We purchased carpet for our living room…
We purchased carpet for our living room floor few years ago. I was impressed with quality of service not only in the shop itself but also quality of craftsmanship from the fitters!
When we made a decision to change carpets upstairs of our house, we went straight back to the shop on Picton Road!
Again we weren’t disappointed. Knowledgeable staff and quality carpet fitters. I am very particular, and a perfectionist, so low quality job would not be tolerated. I am very very pleased!
Next year we will be changing flooring in the kitchen, and I’ll be back!
Thank you so much!
Brilliant service from start to finish…
Brilliant service from start to finish and top quality flooring .....
Shockingly bad customer service. Avoid.
Ordered new conservatory floor from here as my girlfriend recommended them so didn’t mind paying a premium for supposed quality. Fitters came Friday morning and only noticed 2 packs of flooring were damaged after they were halfway through the job. They then left to see if they could get replacement packs to finish the job. Unfortunately none of the stores had any so I was left with half a floor until Monday. Monday came and got the call saying it would now be finished on Tuesday. Rang customer services where the recorded ad insisted Walton Floor Centre was the best around and only started a job if they were certain it could be finished on the day etc. which only added to my frustration. Advisor just kept saying sorry but “these things happen” and insisted it was company policy not to compensate customers under any circumstances despite me being left without a floor for over 3 days and having to book days off work unnecessarily. I understand that sometimes unexpected problems arise but when you pay the prices this company charge then you should expect to be compensated when things go badly wrong not fobbed off by someone who clearly doesn’t care. My advice is save yourself some money and buy the flooring yourself then look for a reputable joiner to fit it because it really couldn’t be any worse than these guys.

Excellent service from ordering till…
Excellent service from ordering till carpet fitting. The guys cleared up after themselves, took shoes off to go upstairs!
Would give zero stars if I could
Would give zero stars if I could! Started off great, sales person was good and arranged fitting very quickly, fitting of laminate throughout the house was completed in one day! However, beading came of in various places, no sealant around toilets/sinks and gap left at the bottome of the stairs. Had someone come out to fix issues but had no experience using sealant and we were left with blobs all over! Asked for somebody different to fix issues, they sent same person, next time person didnt show and the final time the person hadnt been told of all the issues so was unprepared! Contacted several times told would get back to me and still nothing, beading has now come up in lots more places.....
Owner contacted me after this review and was very apologetic and willing to rectify issues without delay. This was approximately 1 month ago, I have since had a workman out but brought the wrong beading, promised to come back the following week but was a no show. He took beading from the bathroom to ensure he brought the correct one next time, so we now have missing beading too! The owner insisted he would sort the issues but has since ignored correspondence, absolutely shocking!
I think, if you dont have any issues, this company is spot on, however, the slightest issue and it seems to go to pot!
Spent almost £4000 on my flooring....shocking!
Good friendly service
Good friendly service. Carpet fitted in timely manor, as wanted and for good price.
Sent photos of a problem over a week…
have a problem with the wooden flooring moving and also some of the beading coming off . The manager has now promised the problem will be sorted.
Carpet Unsafe
Carpet repeatedly coming up over an eighteen month period. Numerous visits to try and resolve until fitter said it was a problem with the way the carpet had been cut by the initial fitter. He said a replacement would be needed if it happened again but once it did happen the company stopped responding to emails, letters and made promises to call that never materialised.
Now left with an unsafe carpet on the stairs which is of particular concern with a small child.
EDIT 12/11/18.
Emailed immediately after the reply was received below. No contact has been made from Friday morning to Monday night so I can only conclude that the reply was a public relations exercise rather than an actual attempt to resolve the problem.
Happy to retract if anyone does get in touch.

I ordered my floor for the bathroom
I ordered my floor for the bathroom, paid a deposit and waited in for them to come fit it. The man lied to me and promised he would come the next night. Again nobody came. I demanded my refund back and spoke to the manager the next day who apologised and promised it would be done for me. I said I would rather go somewhere else. They are very unprofessional and also very overfamiliar, the man I dealt with at first, shortened my first name and kept calling me it. I found this very rude and obnoxious. Stay away from this company they are liars!

I would would use Walton flooring again
I had a slight hick up with Walton flooring at first, I thought I would support a local firm, there were some issues from start to finish. Firstly estimator wrongly quoted for screeding materials, so more money when I went into shop to pay. Flooring fitter said I needed two lots of screed for luxury vynal, so that cost me another £300.00 which I didn't think was my fault, as it was wrongly estimated. Had to pay it, as company said it was one if those things !!!. Not acceptable as far as I was concerned. instead of taking 2 days to do the job it took 4 (first day fitter was off due to his new baby keeping him away all night , but Walton flooring didn't let me know he wasn't coming) when no one turned up by 11 am i had to ring the shop !!. We had to move out of house due to floors had to be screeded, so that cost us another nights stay in local Travelodge for 3 nights instead of two plus the £300.00 extra, . my luxury vynal is now lifting in the bathroom, !!! My flooring cost well over £2,000. . Walton flooring have apologised for the inconvenience , and are sending someone out to repair floor. It's ashame its taken over 6 months to put right. But everyone happy in the end. Thank you.

I would not recommend this company
I would not recommend this company, particularly the Wavertree Store.
Extremely poor service.
I ordered vinyl flooring early this year and was quoted a price.
I said I would go away and think about it.
When I returned to the shop, I was told that a mistake had been made and the quote was incorrect and the actual price was higher.
I accepted this and paid a deposit of £50.
I had a phone call several days later to tell me that the second quote was also incorrect and the price was higher again but they decided to honour the second quote.
I didn't give a date to fit as at that point, my property was being decorated.
When the decorating was complete, I had changed my mind regarding the vinyl flooring and went to the shop to ask if I could change to another type of flooring and if I could transfer the £50 deposit already paid.
The answer was no, not possible.
I could only use the deposit on the original order otherwise, forgo it.
The salesman wasn't particularly understanding and I left the store without purchasing anything and losing my deposit in the process.
It was the fact that, I wasn't asking for my money back, I was just asking to transfer the deposit to another order which was of similar price but the answer was a very unhelpful and inflexible no.
I felt that the customer service was very poor and would never recommend this company to anyone due to this experience.
Disappointed
The guy that came out to measure up promised us that we could have laminate through our lounge, kitchen and vestibule, running seamlessly. We booked because of this and paid the deposit. When the fitter arrived he immediately told us that it wasn’t possible. I would have cancelled but we had already removed our carpets so had to go ahead. The fitter was lovely and did an excellent job but I’m not happy that I didn’t get what I was promised
Great
Used twice for carpet and laminate and very pleased with both. Would recommend.
