Didn’t try a hard sell which is good with me!
Nice conversation about things other than a new phone.

I am trying to switch to Vodafone from Zen. My initial telephone call lasted an hour to get me switched (really?!!!). Well that's what I thought. Agreed date to switch, email confirming my transfer request from current provider. Email confirming my account with Vodafone. Two emails from Vodafone to say the are going to call (why, I've already been on the phone to you for an hour). 1st call didn't happen. 2nd call, I answered but nobody there. No call back. I then get an email from existing provider to say they are going to continue to charge me for their service. I called them to ask why, "because Vodafone haven't placed an order with them". I try to call Vodafone who then won't speak to me because I don't have a PIN. A pin?!?!? for someone I am trying to switch to. They tell me it takes 48 hours to reset!!! 48 hours to reset something that I don't know as Im a new customer (or I'm trying to be), before you will even look at what you haven't done. You must be able to see on your screen the current state of what is going on? Why, oh why would you treat someone like this and not try and help a new customer. Rather than saying I will look into this, you are trying to hide behind security check. Who does this help? Why not just be proactive, oh look, I've found an order that has been missed / no processed. I know, I will show good customer skills and get this processed and then call them back to let them know what has happened. I am suspecting they don't want new customers.

I’ve been a Vodafone customer for over 20 years, so it genuinely saddens me to be writing this review.
My iPhone 16 256GB developed a fault after I had owned it for around a year. Vodafone initially recognised that there was a problem and replaced the battery. Unfortunately, the phone subsequently developed the same/similar problems again and stopped functioning properly.
I therefore returned the handset for repair again. On this occasion, however, the repair centre said they could not find a fault and returned the phone to me without resolving the problem. I have found this particularly frustrating because the handset had previously been considered faulty enough for Vodafone to replace the battery.
The phone also came back from the first repair with dents and significant scratches that were not present when I sent it away. The handset had been recorded as being in new condition when it was submitted.
I subsequently had to send it away again and have now been without my working handset for approximately six weeks.
What has made this experience particularly difficult is the lack of ownership and communication. I have repeatedly had to contact Vodafone myself to chase the repair, the repair centre, my complaint and the return of the handset.
At one point I was told that my complaint had been resolved and closed, despite the fact that I still didn’t have a working phone and the agreed resolution had not actually been completed.
I was promised callbacks that didn’t happen, sent emails that weren’t acknowledged and repeatedly had to contact Vodafone myself to find out what was happening.
Eventually, Vodafone agreed that if they could not provide a like-for-like replacement, they would refund the money I had paid towards the handset. I was then sent the faulty phone back so that I could return it.
I have now been waiting a week for a new return label.
The phone is literally sitting on my desk, ready to be returned. I have repeatedly asked Vodafone for the label, but their system has apparently become stuck. I was told a new label would be provided within 48 hours and that I would have it by Thursday. It is now a week later and I still don’t have one.
Vodafone have subsequently confirmed to me in writing that the delay is not my fault and will not affect my agreed refund.
The whole situation has taken an enormous amount of my time and energy. I’ve had to rely on an old phone that doesn’t allow me to do many of the things I normally need to do, including banking, and I’ve had to delete photographs and other data simply to make it usable.
I’ve also had the inconvenience of travelling to the store, paying for parking, taking time out of my life to make repeated phone calls and waiting for promised callbacks.
I also explained that I would be happy to remain with Vodafone if they could find a resolution that recognised the inconvenience I had experienced. One of the things I asked for was for Vodafone to waive the upfront cost of a replacement handset. Given the circumstances, this seemed like a relatively small gesture for Vodafone that would have made a significant difference to me as a customer and may have allowed me to stay with them.
Instead, I was offered £50 airtime credit.
I appreciate that they offered something, but it didn’t address the immediate problem I was facing or make me feel that Vodafone genuinely understood the impact this situation had had on me.
I’ve been a loyal customer for over 20 years. I’ve also previously had Vodafone broadband, and despite having had very few problems over the years, this first major complaint has completely damaged my trust in the company.
I don’t expect every technical fault to be resolved instantly. What I did expect was someone to take ownership of the problem, recognise how disruptive this has been and actually see it through to resolution.
Instead, I have spent weeks chasing Vodafone while still being left without a working phone.
I simply want to return the phone, receive the refund I’ve been promised, get a new handset and get on with my life.
It’s incredibly disappointing that after 20 years as a customer, this is how I’ve been treated.

Great experience, was greeted by a fine gentleman who then passed me on to someone who dealt with my enquiry.
Store had a welcoming atmosphere compared to its competitors on the high street.
Will definitely be coming back in once I have all my bits together but very pleased with the initial experience.
