Wickes - Cardiff Reviews 

Rude and extremely disappointing...attended Wickes in Cardiff yesterday with a view to make a large purchase of several bathroom suites however was treated so poorly.
Isabel was so very rude it was unbelievable. Met with David today at Wickes in Cardiff although he was polite I have concerns still. 1. My staff complait was dismissed and ignored. 2. Unfortunately I was made to feel discriminated as David kept reply to my partner not myself...even though it was my appointment and it was me who was looking to make the purchase....possibly it because I question his knowledge or because I am a female who knows but that was how I was made to feel. 3. Was told I could not purchase an item as it didn't exsist in his 25years of bathroom fitting experience I had to show him that in fact the item was advertised in their brochure therefore did exsist. 4. Was quoted £4000.00, no itemised quote provided.

Decided to go else where due to the appalling way we felt treated. Went elsewhere who were lovely and purchased what we wanted for half the price. Now they will have the full order to purchase bathroom suites for all our 16 properties. As pretty woman would say...big mistake, huge, mistake!

This one star rating is no reflection on the staff at Wickes on Newport Rd Cardiff. I'm a regular customer there have always had excellent service but beware of the company that manage the parking at that location. Ukps are absolute criminals. I've been charged for going there and not being a customer?? Also they are charging me for 2 days parking.. I was there for 5 minutes! This company did a similar thing to another member of my family... I won't go there again. Sorry Wickes.

I had a consultation with Wayne Tyler-Grant for my bathroom renovation two years ago, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! I promised to save money to return for my kitchen design. Luckily, Wayne was at the Wickes office in Cardiff and came for measurements the same day. He sent me his ideas the next day, demonstrating his deep understanding of kitchen design and passion for creating beautiful spaces.

Wayne took the time to listen to my needs and preferences, offering valuable suggestions that elevated the design. His attention to detail was exceptional, and I appreciated how he kept changing his design to meet my needs. Thank you for your hard work and creativity!

We called in the Newport Road store and we were greeted by Isabella Kakembo. She was exceptionally helpful and friendly with good ideas as she proceeded to design our kitchen. My wife is delighted, as am I, that we chose the Midnight Blue range with white worktops. Isabella was very professional and we bought the kitchen immediately. Thank you Isabella.

Nearly every parcel arrived with the boxes badly damaged and taped up obviously by the carrier . Parts missing damaged doors and broken pieces . Sent so many e mails sent photos of the damage . Still no one as picked up the 2 parcels to be returned . I’ve actually given up worse service I’ve ever endured

We visited Wickes with the idea of having a complete re-design of our en-suite bathroom. From our initial visit, Wayne was absolutely fantastic in advising us on our concerns and ideas for a walk in shower in a restricted space. Wayne home called after our initial consultation and confirmed his plans would work for us.
It has been a great experience planning this en-suite.

Isabella was super polite and helpful. Really creative and provided great ideas for our bathroom. We gave basic ideas and she brought them to life. Isabella was very professional and transparent with costs and charges etc. overall great service!

My partner and I went to Wickes on Sunday 23th Feb for a kitchen design appointment and Isabella was our design consultant. We really enjoyed Isabella’s professionalism and patience with all our requests. She was able to find the best solution for our quirky kitchen and to meet our needs. She was very competent and kind and we would like to thank her for seeing us today.

Purchased an entire bathroom makeover for 3 of my home’s bathrooms and the whole process with Wayne Tyler-Grant was amazing! Not only did he do the home visit and design the bathrooms with me, but he also made sure to future-proof it as I asked. He even made sure to do a home visit with my fitter to make sure all design information was passed across accurately. Great experience!

I booked a kitchen design consultation with Isabella and my experience with her exceeded all expectations Her warmth patience and professionalism as she held space for me ro explore and express my ideas was impressive. We had a great experience working with the Interior Designer (Isabella) at Wickes. She went above and beyond to help us visualise and revamp our new kitchen. Always had a solution on how we can utilise space and cut down on costs . Overall a really seamless and enjoyable process. Highly recommended!

We needed to order a few cabinets and a worktop for a small utility space. Despite the design being simple and budget orientated, Isabella gave us very helpful advice and presented all the options. We were so impressed with the service that we wondered why we hadn't considered Wickes when we purchased our kitchen a few years ago.

Went to the Cardiff branch to collect something bought online. Person on the checkout was quite abrupt and when I asked if there was a receipt, rudely raised his voice and said your order confirmation is your receipt. I told him there was no need to be rude, at which point he smiled and and seemed to laugh. Asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager. What hope is there!

Good listening , Isabella allowed me to change my draft order and sought all items quickly. Excellent service

Wrong size shower Not enough tiles 6 boxes Wrong sink told lies when they didn't order Wright size had to take back my self shower tray and cubicle so they would send Wright one then send a sample tile instead of a full size tile so we still can't use shower. This has taken 4 weeks it goes on and on

I needed my order sorted ready for delivery as it was all messed up by the customer services department. Isobella at the cardiff store was very helpful indeed. She has sorted everything out for me and my delivery should take place on the desired date. This review is all about her fantastic customer service. Here's hoping it all works out well. Updated review could follow but it will not be due to the service at the store. Many thanks Isobella.

Was in today trying to pay - one gentleman tied up on phone - two others just standing chatting ignoring me no acknowledgement. Man on phone then realised and called ( I believe name was Cheryl ) lady over to serve and looked most unhappy had disturbed her .

Fantastic service from Anna from Wickes Cardiff Colchester Ave store yesterday. She very patiently helped us order a lifestyle kitchen and talked us through the various sizes of units etc which we couldn’t have done without her help. Thank you again Anna!

new parking rules, I got a hundred pound fine for obstructive parking, wich meant ,one wheel on the white line, come on,if you cant sell your over priced gear,dont try to make the motorist pay ,screwfix and toolstation, are a better option, cheaper to,and no RIP off parking.
