order and it has been over two to three months. I decided to just forget it, but I would not recommend people buy from them.

The saddest thing in a tech world

"If I can I will give 0 star. I ordered just 1 item from the company with 3 day shipping which spend almost 3 days to wrap ?! And I still didn't got it. Because they let me used a "Po Box" when I ordered, and obviously it shipped by UPS... Yup, I was wrong, I should double check when I shopping, the "tech & geek "website, can't tell I typed in a "Po Box" that UPS not delivery in. So for changing address, UPS claimed only the sender can changes, but guess what! ThinkGeek refused, because it's not a right "procedure"?! And the contacting result is I typed in wrong address? they can do nothing. WTF I even have to pay for delivery fee WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

terrible experience, awful service

I ordered a small gift on December 3rd. Three weeks later I email them for a shipping update. Three days go by, and I never receive a response back. I call them, and had to wait on the phone for over 2 and a half hours. The rep tells me that it was never given to UPS. He is going to replace it, but at first wanted to only send it standard shipping. This is a Christmas gift, and eventually he agrees to expedited shipping. Two days go by and it still has not reached UPS. I use the online chat and waited over an hour. After waiting the second time, the rep could not care less and basically tells me that it will get here when it gets here. Nothing was done to assure me that it was given to UPS this time. She completely blew me off. This was the worst shopping experience and I will not order with them again. Do yourself a favor and use Amazon instead.

Unbelievable - could they have done anything else WRONG?

I could not be more frustrated.

If any of you have even thought of going through ThinkGeek - just...just don't.

My first time with them. I order stuff for Christmas mid November trying to plan ahead. My order got to me on the 20th. One item, the Aperture Science Portal Gun, was shipped damaged. So I call (and let me tell you, any time you call these guys, it's like they have 1 or 2 people on staff because they'll tell you you're caller 10 and you'll wait 2 hours). I finally get someone and I ship it back. Sadly, they refuse to reserve the item for me ("it wont go out of stock, we have plenty"). I have little choice here. It gets to them and...nothing. For a week I get no calls or emails confirming they received it or are sending my item back to me. So, of course I call. I'm told that they don't have it. UPS has a signature that they dropped it off to Tom at their front desk >> and they insist they don't have my return. I keep calling. Finally, someone says that 'my return expired and that's the issu--- no actually it's that it is out of stock' >> you don't say. At this point, I just never want to deal with ThinkGeek again and want my money back, but my headache isn't over. They try to first refund me $50 for my order (it's listed as 119$ but I had a total of $70 on my ENTIRE ORDER, so of course all those discounts are on this one item right? what a joke!). I explain how seriously frustrated I am and they tried to wow me with an offer of 15...no, 20$ off a ThinkGeek store item instead. I refuse and she gives me 'more than my order is actually worth' - $82 back. How generous, expect I actually paid 95$ on the item. After having to explain the most obvious fact that the total discount is on the total order and not my single item and that I actually should be getting 95$ for my item - she checks and confirms ... giving me just the 95$ for the hassle. So first my item is damage, then it disappears in their hands, then they try to rip me off on getting my refund? What...a...joke...

That's just the item I had an issue with too. The other items were about as expected - pretty cheap in quality for what I was paying, but I expected that to be completely honest.

Horrible company

Thinkgeek is a horrible company to deal with. I was waiting for a parcel and had it expedited to me (I paid extra for expedited shipping). It was 2 days late and having past the occasion, I did not need the items. Now I have been calling to get the items returned and refunded. I have called customer service (which is actually a bunch of incompetent people) 4 times now, on hold for an hour each time and still no refund. They claim each time I have been given my refund, but I don't see it. I call back and apparently each time, some "error" occurs with the last person who was trying to implement it. I am now fed up with the outrageous and completely disrespectful company. They are a bunch of liars and thieves and seriously should not be entitled to be a corporate entity.

Good items you can't buy.

