We could not attend our friends funeral…
We could not attend our friends funeral service yesterday but we could watch it at home it did click off but just restarted it again then once it was over with u can go back into it using same log in details and rewatch it again we did that as we had missed a wee bit of it due to it being a slight bad connection during service
I also watched a live webcam view of our other friends service a few wks ago and the video was still there for few wks afterwards too & we did watch it again a few times and it went perfectly without a hitch when watching again both times so it’s really a brilliant thing that you have brought to family and friends who can’t attend funerals due to covid restrictions thank you for doing that it’s very much appreciated from Maggie Brian & Shaun

Live stream of funeral did not work.
The funeral live stream did not work. I see from other reviews this is common. Due to covid i could not attend the funeral in person and this was a way for me to take part in my Uncles funeral. I am very sad that this was not possible. Wesley media are obviously aware of these problems and are doing nothing to resolve them. I could watch later after the service was uploaded but this was not the same. I am very disappointed with Wesley Media.

Cause and Effect
Of course people will vent hurt & disappointment when the streaming of an ‘online’ funeral service goes wrong, but considering that Wesley Media only provide the setup of the webcasting and have no influence over the equipment in the chapel / the BB facility / connection drop outs etc: then their term ‘unable to take responsibility for measures beyond our control’ should be understood too.
We have just watched the live-streamed funeral of such an important person in our lives where everything worked perfectly. The sound and picture qualities were excellent; OK, so the camera angle was not ideal, but the overwhelming feeling of being there in person helped us to say goodbye so meaningfully.
For those who have not had such a positive experience; it’s tragic.

Excellent service from Wesley Media
So happy with the service provided for my father’s funeral. The music, the photo montage and the live streaming were simple to arrange and and worked really well. The photo montage accompanied one of the songs and was great given we are currently not allowed to sing. The live streaming gave those unable to attend due to covid restrictions the opportunity to participate in the service. All in all an excellent service.

A job well done! I have read the reviews previously…
I have read the reviews previously submitted and whilst everyone is entitled to an opinion I feel quite strongly that I need to offer balance, based of course, on my own experience with this company.
I needed to have a live link and recording of my mothers funeral for those who could not attend. I approached Wesley Media and I have to say that from beginning to end they were really very good. In the first place we knew precisely what we needed and they helped us achieve this with sound advice, backed up by the odd phone call to check detail. On the day everything worked very well and I can say no more other than offer my thanks for a job well done.
At a time when the occasion can overwhelm, I suggest that if you contemplate using them, you do so with a clear idea of what you want in the first place. After all, they cannot offer a god service if they are ill advised from the outset!

I was unable to attend a recent…
I was unable to attend a recent friend’s funeral; not just because of the current pandemic, but the distance living so far away. It’s the first time I’ve ever experienced an ‘online’ funeral service. I was overwhelmed with the quality of the live-streaming of the event. It captured the whole emotion of the funeral service beautifully and I was able to say goodbye in my own way. Excellent service.

I am glad I didn't read all these…
I am glad I didn't read all these reviews before my dad's funeral as I probably would not have used the Web cast. I watched it after the funeral and it was really good. The sound could have been a bit louder but it was clear. I had some friends who couldn't attend the funeral and they saw it live. I have not had any bad feedback about it. Its a shame its gone off now. But was on there for two weeks after.

If I could leave NO STARS I would have
If I could leave NO STARS I would have. I and my family received the link details through a redistributed email, and we managed to log on OK - so one star for that I guess. We waited for the service to begin... and waited... and waited... My sister called the number below and was told there was a technical issue at the crematorium. They would try and find out. I then noticed the disclaimer at the foot of their page - available once logged on mind you, which lists issues 'outside their control'. Their agent laid the blame squarely at the feet of the crematorial's end. Eventually a video was uploaded with a whole 3 seconds of footage. a bit later an information page popped up informing us of the problems and affirmed they are "experiencing some technical issues outside of Wesley Media's control'. Sorry but I have been working from home for 7 months during COVID-19 and, whilst every now and then I have some technical issues, it's nowhere near 83% of the time - which ties in with the One Star review percentage Wesley Media receives on Trust Pilot. If this was a TV that didn't work I would return it to the shop I bought it at, not the manufacturer - unfortunately you cannot get a replacement funeral service, so what's the point. Sorry Wesley Media, but you need to do something about the service package you offer - if part of the supply chain is failing, you sort it, rather than just continue to take the money and run. All of us have been left upset and distressed by this experience - like 83% of your other customers who have left a review on here. Appalling!

A very disappointing experience
A very disappointing experience for the many who were watching around the world when the service for my wife was cut off before the prayers and committal. Not impressed with the reaction to my complaint to the crematorium who suggested it was all due to the fault of the viewers' equipment and nothing to do with them. This didn't explain why the recording available after the service stopped at exactly the same moment for 5 days afterwards. Then after persistent complaints from my funeral director the missing segment suddenly materialised and was visible on the recording for the remaining 2 days. The quality of the sound and picture is acceptable so why is it so difficult for whoever is responsible for the webcast to ensure that the complete service is available at the time? This is particularly important during Covid restrictions with only limited attendance permitted but if you are offering this service on an exclusive basis then it is simply a fundamental requirement to get it right. I received no apology and no credit against the cost. Beware that you may suffer a similar experience and find little caring from the staff responsible. Make arrangements for an independent recording if this is important to you.

