I'm facing a similar problem like may…

I'm facing a similar problem like many others: after 2 weeks, 5 calls and 15 emails, my account is still frozen, with more than 2k euros in.
I send all documents requested (I underline I'm a verified user, with a lot of preloaded documents when I start opening the account), but they wrote my SEPA reports (downloaded from online banking page), are no valid…
I ask for a refund, and wait for it.
Never seen a situation like this, because I was happy in the first month, but now I'm alter and don't know if this is a real company or a fraud mechanism, looking at similar situations like mine..
Hope they resolve.

Last week they sent an email, give me a lot of excuse. After that, no other info, no other feedback, a blackhole... stay away from this service if you want to save your money.

Registered with them believing i can use them for a current account

Registered with them believing i can use them to have money exchanged from Cryptocurrency available for purchases. How wrong was i?

They blocked the account and asked for bank statements from the exchange company who sent the funds to my account. After i contacted the exchange company they provided the statements which i forwarded to Weststein. WE asked for the reason of the incoming funds, i told them the money is from my crypto savings and i also provided wallet screenshots and exchanger transfer screenshots. I received an email saying that the account will be closed and the money refunded. ITS BEEN NOW 2 MONTHS since they said they will refund and when i ask them they give a standard reply that the review takes more time. WHAT IS THERE TO REVIEW for 2 months? Do they use old time Pentium 1 technology? This is worse than the traditional banks.

Dont use them, they are unfriendly to independent people and freelancers and they steal funds. (money for the monthly fee is still charged although they said the account will be closed and funds are blocked). What kind of a service blocks money for 2 months without any explanation?

Tried not to give a bad review but the service is by no means normal.

They dont understand or care about their users

I also got bad experinece with this card. In the begining it was working very well. So suddenly they blocked my card. They have now for the last week asked for documentation for my funds. I have provided all, but they keep using too long time. I am stucked on holiday without any cash, all I have is locked to my account that is blocked. Its also the only card I got with me. I told them my situation, but they really dont care. If they dont unblock my card the next two days I will report to police and report them for violating GDPR privacy. I see here on trustpilot that it will be easy to get support since so many has experinced the same. No info, no real names only “it will take time to review”....

They blocked my card and the account with 1.400euro charged

they blocked my card and my account with 1400 euro charged and they don't want to give me info .
I sent them my documents but It seems they are playing with me.
Important detail is that there is not any surname about this people.
I trusted them in the beginning but I'm stating to realize the situation now that I'm reading the negative fedbacks of people in the same situation.
Contact me please if you are in the same situation and stay away from them .
If there is some news ( I have many dubts abou it ) I will let you know.
I will find a solution and this people if no answer.

Very poor support

Very poor support. My account was blocked foto no reason. I send them all documents. They told they will send back money to sender (to my contractors), but at the moment nothing happened. They looks like a scammers and use your money, how do you think, freeze for longer than month 1,2k € is ok?
If no movement ar Monday, 17. September 2018 i will send report to police and Bank of Latvia.

Same issue as everyone else asked for invoices I sent then asked for other stuff sent then ask you for transactions proof sent then more stuff sent then got another email for invoices sent them again but ithe seems you have many different people working with no communication and they just want to freeze funds for themselves I am going to report to lietvos bankas as this company needs reviewing not our accounts I am in morrocco and can't even feed my kids as they blocked account 2 weeks ago

Account frozen, documents provided, account still frozen 25 days later...

July 4th my account was frozen. After repeated emails and phone calls, a week later I got a response asking for some documents. I provided the documents the same day. 10 days later I was asked to provide more documents which I did. Up to today 21 days later my account is still frozen. The verification process, can be done in 48 hours as with other banks.

If you're ready to be locked out of your funds for weeks, go ahead and use Weststein!

Account got blocked, no contact, help!

Well, seems I am not the only one: i have exactly they same issue!
For some time, my Weststein account worked fine, eventhough the fee's are verry high...

And since yesterday, without ANY warning, they frozen my account, so I can NOT withdraw or transfer ANY money.

Normally support responds to my chats within seconds...now NO reaction at ALL.

I challange you, Weststein: resolve this issue in a professional matter with me, or I have no other option then to assume you are scammers and I will post bad reviews about you everywhere on the net.

Stay away from these clowns, you will loose your time and money with them.

UPDATE: It's ubelievable, after a few months they did lock my card again!
Stay away from these clowns, you will loose your time and money with them.

EDIT: They finally did unblock my account and all works again.

Here is the summary:

Pros:
- Card works perfectly and accepted everywhere
- Fast SEPA deposits
- Realtime online statement
- Low fees

Cons:
One day they will block your account with all funds on it without any warning.
After 1-2 weeks they will finally reply to your email and ask for funds source and to provide lots of documents.
When you send them that documents they requested (payment orders, etc.) they just keep asking for more papers!
Their replies are slow and they just keep your account locked and ask for more documents again and again.
My story:
One day I've found that my card does not work anymore.
WestStein support told me they need the papers about funds source, 400 EUR/week ATM withdrawal is "unusually high" for them!
I've sent them a lot of papers, they kept asking for more, finally they told me they need my TAX DECLARATION!!!
About a week after sending them the scan of my tax declaration they finally unblocked my account.
It took about ONE MONTH for them to unblock my account.

And after a few months they BLOCKED MY ACCOUNT AGAIN!

Stay away - they are criminals!

DOGGIE COMPANY

I just found out today that I am not able to use my account with my own money to send a wire or even use my card. In May I got a message from them that I need to provide documents where my money come from, after doing so, today still no response, they don't answer my emails and the money that was in this account has been frozen and confiscated by weststein. If you call the customer support they will not help you out and you cannot speak directly to the risk department.
I called them several time so BEWARE does never use. I never had this problem before where the bank froze your verified account after you load money without informing you. If they will not solve the problem I will spread this issue to all my friends and relatives who I recommend to used WestStein card but after this, I will make sure nobody will lose money and time. I will also bring this to European Banking Authorithy as this sound doggie to me so please solve my case asap than I will correct my review