I'd used this site once before and all seemed well so I returned, But this time, after going through the whole shopping process and getting to checkout on an $80 order, there was a problem with shipping. I was trying to purchase from the UK. I got an estimate on shipping but just couldn't see any means of selecting a shipping method. At check out some text asked me to select a method but I was also informed (without clarity) that some (or all) of my items could not be sent by air. I still couldn't see any means to make a shipping choice about air or anything: no boxes, lists, highlights... so I got on the live chat, where the response was slow (so slow I got kicked off for being inactive while I was waiting mid-conversation reply), and was told that some items are resticted and only admin know! How utterly ridiculous! My question was just how to select shipping. But it seems I uncovered a plot to hide from would-be-customers the truth about whether they can actually buy an item or not. I've wasted an hour and become very frustrated. I asked to communicate with someone else and was given the American phone number. To call from the UK? Rubbish.

Love this site! Expensive shipping for International Buyers tho...

I have purchased many great things from this site. As I live in Australia it can cost quite a lot for shipping. I've ordered many times from them and each time they have been prompt with sending out my items and have received it well with in the estimated shipping time. Some companies can take up to 6 weeks, but ThinkGeek usually take 3-4 weeks.
I did have one order from them last year that I ordered for Christmas presents (allowed them to arrive 2 weeks before, which was allowing 6 weeks for shipping), but they never arrived. As this particular order did not have tracking on it for the package, I could not find where it went missing. I contacted their customer service and they sent out a new order free of charge.
As an international customer I have found them to have great customer service and great products. The only downside is the cost of getting it shipped to Australia.

Overprice but great selection

The price is much, but the selection and shipping are great, I live in Greenland and usually when we order something from online we wait about a month to get, but we receive our order in appx. 14 days.

Unhelpful and Overpriced

Not only are the items pricey, international shipping is absolutely ludicrous and customer service and problem resolution is just the worst. Stock is not updated and relayed properly. If something happens, the attitude seems to be along the lines of "I'm sorry" to the tune of "Deal with it". I will not be ordering from this terrible site again.

Great items and service, overpriced selections.

I really like Think Geek for the products. However, if I can find them on other sites such as Amazon, I tend to order them elsewhere for quicker delivery and sometimes better deals.
However, I've had amazing experiences with customer service replacing broken items and keeping me updated on orders. So...it's a trade-off.

Don't Shop At THINKGEEK

Don't shop here. Even if they seem to have great deals, they will rip you off. I placed an order and cancelled it, yet they double billed me, with one charge being $60+ more than what I had authorized. They also sent me two packages, yet only one of them had an invoice with it. I returned the products in their original condition but was told that they would not refund me their shipping charges, only for the product. This is not good enough. I had to pay to send them their mistake back. Their mistake is going to end up costing me $100 in shipping charges alone $80 of those that they are responsible for! These people are running a scam. BEWARE!!!!!

Very satisfied :) Quick delivery from US to Denmark.

Before ordering I read all of the reviews here on trustpilot. A lot of them were negative, so I feared that I would never receive my order, but the articles I ordered isn't in my country at all, so I took the chance.

I places the order on may 27th, and it was delivered in Denmark (northern Europe) 6 days later.

In my opinion it is very fast delivery. I am impressed and very satisfied :)

Find the product you want here. Order it elsewhere.

Always thought the products at ThinkGeek were unique and cool. Little did I know how long it would take them to process an order, let alone how long it would take to receive an item. Seems there is only one shipping choice, UPS, which takes forever and a day to get you your package with the least amount of efficiency if you choose economy. I learned only after ordering from ThinkGeek that the product that I was after was available elsewhere for $35 less. Yes that's $35, not 3.50. Given the choice to order elsewhere, I certainly would have, had I known. Check the other reviews out. Service certainly isn't ThinkGeek's bragging right.

Apparently I always catch 'em on a great day :o

Thinkgeek.com is my go-to site for buying gifts when I'm not exactly sure what to get for someone. I use their reward program and I enjoy it. I've never had any need to contact customer service except to thank them because one of my orders came early. Everything has always come as promised and I do refer others to them--I've not heard any issues from friends so I'm not sure about negative experiences. Mine have been nothing but positive.
