Bury - Component replacement and MOT

Recently used the Bury branch for new shocks, pads and MOT for my car. Work was done quickly at a good price. Overall experience was great. Definitely recommended

Great garage

Great garage, carried out the repairs to a satisfactory standard even washed and valeted the car afterwards little bit pricier than other garages but you get a decent warranty and professional work so no worries about the work carried out as is missing from a lot of other garages these days.

Excellent, friendly service

I've been going to VolksMaster whenever my car is out of warranty for over 30 years and never been disappointed. Since Pentagon, the SEAT dealer, disappeared from Oldham, I've been left with no choice but I feel Volksmaster's work is better value for money and more friendly anyway. If they do recommend something extra needs doing it always feels genuinely necessary. Very happy to recommend them.

Oldham and van centre

Oldham and van centre. The team that did the MOT on my van were great. This isn't my first visit and to be honest wouldn't take my canpervan any where else. They are friendly. Keep you informed most important they care.

First class service

Easy process to book a service and MOT. Excellent updates including the video of the car.

Audi a3 service and mot

Booked service and mot with the Bury branch. Also had brake fluid changed and air-conditioning serviced. Given price when booking in . Rear shock absorbers leaking,the car dud have a bit of a wobble on so not unexpected. Steve sent a video of the cars health check and a quote for the extra work . All done to the usual high standard car feels like a new one again . Would highly recommend volksmaster the staff a really helpful and keep you up-to-date with the progress. Thanks again

Volksmaster…

Volksmaster offers a different service than most garages. I only went for an oil change yet my vehicle was fully inspected with no extra cost added to the oil change. The staff are helpful, friendly and polite and Kat makes an excellent coffee. The bill was fully itemised and a complete breakdown given. I would recommend Volksmaster over a main dealer.

My 26 year old Audi S3 went in for the…

My 26 year old Audi S3 went in for the CV boot repair that was picked up when I had my cam belt and water pump replaced. Nick as ever was really helpful and went the extra mile as sourcing parts for modern classics cars is not easy. Mandy as always kept me up to date and provided the best support and customer service you could ask for. Thanks to Nick, Mandy and all the team at Oldham Ashton Road branch, you have done me proud yet again. The only place I will take my Audi’s.

Excellent customer service and professional services. MOt

Brilliant service with a garage that knows what customer service is all about. Staff in front desk are very helpful. Used to own a VW and this was where I had it serviced and mot'd now have an audi and have returned. Recent service and not and yet again like my VW. Wouldn't use any where else

I had an engine management light on my…

I had an engine management light on my 2016 VW Touareg,So I plugged in my code reader in it came up with a exhaust oxygen censor , So I booked in to Voksmaster in Heywood they told me they needed to put my car on thier diagnostic machine at a cost of £60 this I accepted approximately 1 hour later I was informed their diagnostic machine had confirmed the same problem however they would need to make further investigations so the following day the 23/12/2025 I returned my Touareg 3 hours later I returned and was issued with a bill for a further £346.50 only to be informed that my car needed a new exhaust system at an estimated cost of £4.413.78p UNBELIEVABLE not the price of the exhaust BUT the £406.50p to be told the Touareg needed a full exhaust!!, (also the DPF had been replaced 2 weeks prior to me visiting Heywood Volksmaster , Seems to me it took longer to do the estimate than to do the inspection!. I was then informed that the parts would take approximately 10 working days to be delivered and that it was necessary I paid the part’s upfront. Yours dissatisfied M Barber.

Thank you for your feedback. To clarify our process, as a VW specialist, we perform comprehensive diagnostic investigations that go far beyond basic code reading. Our goal is to ensure a "first-time fix," preventing the unnecessary cost of replacing functioning parts.

As discussed during the initial booking, we charge for the technical expertise and time required to reach an accurate conclusion. We only proceed with such investigations and subsequent repairs once customer authorisation is received.

Regarding the repair itself: because these specific components are non-returnable, our policy requires payment upfront. While I understand the frustration regarding the back-order status, these lead times are set by the manufacturer and are unfortunately outside of our control. We will, of course, keep you updated as soon as the parts arrive.
