Five weeks since I placed my order & not a tree in sight. After emailing to ask when I could expect my order I was told the nursery supplying my order is behind schedule. Eh? I didn't realise this company was a third party seller, I thought I was paying over the odds for a great product & service. The weird thing is that two days after placing my order I received a phone all from Alan to say my apple tree had failed it's inspection & was there another tree I'd like or would I like to wait til August. No, I want them now which is why I ordered them now. Then nothing til three weeks later when I chased them up. I have now emailed twice to ask for a refund & not received a reply. As per the previous reviewer I will be left with no choice but to pursue this through my credit card company. Very disappointing & bordering on immoral too.
UPDATE
32 minutes after I placed my review I received a phone call from Alan who pretty much put the blame for everything on me for not reading the website or hearing the words he did not say in our phone conversation two days after ordering. And got so snippy with me I had to terminate the call.
My trees were apparently dispatched yesterday - nice to have been notified of this - & will arrive 'today or tomorrow'.
So, top tip people, if you do have the misfortune to place an order with this company your best course of action when they let you down is to write a review, you'll get super speedy service then.

REALLY DISAPPOINTED
I have run a gardening business for 20 years and have never had such an awful experience - I ordered 2 x cherry trees on 22/3/21 - both in pots. 2.5 weeks later after many reminders - a bare rooted tree half the size of one of the trees that i ordered, turned up. No mention of the 2nd tree. I was told by email from Alan ( the person running this co. ) that there had been a mistake and he would check with the nursery to see what else they had. I emailed to say that I would like a full refund as had waited almost 3 weeks and to arrange pick up for the 1m tree that i had been sent. Unfortunately every where has now sold out of cherry’s - but instead of a reply I have just been ignored. My order total was £146. and I have approx. £15 worth of tree to show for it. I have emailed and called and am being totally ignored. I will be contacting both my credit card company and trading standards. It is my understanding that there is no actual nursery and that Alan is acting as a middle man sourcing products from elsewhere. RECEIVED FULL REFUND AFTER THIS REVIEW WAS WRITTEN- The ONE small tree that is ‘free’ is of no use to me, and can be picked up. With regards to 6 emails - One line emails that either do not answer a query or give incorrect info. PRIOR to me asking for a refund( WHEN I WAS THEN IGNORED) don’t count for much!

I ordered a cherry tree, paying extra to obtain one at least 175cm high. But when it arrived, the tree was only 100cm high. I complained, and they sent me a replacement tree. But the new one was still only 130cm high, well below the specs I had paid for. They seem to use 3rd party suppliers, who sometimes don't have good quality control. On the plus side, the customer service was extremely good in dealing with these problems, and gave me a partial refund.

We've used the site multiple times to order both ornamentals and volume trees and have always been pleased with them, and had great success once planted. The service, friendliness, and humour also make the whole purchasing experience a very pleasant "human" one. Will be using them again I'm sure!
Perfect service - friendly, responsive and Alan went the extra mile to ensure delivery in time for a special occasion.
I purchased a variety of fruit trees and "Senior Dogsbody" Alan pulled out all the stops to fulfill my challenging requirements. Highly recommended to all my friends. Alan's email communications are quirky, informative and charming :-)
My experience of this company was exceptional: I ordered and paid for an eucalyptus of modest height
but the next day I was called and told that they were
attempting to fulfill my requirements and would be in
touch. I then received an email to say that they were
upgrading my order to a taller eucalyptus - this was
delivered within days, very well packaged, and
approximately 7-8ft. At no extra charge!
Bought a Cherry Tree arrived promptly and looks a lovely shaped and healthy tree would recommend

Ordered a peach tree, a variety that doesn't get the leaf curl disease, instead I received a plum tree. Pictures and orders been emailed, 4 emails sent, no response. 45£ wasted. My genuine advice is do not buy trees online, just go to a garden center instead. Lesson learned. (Update: the seller refunded the 45£, so I corrected the review to 4 stars).

This online seller was a delight to deal with. Trees arrived fit, well and packaged beautifully. Communication from the seller was amazing. It is really refreshing to deal with an online seller who communicates well and does exactly what they say they will do.
I would highly recommend them.
Thanks Alan and the team.

Bought a pigeon feeder from trees online which has behaved mysteriously like a cherry tree ever since it was installed. Planted as per instruction, this bare root beauty has produced an abundance of cherries each year. Sadly, I have never tasted a single one and I seem to have attracted pigeons with highly addictive personalities. Every cherry is routinely consumed. One thing I have learned from this, which I am completely fascinated by is that they spit the stones out. Who knew!!
Un all seriousness though, cherries withstanding, I have had many more successes with my apple, plum, pear (amaaazing) and fig trees. This time next year I hope to also have blue, red and rasp berries to add to my little copse of fruity heaven. I have been advised on many occasions to net the fruit once they arrive, but to be brutally honest.....I am stuck on the step of stupid.
I'm a repeat customer, and have had one problem only in the past which was rectified immediately. Once upon a time, a tree died. We upheld the laws of nature but she didn't survive. The Earth can be a ruthless barstool. But I respectfully sent in my pictures, waited for a resurrection as per the laws of plants and then gratefully accepted my replacement come the spring when no signs of life had been observed nor recorded. A new leafier earth mother arrived within days of request, and she has been getting pigeons stoned every summer since.
1 ordered a 3 litre blueberry bush from trees on line, when it arrived it was a 2 litre pot and cost £28 the plant was mostly bare, i contacted Alan who calls himself chief dogsbody, to tell him my problem, he offered 20% off the baldy bush, I replied and asked for a refund he said yes as long as you cut up the bush and send pictures of the destroyed plant, a bit drastic, but I did, i sent pictures and emails and have heard nothing since, really bad service and bad product, do not use im off to trading standards now