I have been doing a bit of research and I have been surprised to find out that Wesley Media only provide the setup of the webcasting, its is not Wesley Media web camera at the sites it is the own sites equipment, also they have no control over the BB or connection drop outs, I presume this is BT.
Anyway thank you at the Counties Crematorium for the fantastic service provided.

Avoid at all costs
Two groups of family in New Zealand and Australia gathered to watch a funeral in the UK online as not allowed to travel due to COVID-19.
Live stream not working and support team could not care less. When you are in the business of live steaming funerals, this is the biggest failure possible.
There is no excuse for this level of incompetence.

Watching MY MOTHERS FUNERAL online
Watching MY MOTHERS FUNERAL online. Suddenly all I got was no signal.
NOT IMPRESSED.... if it matters then don't bother with these guys
When I contacted them they had no idea what was going on and they said they'd check. Fat lot of good that is. For something like this you would hope they'd be monitoring transmission. They are obviously aware that this type of thing can happen but dont care enough to keep an eye on it .

When the system works perfectly it's excellent
I am writing this to redress the balance a little from the earlier reviews. We have just watched the live-streamed funeral of a close relative. Everything worked perfectly; the sound and picture qualities were both excellent, and it was a moving occasion. It is tragically unfortunate that other reviewers have had such disappointing experiences, and this is not to diminish their unhappiness at all; just to say that, when the system does work properly, it is excellent.

Funeral webcast
I arranged a webcast for my brothers funeral through my funeral director. I was told that the webcast would be available 3-4 working days after the funeral. A week went by and I emailed Wesley Media, they responded by saying I needed to get the login details from the funeral director. I contacted the funeral director and they said this was nonsense - it has nothing to do with them.
I then phoned them up and waited for 45 minutes on hold before being told that I would get the webcast by the end of the week. I asked if this was definite, and the customer services rep said 'well.....maybe' so was clearly just fobbing me off. After a further two weeks of chasing I eventually got the recording three weeks after the funeral. In fairness the recording was good quality so I can't give them a 1 star review.
I get the impression they are overwhelmed due to the increase in demand due to Covid 19. My advice would be to get an attendee to use their phone to stream or record the service if the chapel allows and save yourself some money and a lot of hassle.

I can only re-iterate all other reviews
I can only re-iterate all the other reviews. As a family we tried to give my sister the perfect send off... she deserved no less. She had suffered enough.
I am appalled by Wesley Media services.
My sister's funeral was held on the 26th May 2020 and I am only now reading the reviews as no-one was able to get a live feed of the funeral service. We had been re-assured that there would not be a problem on the day, we said we would delay the funeral if there was a known problem prior to the service. On the day we were told all was OK.
Today we were lucky enough to get a copy of the recording of the funeral, but as family should not have been put in this position.
I feel really bad, if it was not for living a 6+ hr drive away (and looking after my elderly mother) I would have been at the funeral.

Absolutely appalling
Absolutely appalling
Where do I start. Funeral was due to start at 1:30pm. After 20 minutes the screen was still stating please wait. Spoke to several family members having the same issue, followed the various suggestions on the waiting screen to no avail.
AT 1:50pm I Called the contact number on the website where I was informed that I was number 11 in the queue. At 14:22pm I was number 2, At 15:15pm I finally moved to number 1 in the queue. My call was finally answered at 15:26pm. A total of 1 hour and 36 minutes on hold.
The gentleman finally answered and his basic response was he was trying but what did I expect him to do. They are dealing with multiple live streams. I suggested that the company was taking on more than they could handle during this difficult time and perhaps they should address the work that they accept if they can't handle it. He terminated the call stating that he did not need to accept this abuse. At no point was I abusive, I didn't raise my voice, i did not swear I merely pointed out that the level of service was unacceptable even during the current pandemic.
I understand that during the current pandemic we will have to lower our expectations, however I didn't think we would have to lower them as low as to receive no service and no one to answer the phone in time to reach a solution. This is a sad send off for a lady that would have normally had a packed venue. To say that I am fuming is an understatement and the level of compassion for grieving families is appalling.
I would recommend that you avoid this company at all costs.

DO NOT USE!
DO NOT USE!! Both my Grandmother and Auntie have sadly died during this pandemic. we as a family have had to stick to the difficult decision of only having 10 family member at the funeral so the rest of us have had to rely on this service. both times now the live stream has crashed and i am unable to access my aunties funeral because apparently the login they emailed to us does not work. we have tried to contact them and have been on hold for 20 minutes now. so now we have missed the whole funeral while being on hold to their "emergency helpline" I sadly could not view my Grandmothers funeral for a full 2 weeks after it had taken place and it unfortunately looks like it will be the same case with my aunt . We are now unable to grieve as a family. I understand that this can be a difficult service to provide but don't offer to do it unless you can actually honor your commitment. You have driven a tank through the emotional wellbeing of our family. Now 35 minutes on hold. Still no answer.