I ordered a weeping willow on the 6th June and it arrived very securely wrapped up and boxed. The tree was in very good condition and very healthy. It arrived on the 26th, but due to Covid19, there was delay in it being delivered. It was worth the wait though. I’m very proud of it at the moment. Due to a member of staff being unwell the correspondence was not as prompt as I would have hoped, however, with Covid and being ill these things happen
Ordered a dozen of the young rowan tree plugs. Arrived promptly, well-packed and looked to be in good condition. Good value. My previous order of western red cedar plugs, a few years back, was also good with 100% success rate. Okay, you have to be patient with young plug plants but they established quickly and at only a fraction of the cost of slightly older, potted nursery specimens.
Could not of asked for a better service from start to finish it was perfect and i would recommend to anybody the plants came in perfect condition and well packaged and were healthy.
Thankyou very much
A happy customer!
I have recently ordered two trees. On the website, it clearly stated that one would not be shipped until August. This wasn’t a problem and I placed the order. The following day, I received a phone call asking if I wanted the trees to be sent together in August, or separately so that I could receive one straight away. I chose the latter option and the tree arrived within a couple of days, very carefully packaged and in lovely condition. The company actually made a mistake and sent multiple trees rather than the one I had ordered. I asked if they would like the spare trees returned and they advised me to keep them. So far, I am very impressed with this business. Customer service has been great and the attitude is helpful and friendly.
I recently purchased a "St. Julien A" damson tree.
It arrived super fast, was packaged perfectly and on opening the package, the tree inside was a perfect specimen, full of health and vigour.
Many thanks :-)

I'm writing this review in order to warn potential customers of trees-online.co.uk. The seller who operates this site , in addition to the poor service and false warranty he offered buyers, has been regularly trolling this and previous reviews by adding comments that contain personal information. This has been in contravention of Trustpilot's policy against the inclusion of names etc - something the seller complained about himself when we wrote the initial review including his name, and he replied signing his own full name. By breaching Trustpilot policy (a few times now) the seller knows that he can enjoy the review being taken offline each time whilst he delays amending his comments. Trustpilot have allowed him to take literally months (in total) to comply. Meanwhile the review is kept from the public. The seller's behaviour is indicative of the utter lack of customer service he offers when trading.
Last spring we ordered privet hedges from trees-online.co.uk who claimed to offer a "tree guarantee" as a selling point (they have since changed the details of the guarantee on their website). It seemed like a reassurance that we would have a fair chance of the plants growing successfully when planted. And if not, then perhaps we had a second chance with replacements under the guarantee.
LONG STORY SHORT: every plant - whether planted out or potted up in different composts - died within weeks and months of purchase with no replacements or refund offered.
We expected substantial looking plants delivered on the back of a truck. Instead, these tiny cuttings with small root balls and yellowing leaves arrived by post packed in a closed box about the size you'd expect a small jacket to be packed in.
Planted out, the leaves turned even paler yellow than they were when sent, then turned brown, until most of the plants shed all of their leaves completely within weeks and are now just brittle sticks poking out of the ground. Those we potted suffered a similar fate regardless of using different compost mix etc.
We informed the manager of trees-online.co.uk (also trading as icamltd or Internet Consultancy and Management Ltd from the same address) who asked for photos only to tell us that the plants would 'probably grow next year' and if they didn't grow, then to get back to them. In other words, we were expected to wait a whole year before claiming replacements under their "guarantee".
When we complained the seller started sending us massively long, ranting emails full of excuses. He's blamed everything on the plants dying including the weather, the soil, the mulch, pathogens in the mulch, 'someone must be killing them' and finally honey fungus, despite his 'tree consultant' allegedly examining the numerous photos we sent then claiming it was simple leaf shedding. In these lengthy emails he doesn't once offer a refund or replacement, but instead blames everything on us the buyer. I finally had to tell him to stop contacting me, then he started adding lengthy replies to the previous review I wrote, which he then reported to Trustpilot for including his name. Clearly, the man is unable to recognise that putting his energy into attacking customers and defending poor business practices will only succeed in losing him business.
Trees-online.co.uk guarantee is not a guarantee at all in our opinion. It's a selling gimmick to draw custom, not a genuine goodwill guarantee as it's commonly understood. Imagine they were selling TVs or puppies. 'If the TV still isn't working by next year, let us know. Try wiggling the aerial in the meantime.' Or, 'That puppy isn't dead! Our vet has examined the photos you sent and he's just resting. He'll likely be running around next spring once his fur grows back. If he doesn't wake up we'll send you another a year from now. Must be what you're feeding him, or a disease in the food, the weather where you are maybe, or you've over-watered him.... Try loosening his collar...' Guaranteed hedges? Guaranteed waste of money more like. Without replacement plants we decided to put a fence up instead. The idea of waiting a year for new plants, as most people planting a hedgerow will agree, is utterly stupid and simply the seller's attempt to welch on his website promises.
